  This topic has been discuss before, and it is current (I have search the Forum re: my problem & no resolution provided therefore my created topic).

  I recently acquired 11 x T430 + 11 x card Ericsson F5521gw WWAN. (Fortunately, I ordered 11 unit only).

  Before, I order more... I need your help and the wizard repair my "1802: unauthorized network card is plugged in - power off and remove the miniPCI network card (0BDB/1911) system is stopped. (error code 1802: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and-fix/detail.page?DocID=HT001309)

  Any suggestion and advice would be greatly appreciated, other then re-writing/or modding the BIOS...

• Portege R830 - 3G fails to initialize after returning from hibetnation

  I have had a Toshiba R830 for almost two years now and I love it. Even more after a few months at the time I discovered, he had 3G capacity.
  At first (with the original drivers) the capacity of the 3G does that 2 times on 3.
  Other times he would be stuck "initialization".

  I found and downloaded the latest drivers (as far as I could find) of this site and the problem is * mainly * gone but it's a pain when it happens.

  The only way I can get the modem working again is to a full reboot.
  I think it happens if I disconnect the session 3G until I put into hibernation the R830.

  I have no experience in using 3G after the laptop wakes up from hibernation mode, but in my opinion a good idea to close the connection before going into hibernation mode.
  Should test this several times in the line to check if it s the solution.

  The only compatible guaranteed WWAN card is the card of EV-DO/HSDPA Mobile Broadband Module integrated HP un2400.

  This is a laptop more old (circa 2009) in order to find a 3G\4G card that is compatible with it is going to be quite difficult. You can check the improvements updated BIOS to see if the compatibility has been added for other WWAN cards.

  Update: I checked the BIOS improvements and the only thing that has been added in terms of compatibility upgrade is compatibility of SSDS. Additional compatibility with WWAN cards was not an improvement that has been added.  If the answer is that you can very well be out of luck on 3G\4G WWAN cards.

  I think that the error is related to a dialog box. When I run manually a popup window appears: "Restart Notification", even if in my command, I put "noreboot".

  OK, I found a quick solution all by myself

  Her bloody Ericsson F5521gw wireless WAN driver was set to "reboot Forces." (reboot type1). I changed this type 3 and everything was good. It now works. I hope that this pilot will settle in any case.

  Of course, mc8355 works fine in the 220 x, it's the compatible card officially. But a little slower then a the Ericsson.

  I had advice to wait a while, probably win10 drivers for older wwan cards appear.

  Another way is to use modern LTE cards that have drivers from manufacturer of win10 and are supported by the new OS. But this decision moded BIOS and, probably, maybe need some installation settings.

  I have a ThinkPad slate tablet (model 1838 - 2DG with an Ericsson F5521gw inside, no SIM card installed). Battery only lasts six hours on Wi - Fi (without CPU intensive tasks running on it, middle of the display brightness). There is not much time for a new (for the most part) unit which had a first full charge before using.

  One of the reasons for this performance of low battery, IMHO, is that a battery of 10% is wasted on 'Standby Cell' (with a time of 100% without a signal). I would say that this is a consequence of an old udev for WWAN, even if there is no SIM card installed, but I'm far from an expert Android (or Linux).

  Can anyone confirm if this problem exists on ICS? (I would say that this question is for Lenovo staff, that there is no official image of ICS available for public use).

  You have pushed out a 7.1.1.0 update driver for the F5521gw card for the T430 but have not updated the T420 systems for the same card.

  Pilots of the T430 works on my T420s so out of curiosity, why isn't he there had an update for us guys?

  Unless the updated driver will be fixing some bugs or improved then the development team will not release the update that the team would be more focused in the fixing of the drivers or software with bugs.

  Thank you for taking the time to install the 7.1.1.0 and the display back. So for those who want to try the 7.1.1.0 pilot on their T420s or T420 with Ericsson card, they can do so, however, it's at their peril to is not in the list of compatibility of Lenovo.

  I sent the laptop to the service center but was asked to pay a fee of about $ 50 (20 000 naira) American so that they can diagnose the failure on the laptop and then let me know what the fault is and how much it would cost to fix it.

  Looks like you have a corrupted BIOS.

  I recommend asking Toshiba http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/ for any help. They got the disc special crisis to retrieve the faulty ROM BIOS module and instructions on how to install it.

  I contacted the technical service of Toshiba UK enclosing the message above but have not heard
  anyone after. Does anyone have information about this recovery disk and where I could get it?

  I also think that the BIOS can be troublemaker in the whole of the situation. When you start your machine, it begins with the verification of low level material and later start to load the operating system preinstalled.
  In your case the laptop is blocked for some reason any on this first step.

  Unfortunately, your options are pretty limited. What you can try is to remove the check and RAM modules and so portable HARD drive will pass this first stage.
  AFAIK the disk of this crisis is for internal use only so I don't know if you will get it somewhere. What you can try is to google a bit and maybe upload it somewhere with specific instructions on its use.

  In the end, I must say that these issues don't occur so often and I have to ask anyway: you may have updated the BIOS or done something that may be responsible for this?
