X61s - save and restore - there is no option to restore factory

I have a X61s with Vista Home Basic and I want to use ThinkVantage to a factory system restore.

I can start the restore utility & rescue (via the button ThinkVantage or F11), that's fine.

The problem is: there is no option "Restore Factory. I'm only given the option to restore from a backup.

Any ideas? The fact that I can access the utility R & R but not get this "Factory Restore" option.

Thank you

What version of think Vantage system however you have installed?

If you have version 3.13.0009 installed, please try the following: start Windows and run TVSU.  She's going to update, restart, and then update again. I hope that the ability to recover the contents of the factory will be at your disposal.

Please also check the following registry key; Common HKLM\Software\Lenovo\TVT

If the "System Type" key is 1, change it to 0. If it is already set to 0 doesn't change anything and let us know.

Hope this helps

    I changed my beta version updated channel by mistake and it upgraded to a beta version, and now there is no option to restore.

    You can only change the update channel if you uninstall Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder or install a beta version or release that copies a file new channel - prefs.js. Update Firefox never changes the update channel. Only a full installation will do it.

  • Since the loading of FF4, I lost the option to save and restore my tabs when restarting. How can I get this feature back please?

    When I stopped my system sure FF4 does not give me the option to save my tabs and restore restart.

    Now, Firefox always stores the old session which you can access from the history menu by selecting "restore previous Session."

    If you always open the last set of tabs, another approach is the following:

    1. Click on the orange button Firefox, then select options to open the options window
    2. Go to the general Panel
    3. Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

    I understand that you cannot restore your iPod touch, and it looks like it is stuck on the Apple logo with progress bar.  I would like to start by going through the steps outlined in the article below.

  • Save and restore the provisions of screen

    Hello

    Does anyone know a simple way to save to file and read from provisions of screen of files that are not of the UIR files?  ArrayToFile and FileToArray are insufficient because they store only simple types, structs not paintings.

    Thank you

    Gayle

    I do not exactly understand you reference between 'provisions of screen' and "picture of structures", but anyway, if you have a picture of structures you can save it to disk using this code.

    Structure definition

    typedef struct {}

    Definition of fields of structure

    } myStructure;

    Dynamic allocation of structure

    s = calloc (numOfElements, sizeof (myStructure)));

    Economy of struct

    {

    char MSG [512];
    FILE * stH = NULL;

    fH = fopen ("myfile.dat", "rb +");
    If (errno) goto error;

    fwrite ((char *) & s, sizeof (myStructure), numOfElements, fH);
    If (errno) goto error;

    Error:

    If {(errno)
    strcpy (msg, "General i/o error found.");
    }
    If (fH) fclose (fH);
    }

  • Backup of the WSA * and restore *.

    Hello

    I'm trying to understand how we should maintain regular backups of a request for ASO and restore in case of data loss/server failure, etc..

    I read the Database Administrator Guide that says "to save and restore global storage applications, you must use manual procedures."

    In looking at Backup and Recovery Guide we explained that a backup of ASO method to stop the application and copy the relevant application files. It lists under "to back up a database of global storage:" but there is no corresponding section "restore."

    So - not - where can I find explanation of how restore a backup of ASO taken this way. For example, if I 'accidentally' delete the application and then try to copy the saved folder app back to where it was, EAS does not list the application even after refreshing the list of applications.

    What very obvious step I'm missing?

    I know I could do various export of data and recreate the DBs by MaxL and applications, but this seems a very random way of doing things. There are on Oracle RMAN, TimesTen it y ttBackup/ttRestore - what is the 'good' way to backup and restore on ASO?

    Thank you, Robin.

    There are two ways to do

    1. to restore the backup, the application and the database of EAS, stop the application or restore it

    2. restore the files to the correct location, and then of EAS make a creation of the application and it must acknowledge your application

    Note that if you remove the application, then restore, you will lose the security associated with the application and will have to rebuild.

  • Interact with the Application in backup and restore?

    I use a persistent storage to save data in my application.  I would like to be able to retain these data for the upgrades of the device.  Suite How To - backup and restore of small amounts of data using SyncItem, I added another point of entry to my request and created a class that extends SyncItem.  I can now properly save and restore my data with Desktop Manager.

    At the start, my request has copy data storage persistent local data structures.  While it is running, it only reads and writes on these local structures.  At the exit, he empty local data in persistent storage.  For this reason, if my application is running during a restore, will overwrite the data in persistent storage, but my application continues to run with the obsolete data.  Ideally, I would like to say my request to re-read a persistent storage.  Can I call methods in my application?  In setSyncData, I tried to use UiApplication.getUiApplication () to get a reference to my application, but it throws a ClassCastException.  Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    UiApplication.getUiApplication () returns the application to the foreground, which can only be your app.  Instead, you can store a reference to your application in the RuntimeStore while it is running.  The restore process could then access the RuntimeStore object and call methods in your application to know that he has read the new, refreshed from the PersistentStore data.

    The RuntimeStore works in a way similar to the PersistentStore, with the exception that RuntimeStore data are not permanent (it is lost when the device is reset).

    Another approach is to alert the application using a GlobalEvent.

  • There is an option to 'save all tabs before closing' - what happened with the last update?

    In formats previous Mozilla, if I had more than 1 tablet open as: Facebook, Aol.comand much much more. When I was ready to close the window and hit the 'x' at the top right, I'd get the options "save tabs & close" "close tabs" "Cancel".

    This gave the option of not having to look for things once again, if you are looking for the same tabs all the time. It's the same exact box you get now, but with the option 'save the tabs and close.

    This option can be added back?

  • "Backup and restore" in Windows 7 saves nothing, except the data files?

    I want to save my 'Favorites' of internet list, messages stored in Live mail and my address book in Live mail.  It seems that the "Backup and restore" function in Windows 7 saves only data files unless you choose the option of system image, and then it is not yet clear and seems to save much larger files that I could put on a DVD.

    Can someone direct me to information on this topic or suggest a better method of simple backup.

    By default, Windows 7 saving files in libraries and folders for all users.  That includes everything in your user folder: data applications, contacts, desktop, downloads, Favorites, music, photos, documents, etc..  Windows Live Mail stores messages in the application data folder, so they are automatically backed up.

    The system image contains everything on your computer.

    Both types of backup can create more data that a DVD can hold.  I recommend that you get an external drive for backups. Owner, Boulder computer Maven
