WRT54GS brick... I flashed the firmware via tftp v4

I am able to ping 192.168.1.1 successfully, but when I try to access the web interface it times out. I really need your help!

As long as you are able to ping, you can reflash the firmware.   You may need to use a JTAG cable & a debricking program.  Only as a last resort...

  • utility based on the Web shows again the old version of the firmware - HELP PLEASE

In September of last year, I replaced my old Linksys with a new (BEFSR41 ver 4.3).  I started to get in trouble yesterday, so I consulted the web-based utility and noticed that the window says: the firmware 2.0 version!

I tried to update to the latest firmware available for my model, following the instructions on the site but something went wrong and the firmware has been altered. Finally, I managed to update the firmware via tftp utility, and he said that the upgrade has gone through. But the utility still shows the version of the firmware 2.0.  Under the router > status reads as follows:

    Capture (share.field_33_UI_share) Firmware Version: 2.00.4 build 7, January 20, 2010

I am very confused. Which is the latest firmware or I get it confused with the 4.3 version number?

I really hesitate to update the firmware again after the problems I had the first time.  If anyone can give me some advice on what to do, I would really appreciate it.

You confuse the hardware version of the router with the version of the firmware.

The BEFSR41 is the model. One physical versions of this model. Each version contains a different material. The exact hardware version is printed on the label under the router.

The firmware version is the version of the firmware (software) running on the router. It is important that the firmware used is compatible with the hardware version of the router. For this reason, you must select the correct hardware on the router Linksys support download site version to be sure to choose the right firmware compatible with your router.

The latest version of the firmware of the BEFSR41 v4.3 is Ver.2.00.4 Build 7. You have the latest firmware.

  • After 32RL933 the firmware update won't start no - green LED lights

After an update of the firmware via wifi and use the TV for a few hours, when I changed the Source, the TV goes black and reboot, right now the TV is always black, green LED flashing and the screen turns black.

I think it's a firmware issue, I tried to pull the plug and put back in operation and does not. I have donwloaded a rl933_748304.bin firmware on the site, loaded onto usb and plugged into the TV and does not work, so I think I need a "auto-install" firmware that runs at the start of the TV instead a normal firmware.

I've read that a lot of people have this problem, I hope that you could give me support.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.

    Try this:
Turning the TV off. Wait 30 seconds, then press power button.
Then OFF it again. Unplug the power cable and LAN cable.
Reconnect the cable LAN and power ON the TV.
    Now reset the TV.
GO to the system configuration menu, select TV point Reset and press OK to select.

  • I have to frequently restart WRT54G to re-establish the connection

I've had my WRT54G for about 3 years now. It is connected to my cable modem and my desktop PC running Windows XP.

I use the wireless router to connect my laptop and my roommate to sound (both running Windows XP).

I'm encounteringa problem of not being able to get on the Internet. My laptop says that I'm connected to my wireless network, but still no Internet. I also had the same problem (no Internet) with the desktop PC.

I end up having to do is restart my wireless router and that immediately solved the problem. I am then back up on the Internet.

This happens at least once a day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day I have to do this. It is very annoying, not being able to depend on my Internet connectability. Sometimes I can get right away, other times I do the router restarts.

This is especially a problem when I'm not home and my roommate can't get online (it's all in my locked room).

I went through the process of resetting the configuration of my WRT54G so reinstall completely altogether. Yet, this problem happens again.

    Please notify.

I think that you need to update / re Flash the firmware of the router.

  • The update of the firmware on Dell KVM 2162DS

I know it's probably very easy... but I did a little research and I can't find instructions on how to Flash the firmware on a Dell KVM? I can't see the option via the Web Interface on the KVM.

I downloaded the firmware but it contains no instructions & I couldn't find info with a Google or Dell Forum search - so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

    Thank you
    Dan

    Hey Dan,

I had some success, the two KVMs now updated.  However, I've updated via the digital 1.6.20 not the analog 1.6.3.  So make sure you have the correct version, such as digital is actually part of Racks from the list.

Connected to the hotspot of the phone and downloaded the http://www.netgear.com/product/dgnd3700v2firmware. Disconnected. IMG selected and extracted zip file. Transferred to the router. Web GUI appeared with all previous settings preserved. Phone line reconnected, tested, and applied Internet settings. Fact. I hope this helps.

  • How much time it take the firmware upgrade procedure?

    Hello

I ReadyNas 204 and I'm away from the SIN it free and I wanted to install the 6.5.0 version of the firmware via the admin interface... I'm not sure how much time should I take, it is already underway for 40 minutes... is this normal?

    Sorry for the dummy question!

    Thank you

Problem is solved. Sent someone back home to check and it seemed that the NAS could not obtain an IP address after you restart. Disconnect the RJ-45 and connected back solved the problem. NAS is back online, but would it be a bug in 6.5.0 or is it just with my camera? Nothing in the newspapers that I could see... just could not obtain an IP address...

the NAS drive is configured with a static IPv4 address and IPv6 is disabled. If that helps.

    Hi @bemused59,

The message on the "Home" of the NETGEAR engineering page indicates that the device you are using does not have a wireless adapter, or you turn off / disabled. If you are using a laptop, it is possible that there a physical wireless switch that must be turned on and off. I recommend the manual for it.

  • M880Z +: restoring the firmware is possible?

One of my technicians is stuck on a problem.  Another technology came out of his area assigned and thought he was helping to Flash the firmware on a dozen M880Z + while production lines have fallen for the reengineering.

A particular M880 has been updated to the version of the firmware 3.7.01.  This version is fighting industrial equipment that is connected to print production reports and build sheets.  I can't find anything that says that the update of the firmware is irreversible, but this one seems to be.

Nobody knows... Replaces the SSD enough or willingness to swap the trainer, too?   Is there a way to roll back the firmware without hardware replacement?

You can do a full clean on the hard drive that will scan all the firmware and then he reloaded from a USB key.

You might also be able to restore the firmware for the built-in web server, I have to look to see if it could be done.

If you are still problems next week I'll be in an office with a m880z and I can then watch the built-in web server.

  • Solution for nasal sound choppy after updating the firmware of the player combo cdrw/dvd TS-L462C

Hello you all frustrated users Dell! : manhappy:

Before I post my solution, here's what happened to me...

Towards the end of November ' 07, I decided to update all my drivers for my Inspiron B130 running Windows XP sp2, including the firmware for the TS-L462C 24 x CD-RW/dvd combo drive.

In the next few days to update, I noticed that my audio started his jerky / stutter any kind of program that I used to listen to, unless you use the CD player.

I came to Dell and started browsing these forums for a solution, given that my warranty was expired, and only Dell was to restore the original configuration, that was not a very practical solution with all the unwanted 'important' that I have accumulated in two years.

I've tried everything by many users with the same annoying problem recommended here (update of Bios, drivers roll back, etc.).

The only thing that worked was to keep a CD in the drive at all times, which as we know, is not a permanent solution, but is favorite Microsoft term... workaround.

What I finally discovered that was the update of the firmware Dell 'bad' DE07... why they don't check these things?

The solution I finally found, after months of this and other forums, research is to restore firmware DE07 DE05.

That at first, does not seem that easy because the DE05 flashes the firmware from a boot disk and my B130 came with a floppy drive.

So here's how I did it...

    1. If you haven't already, you will need the DE07 utility that comes with the upgrade.

Get it here... TS-L462C DE07 firmware

Follow the instructions to download and unzip, but do not install... we just need the windows Flash utility.

    2. download and unzip the DE05 firmware.

Get it here... TS-L462C DE05 firmware

Note the location of this folder, because we need the .bin for sync this folder file.

    Mine unzipped here... C:\dell\drivers\R114334

    3. now open (double click) on the update of the firmware DE07 called SFDNWIN.exe

and follow the instructions to update...

    a. click on the download file ' open' button to the left.

    b. do not click on the DE07_060525.bin, but instead, navigate to the folder that has the DE05.bin, who, in mine, is located at C:\dell\drivers\R114334, to select. Click on 'open '.

    c. click on the "Start download" button in the middle.

    d. click "Restart Windows".

    e. system will restart after the flash is complete.

I hope this has been helpful and not too complicated, but it worked wonderfully for me!

    : manvery-happy:

    Good luck

  • Update the Firmware Officejet 7310?

Like my Officejet 7310 and recently took a used for children.

The network shows Configuration Page printing "Firmware revision: RL7001xNx" on the unit used while my original unit shows "Firmware revision: RL9002xNx '"»

Is there a way to update the Firmware of the unit used for the RL9002xNx version?

I'm not finding a way to update the Firmware via the Sites from HP Support...

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

My PC is always Windows XP SP3 but I added three laptop computers for the children and women who have Windows 7 and I had all the HP7310 installation problems or the center of HP solutions on their machines.  Make sure you get the Windows 7 "32 or 64 bit" depending on your system).

My initial concern about requiring the update of the Firmware has actually been resolved, I think.

Printer was running very slow and hesitant, I thought could have been due to Firmware.

Found on another blog the suggestion to clean the sensor 'media' (red laser on the side of the cartridge carriage).  It worked and I'm very happy with the results!

  • How do I know the hardware version WRT54G to only the firmware version and date

Hi - on a Linksys WRT54G, serial numbers and the version number have
been worn except in the case of the unit, so I don't know what version it is. He has since been released in it's 'safe place' to which I don't have physical access (and yet they want me to admin it). Don't think that I even get cable connect, wireless only. Gee. In any case... of the configuration screens I see:

The current version of the firmware is 1.00.6 January 20, 2006.
I could, I guess that to get the MAC address

The default login and password are what is active.

Can you tell what version of the material is, so that I can download the
    good firmware flash update?
    Thank you

The best way is to check the hardware, but as you mentioned, it is not an option. I suggest that you check each firmware release notes, check the previous firmware versions and dates on each version of the output material. However, it may be tedious.

  • Problem the firmware upgrade failed WRT54G v8.2

Today I tried to upgrade my WRT54G Router v8.2 for the latest Linksys firmware. But the upgrade was repeated each time when the progress bar reaches about 75%. It lasted more than 30 minutes and I had stopped the upgrade. Then the router has stopped working. I have reset and hard reset the router. I also tried the method of tftp to upgrade the firmware again. But the problem is still there. When I ping 192.168.1.1, I always get the message "Destination host unreachable". Could someone help me solve this problem? The power and light of the ethernet port light are always on. Is it possible to solve the problem? Any information is appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do not use the wireless computer to update the firmware. Hard-reset the router for 1 minute and try this link and check if it works...
