• Satellite L955 - 10K - Synaptics Touchpad Driver is not working properly

  I had a problem with my driver for the Synaptics touchpad yesterday. I'm very used to use the "gestures" to work with my touchpad and the gestures did not work properly (in fact at all) for a while. Scrolling with two fingers, three fingers touch and others (in fact all the gestures) no longer work.

  An interesting thing I noticed though, is the fact that when I back the driver (in the settings to properties then Hardware) gestures do FINE.   To be honest I don't understand what the problem is here. I also thought that the new driver installation can help but obviously it didn't help much.

  I don't know if this is an option for you, but you can set laptop to factory again and I hope that everything will work properly again. Before doing this test also to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore option.

  One last thing: it has nothing to do with your touchpad problem, but I recommend you create a recovery (recovery backup image) using pre-installed recovery media creator media.
