  Hello, I downloaded the HP Wireless Assistant you posted, and when I go to run it I get this message "this version of HP Wireless Assistant is not supported on this model. I also entered my Services and have started and that the startup type for Wired AutoConfig and WLAN autoconfiguration service is set to automatic. When I go in Control Panel-> Internet-> manage wireless networks and network I click on 'Add' and then a box appears and I click on manually create a network profile and then this is what happens.   I solved the problem. I went into the bios and seems that my wireless card is a Broadcom as the FCC ID presented themselves as QDS-BRCM1050... that Google identified as a Broadcom BCM94313HMG2L. However, HP does not have the correct drivers for this card on the site. Here is the link for the correct driver http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...s&lc=en&dlc=en. I also installed the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver and now my wireless works perfectly.

• Cannot remove the unwanted Internet connection

  I have a few days ago, I had to disable my internet to install something. When I tried to reconnect my internet I couldn't, later I found out that I turned off my LAN cable to connect my computer to the modem. Its all working now, but I have 1 question.

  When I tried to reconnect my internet (until I discovered my problem) I made an another network Internet connection to see if it resolves the problem. It didn't and now I can't delete it, and I think that's casuing some problems with my computer, thinking its connected to the internet and also not connected to the internet.

  Yes it's a kind of a clean install, not the type I'd do, but you don't listen to what I said earlier about the differences between virtual equipment of the differences between the two different operating systems.  In any case, information related to my first answer covering only the network problem so do as you wish.   Also, I can't directly answer how to create installation as I previous comments made referring to the only way that I have personally installed Windows 8... so Google is your friend on how to create a Setup program if previously linked information is not sufficient.

• Satellite M40X-149: cannot use WLAN to internet connection

  Hi, does anyone have an idea why I can only connect to the internet using my ethernet cable and not the built in wirelless ability of this laptop? If I check the status on the connections Ethernet network that I still have packages sent and received, when I try the road wirless I get only packets sent and received zero. My other laptops do not have the same problem with the same router in the same room.

  I put t know if the BIOS update would solve this problem. I found information on a similar issue. In this case the last display driver (Version 71,90 or higher number) will correct this problem.

• OfficeJet 6700: Utilities for HP unable to detect internet connection

  My Windows XP is often connected to my Windows 7 in a LAN network two computers [no router involved] or the Ad Hoc WiFi connection.  Internet connection sharing is off in Windows 7 so that Windows XP can not connect via the internet.

  Currently, I disconnect the two computers when the Windows 7 to go on internet.  Am I being too conservative?  Could I just leave the two computers when Windows 7 is on the internet, given that ICS is off?

  From my experience, Win7 will always choose to connect wirelessly, even if both are available.  It's because this is the default setting.  You can choose your own preference.

  Click on advanced and advanced settings

  Here you see the priority for which the network is chosen first.  Change by using the arrows.

  You can use what you want, there is no such limitation. However when you go to cloud service based like loading or sync files to your cloud storage, you need an active Internet connection.

• Fusion "Unresponsive" at startup without Internet connection

  Anyone got any ideas on why VMware Fusion on my Mac crashes completely on the application startup when I don't have an active Internet connection? He performs a kind of 'phone home' or the verification of updates that is the cause to enter a suspended state until eventually it times out?

The software has been successfully installed and activated, however, an update for Windows began activation of Adobe Acrobat and put it in a trial mode. I have only 1 more day until the software crashes. Phone support would be nice Adobe! When this customer is forced to upgrade it drives me crazy! Unexpected expenses, the time for installation, the time to learn a new product, and invariably you change numbers on me that didn't help things.

  Acrobat 8 is no longer supported, is not compatible with Windows 10.
