X0X31EA: new system unknown by HP?

X0X31EA (870-055ND)

(1) where can I find the manual to user/service for this system?      (2) the procedure for backup/save the restore partition?

Hello

HP has not yet any documentation available for this PC online.

There is no complete user manual. You have to hunt the online resources of HP for stuff.

There is no backup created process to preserve the recovery partition. You can create the recovery partition recovery media. You can use the recovery to reimage the system partition.

Please see thisHP Supportdocument on how to create a set of recovery discs or a USB stick recovery.

You can use third-party backup software such as Acronis, Paragon Macrium. You can also use the Windows backup built into the operating system software and create a recovery drive.

See you soon!

  • My mail is migrated to a new system, server and they have adopted Microsoft Outlook which is terrible. I use Thunderbird for 20 years and loved.

When my main mail server migrated to a new system, they used Microsoft Outlook to organize my email. I used it for almost 2 months and it's awful. I would like to restore my old Thunderbird program. It seems to be working: I get the number of messages in my Inbox on the Thunderbird icon and an audio invites all new messages are received. The only problem is that I can't get in my mail because Thunderbird will accept none of the passwords that I offer (I only have three). Can someone please fix it so I can reset my password or have Thunderbird recognize one of my passwords? The main server wants to open a new account in Thunderbird, but it means that I lose all the data from the old account.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • I lost all the files in the Inbox 2 times. On a new system with Win 8.1

At startup, the system goes into "repair disk" for a few minutes then start normally.
The only thing that seems to be missing is files in thunderbird Inbox.
The system is a k450e from Lenovo. It happened first in September about 3 weeks after
migration of e-mail to the new system. Then happened again today. (11/7) Lenovo tech
support has been no help. They suggested to reinstall thunderbird. They thought that

I'm under the last worm (31.2.0). I have 3 email accounts set up. Yesterday, I delete a lot of files in the Inbox on one of ID. In both cases, the active 2 accounts inboxes have been lost. • How can I migrate my old synchronization data to the new system when I signed in devices

I just reformat the hard drive of my computer and reinstalled Windows and Linux. Now that I have installed and updated, Firefox wonder to migrate to the new synchronization system they have. Problem is, I still want to be able to connect to the old system just to be able to get my favorites so I can migrate to the new system.

I always sync my key and the connection information for the old system, but I just want to know how to access it once for the information available to me. I can handle everything from there.

Hello, in this case you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the previous firefox version, disable the automatic update for the moment (in options > advanced > update), bind it to the old account synchronization and upgrade after you successfully restore your data in this way...

Install an older version of Firefox

  • How to share tabs between my various Firefox installations using the new system of accounts of Firefox?

I use Firefox Nightly (2014-02-18, 30.a1, x 64) on my laptop (Windows Pro 8.1 x 64) and I was using Firefox Beta on my Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.2). Recently, Mozilla announced the new system of accounts of Firefox (which replaces the old Firefox Sync account) and I created an account of Firefox for my computer laptop installation every night. Because the new account in Firefox does not work with the old Firefox Sync account, I replaced my installation Android of the beta version of Firefox with Firefox Nightly and signed account Firefox on my Android. However, when I try to send a tab of my Android installation to my installation of laptop using intend to 'Share for every night', every night asking me to implement a sync account, which is impossible to fill in my computer laptop system every night. I tried to replace my Android installation every night with an Android Aurora facility, but the same problem occurs.

What's worse, is that even with my laptop and Android facilities signed on the same account in Firefox, I'm not all information is synchronized between 2 facilities. No story is shared, and I don't see the list of tabs opened from the other device. I can't move tabs between my phone and my laptop, which is something I've used every week I visited websites and read that my RSS FEED on my phone. Does anyone know how to share tabs using Firefox's new accounts? Does anyone know why Firefox accounts doesn't seem to be synchronization of data between my 2 installations?

    Hi gfactor:

An update on this issue. I think that this (965811) was fixed in Firefox Beta 29.

Please try beta if you have some time (just search for Firefox Beta on the google play and then install firefox beta) and let us know if Firefox 29 beta sendtab now works for you.

  • Need to transfer/copy Firefox Bookmarks from HD Vista Win7 new system.

My Vista system motherboard is dead, so bought the new Windows 7 system and have old Vista drive works as second data drive. When you install Windows 7, installed Firefox 4.0 (had 3. XX on Vista). I want to copy my favorites to the new system.
    How can I do this?
Thank you for your time and your help.

You must copy a file called places.sqlite in your old folder of profile to your current profile folder. (Firefox stores the user data in the profile folder)

For more information on how to find the profile folder, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

If you want you can copy more than just bookmarks, for details, see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile

  • Hard drive to new system transfer

I just bought a HP Envy 700-074. I liked all the specs on this machine, including the extra hard drive Bay.

I want to transfer a disk 1 TB of data from my old Dell running Windows 7 x 64 to the new system. Y at - there will be problems, or the HP will pick up the drive right?

    TIA

    Clay

    Hi clay,

It all depends on as they say.

If the hard drive is SATA and was not in a RAID or used with bitlocker, then you should be OK for using the drive as a hard drive only data.  There may be exceptions because some SATA I hard drives might not work on a port SATA III. In this case, an external USB box could make the drive usable.

  • ScanJet 4570c driver - switch from old Win 7 system to the new system of Win 7

My scanjet 4570c works fine on my old Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system.  How can I move the driver for my new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system?  The new system does not recognize the scanner.

A solution has been found for my 4570c using Windows 7 on a new system, as suggested in a post dated 09/01/2010"Re: 4850 HP Scanjet Windows 7 drivers, which is still not available. -FIXED ".

    1. I downloaded the driver for the 4570c by selecting the 64-bit version of VISTA.

    2. on the desktop, right-click on the file and then click Properties.

    3. click on the compatibility mode.   Give the check mark for "run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Vista.
    4. click on apply and then OK.

5 install.  It works for me for the simple scans

  • We have installed Office 2010 on a system that died & want to move the software for my new system. How to reactivate my product key Code

We have installed Office 2010 on a system that died & want to move the software for my new system.  How to reactivate my product key Code

Assuming that you had bought a copy of the sale at retail of Office 2010 (i.e., it not was not preinstalled by the manufacturer of the computer or downloaded and installed using a "product key card"), just install it on the new system and turn on normally.  In some cases, you may use telephone activation and explain the circumstances (i.e., the old computer is dead).

Microsoft Office is not a step "off authorizes" as some other apps (Adobe comes to mind).

  • I'll be able to move my copy of Windows XP from my old to my new system?

I had bought Windows XP Pro CD 5 years back. now, the hard disk on which it has been installed is burned because of electrical problems.

I bought a cd Windows XP Pro 5 years back. now, the hard disk on which it has been installed is burned because of electrical problems. Consequetly, I decided to upgrade to the full system with a new hard drive. The point is xp will activate on the new system? If this is not the case, then what I have to do? Did microsoft give me new key? I have all the invoice documents, product key, the original cd

original title: xp will activate on the new system?

If everything you change is the hard drive, you should have no problem of reactivation of the new facility.

If your 'upgrade' includes a new motherboard, and then it depends if the XP you bought is a detail, an or an OEM one – if the retail trade, you may simply need to activate by phone.

If the XP license you purchased is OEM, you cannot transfer it to a new motherboard except under the conditions of warranty replacement.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

Could you confirm the operating system?

  • move current xp to the new system

I have thinkcare from ibm with xp - pro, now I want to update my system with hig configaration, can I use ibm xp to new system

I am assuming that you want to update your copy of Windows XP to Windows 7 and use higher configuration. In this case, try to run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor first to check if your computer is able to handle Windows 7, you can see the link below:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=20

You can also check below for the system requirements for Windows 7.

    * Please note that Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer sold and distributed by MIcrosoft.

  • I want to change my system. How can I transfer windows & other software in the new system of old?

I need to change my system & the procedure required to transfer my software registered in the new system

    Hello mohan,.

You cannot transfer windows & other software in the new system of old...

In my view, it is possible to copy some software only...

If you want your old software listed, I think that it is preferable to use to use your old hard drive in your new system... If you need more space, you can also lly add another hard drive to your new system...
