WWAN Option (43R9153): Installation, WLAN
I bought the WWAN option for my T400 (2765 - 22G). Now I'm confused and have two questions:
-When I install the WWAN option, I need to remove the already installed module. It seems to be the WLAN module.
I lost the WLAN connectivity? Or the WWAN also includes WLAN?
-The installed module has 3 connectors, left, middle, right.
But the WWAN option has only two connectors. What happens with the third wire (gray)?
Thank you
Eric
Eric, welcome to the forum,
I'm not sure you are looking in the right place. The wlan card is towards the back of your system and nees cables of 3 antennas. The wan cardshould be installed on the left side below meets the palmrest and keyboard. There is a free slot and two cables if your system is extensible. See the installation / removal instructions.
Hope this helps

P50 and WWAN option - upgrade/availability
Just to clarify, someone can confirm:
- Can the currently available P50 that has no option for WWAN be upgraded at a later date, that it is WWAN ready and just need a card, or the current P50 will not support WWAN and cannot be upgraded.
- Also, if expandable there must already be a slot for the SIMM card, is there a?
- It has been suggested that the WWAN option will be available in April, can someone confirm this?
Thank you very much

Hi all
I have an x 200 tablet which is "extensible" for his WWAN option. I want to use the machine internationally with a variety of groups and am interested in Qualcomm GOBI solutions. My questions:
(1) is the default map of 1000 GOBI (57Y4485 here), my only option? The new maps of GOBI 2000, being much richer in features and compatibility (such as 78Y1399, here) are supposed to work with x100e / x * 10 series, but features the same connectors. Can someone check to see that it actually works/doesn't? It's the BIOS the most recent map of locking out on x 200, x200t, T400, other latest generation Thinkpads?
(2) the question of whether I get the desert of GOBI 1000 or 2000, I was able to use WWAN with suppliers other than Verizon / AT & T? The maps, although it is near - universally compatible with standard GOBI desert, are locked to these two providers? It will be very useful if I can make sure that the function can actually be used when abroad.
Thank you very much!
For the X 200 tablet, map of 1000 GOBI is the quialified.
Map of GOBI is not locked in and of itself to a provider. By default, it will connect to Verizon. By adding a SIM card, you can connect to that provider by choosing the international connection. In terms of suppliers non - SIM as Sprint, I have not any advice.

X 1 carbon (contactless) WWAN option
I recently tried to buy a carbon X 1 with WWAN found but the option isn't there anymore on the web.
Could someone Lenovo please help me find:
- If and how I can order a custom with the WWAN capability?
- Is this temporary or X 1 carbon WWAN is interrupted? Alternatively, put in other words, should I wait for / to expect the possibility of re - emerge if I can't do it today?
Hi bessel and welcome to the Lenovo user community!
Suggestions:
- Lenovo and ask. Sometimes sellers you can get things that are not in the online store.
- Choose a standard personal systems reference model and are looking for a supplier with it in stock.
I hope this helps!

I uninstalled the printer driver using "Control Panel configuration/programs/programs and features/uninstall a program" (because I have a new router so need to specify new SSID).
Then I tried to re - install the printer driver using the installation CD.
I inserted the CD, I had small window saying "press to select what is happening with this record."
After I clicked on I got more options - 1 options has been "run SETUP.exe.
I clicked on this & got a new window that says "Select install to begin the installation of your new HP device" but there was only 1 option - EXIT - no other & no list downdown.
I think there must be software always on my PC this CD think that I already have the installed printer driver.
I checked my list of printers & printer inside. I checked my Downloads folder & no priniter files it contains.
Help, please! Thank you.
Hello
The CD is not intended for your operating system, therefore, this behavior occurs.

Lack of option "Native Installer" Export Release Build for AIR application
I was wondering if anyone else has to face it. Regardless of the type of soft AIR that I work on all I get is the export to the file option. I'm updating with AIR 2.5 SDK Flex 4.1 SDK on a current install of Vista 64.
You need to update Flash Builder 4.0.1 for the native installer option in the export Release Build.
Your newspaper seems to indicate that you are on Flash Builder 4.0 (just using the SDK 4.1 won't, you must upgrade the builder himself for this).

Satellite C660 PSC0LE - activate the option "Wake on WLan?
Hi all
First time poster here.
Have had my Toshiba C660 PSC0LE-00500JEN now for the best part of 18 months and are now looking to extend its capabilities.
I don't really have a LAN at home, but have a WLAN, so I'm looking to implement "Wake on Wireless Lan.
I have the "Realtek PCIe FE - RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n adapter, and when I looked at parameters, the box for him allow to"allow this device to wake the computer from sleep mode"seems to have been intoxicated.I'm looking to see if this adapter will allow the laptop to wake from its slumber, or if it cannot be done on the LAN cable...
Thank you
Hello
I think that's not possible.
As far as I know in the BIOS Wake Up on WLan is not taken in charge and wifi only works if the system has been started. -
X 301: Intel 5300 &; Broadband WWAN Option card
I just got my X 301, which came with an Intel 5300 wireless card, and I went to install the AT & T 3 G Broadband Option currently for sale in the accessory store. So, turns, the 5300 is a large-format mini PCI-Express card... So the card 3G. Yet, as far as I know, I can plug a normal map, and I guess the other location is a half size card. It is behind the door of memory. What is the best course of action I can take?
Hi CryptoQuick and welcome to the Lenovo user community!
There is a full slot wide under the keyboard. That's where it belongs. There are a few nice movies showing how to install and other parts. Half size slot is for Turbo Memory or Wireless USB.

As shown in my X 1 is a model 3444 do not have in front of me to the final sequence of the model number. There the 3667U i7 with the 256 GB SSD. Can I install a WWAN card in this model to allow Mobile broadband through my operator ATT?
http://support.Lenovo.com/en_AU/
Enter the full model number in the QUICK ACCESS path, that will tell if you machine is expandable WWAN or not. If this is the case, then you have the 2 WWAN antenna and all you need is to do is to get the correct WWAN card.
http://support.Lenovo.com/en_AU/product-and-parts/detail.page?&docid=PD025329
This parts list you the required number of part of the WWAN card, you can get the part with parts of IBM. Don't forget the ThinkPad X carbon 1 and carbon Touch uses a non-standard mPCIe WWAN card.
If your machine is not extensible WWAN, this means that you are missing the WWAN antenna. You can get and install it yourself, but requires disassembly of the LCD too, which can cause damage to the machine and is not recommended (warranty does not cover these services free and damage).
If you are convinced that you are skilled enough to do the update of the WWAN card, you can study the HMM, that shows you all that to do the upgrade.

Player and eventual installation option?
I have an application that creates PDF files to e-mail. Lately, he has failed. When I asked the manufacturer of the software, that they said that player 7 + had an option to installation of 'Create '. PDF file' during the installation that needs to be uninstalled so that it works. Since 8 there has been no real options I know during installation and just confirmed today the 9 that I have nothing to choose. Everyone knows this option? What they're talking about?
-Mac
They are wrong. Reader could never create PDFs. Only the commercial Acrobat can create PDF files.

Hi people,
I have a Thinkpad T500 (2081-CTO) with the internal AT & T WWAN adapter. The first thing I did when I got it was to wipe the drive and install Windows 7. Now I'm wishing, I had paid a little more attention to the WWAN options. I seem to remember he had an offer to get an activation period free trial 30 days the WWAN SIM which is installed in my computer. Someone knows how can I do this or will it charge the system of my backup media? Also, if someone could give me a crash course as to how works the WWAN connection in general I would appreciate it - I have never used before. How I activate it and once I have I don't, it appears just like another network (such as a LAN port) connection or something? I'm having a remarkably difficult to find documentation about it.
Thanks again!
Hi commie64,
The WWAN connection is a dial-up. Here are the instructions AT & T on how to set manually in Windows 7. You can also use utility from the manufacturer of the card WWAN, AT & T Connection Manager or Lenovo ThinkVantage Access Connections. Everyone wants a piece of your card top debit MOBILE!
Installation of your software factory probably included a small application to activate the SIM card and start the 30-day trial (have a backup?). You may be able to get AT & T to honor the trial without the application. Start on their page of Lenovo here.
