WXP on Satellite A200 - 1 M 7 - now I have 4 unknown devices

Hello!

I had problems installing Windows XP SP2 home edition on my Satellite A200 - 1 M 7.
Vista comes with this laptop, but I decided to go back to the roots.
Downloaded all the drivers available for this model and install.

Now, I have 4 unknown devices in the hardware monitor.
I guess I know what it is because I still don't see things working:
1. audio card: update done BIOS, installed kb888111 and kb835221 and sound driver. No change.
2 Bluetooth monitor: installed the driver but also no change.
3. WiFi: the same thing, I can see the window manager of Atheros Wi - Fi, but it does not work (I am sure about that because I have another laptop nearby, and he sees my Wi - Fi router).

Does anyone have these problems and how to solve it?

Very simple procedure ;)

The Satellite A200 - 1 M 7 seems to belong to the series PSAE3E and you should switch in this series to download all the drivers from Toshiba.

Before you install the try XP updated the BIOS to the XP version (at this time v.5.30 - victory)
Then check install Instructions txt file and install all THE drivers Toshiba and tool using the order mentioned in the present document.

Please note that Windows XP should be updated to the State and several important fixes must be installed directly on the Microsoft site.
So I would recommend checking the MS Update site and install every difficulty.

By the way;
Bluetooth monitor is not the installation of the driver the driver Portal Toshiba BT BT:

All Wlan driver can b found here:

Driver Sound is also located here:

Best regards and happy new year

    Please check this HowTo.

To my knowledge, the 8086 Dev_ID belongs to Intel
So there must some Intel driver.

  • Installing WXP on Satellite A200 - 1P8

    Hi all

I am trying to install Windows XP Home edition on my new Satellite A200 1P8
But my hard drive is not recognized, now I looked on the internet and I have no Intel Storage Manager but I need drivers now for my Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00 (82801 HBM / HEM ICM8-M) so, where I can find these?

    Thank you very much

I have an external floppy drive that works.

    Hello

The Intel matrix storage manager contains the SATA driver that is needed to recognize the HARD drive and install XP on your laptop.
You can use the external floppy drive floppy to include the SATA driver in the program XP installation, or you can create your own XP CD which includes the Intel Matrix Storage Manager too.

I had some problems using the external floppy drive too and that's why I chose the second option. I used nLite freeware program to create an own XP CD with SATA drivers. It s really great. You must test it too.

I think this could help you.

    Good bye

    Hello

You have any specific questions? How we can help you?

  • Satellite A100-784 (PAAANE) could not find XP drivers - unknown devices

    Please, I need your help.

I bought 4 days ago, that a laptop Toshiba, detailed spec is attached (Satellite A100-768, dual core) and with it the Vista system with directx 10. I was not satisfied of how things work on this system (there is no game that worked on this NFS3, NF CARBON, ST LEGACY) so I decided to reinstall the system and put XPSP2, and I did.

Now, I was aware that I need to find drivers, so I looked on the site, and I have not found an exact match with the model, so I download drivers for the Satellite A100-S8111TD (American toshiba site) but only for sound, blue tooth, hotkey, utilities, and so, but only for the wireless driver I don't have (50megs Hugh via modem 50 kbit / s).

Also, I downloaded the Intel drivers for the motherboard and card graphics, and everything works fine, BUT!
One of the problems out, driver for sound card does not work - installation of the driver is fine, but it does not start.

In Device Manager, there are 3 question mark and the other! brand of sound card, that it is said that cannot start, code 10.
    3? the brands are for the network adapter, Ethernet, mass storage<- what="" drivers="" that="" i="" need="" to="" download="" to="" get="" reed="" off="">

One of the drivers that I downloaded did something in the command prompt window, and I suspect that he flashed the BIOS and now I have error of TPM. This module of TPM, I found in the Security tab in the Bios, but I can't change, it wouldn't let me.
And yet one thing, again, no game wouldn't start, what's happening

Please, give me advice, I'm desperate

    Thank you for your comments.
    Keep in touch.

I could send a picture of a problem to any mail if necessary

    Hello

First of all, you can also try to download the drivers of Toshiba Europe page.
There are also various series A100 XP drivers.

In any case, I guess the sound does not work because the wrong driver XP has been installed.
Different series A100 supports different sound cards.

As far as I know that your device A100-784 supports the audio Realtek ALC 861 HD sound card.
That's why you use the Realtek driver.

The phone also supports a code name of the PM Express Chipset Intel 945 CalistogaPM + ICH7-M. I recommend you to install the Intel chipset diver. You can find it on the Intel page.

Question marks appear in Device Manager, because you need compatible drivers!
I guess you need the driver for LAN and WLan card.

The laptop uses Intel 82562GZ (Ekron) LAN card and, therefore, you need to find the driver that support this chip!
I'm not sure on the map of Wi-Fi but it seems that it s an Atheros WLan card.

Like I said above try the drivers from different series A100 and goggle more for 3 third-party drivers.

    Good luck

    Hello community,

I reinstalled my Satellite C850D - 12U PSCC2E and now I have an unknown device.
    Hardware ID: ACPI\VEN_TOS & DEV_6205

I did some general research on the internet and it seems that it is to do with Bluetooth.

I installed the driver on the Toshiba site, unfortunately the problem is not resolved.

Do you have some ideas what happened?

SRY for my bad English ;-)

    Greetings mounisport

According to specification for laptop, that your laptop comes with Win8 OS 64-bit so you have reinstalled original recovery image and use laptop with factory settings now?

Notebook with factory settings should not have these problems so I put t understand why you have this problem.

Can you please send more info on this unknown device?

  • Satellite Pro U300 - 2 unknown devices in XP Device Manager

Just installed XP on a U300, I downloaded all the drivers from the Web site.
Now I have 2 unknown devices! Any ideas of what it could be?

    Thank you.

One could be the unknown PCI memory manager.
This PCI memory controller is Intel Turbo Memory, also called logic chip cache Flash Intel.
It is a new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
There is no driver for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the cache feature. Vista only supports this!

I don't know what could be the other unknown device. Check just what features don't run and you'll know what it is!

  • Satellite A200 - 1 GB WXP - unknown PCI memory manager

After downloading all the drivers for windows xp on the Toshiba site, I installed it and now the problem: all the material r ok, but I have an unknown device-> PCI memory manager in Device Manager.

    Anyone? I need help...

Someone here in the forum suggested that the controller memory PCI is Intel Turbo Memory, also called Intel Flash cache logic chip also called device Robson.
It's quite new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
There is not driver for it for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the function of cache, it is supported by Vista.

  • Satellite A200 - question format HARD drive after replacing

    Hello

I know this is probably a stupid question to ask as I am not that great with computers.
I have problems with my hard drive from my Toshiba Satellite A200 laptop.

Now, when I took it out it was a 120 GB so I bought another Seagate 320 GB hard drive to replace it.
Now can I just put it back in or do I have to format the known brand hard drive.

So if anyone can help it would be much appreciated

    Thank you

    Hello

New HARD drive should be recognized by the laptop properly.
If you purchased a HARD drive 2.5 SATA, so I put t see serious reasons why this HARD drive is not working.

Once the HARD drive has been replaced, boot from the Toshiba Recovery disk and follow the instructions on the screen. The HARD drive must be formatted during the installation procedure
    That article should work

  • Re: Screen dead on my Satellite A200-27U goed

Intermittent (and frustrating!) problem with my new laptop Satellite A200-27U. Every now and then the screen turns white and the only way to return to work is power off (and the battery) before turning on again.
This problem may occur twice in the space of an hour, or not at all for a day!

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I assumed that the screen remains empty after that laptop computer went into sleep mode or displays have disappeared because of the power settings.
Well, I read about it in the various threads and everybody says that the BIOS update should help resolve this annoying problem.

So I would recommend visiting the European driver of Toshiba page, to download the good BIOS and then to perform the BIOS update.

    Good luck
