Is there a forum MS covering the XBox 360?

My son set file has been removed from the local hard disk, and we cannot find a way to recover.  We need advice.

    Longer answer, no. Xbox306 games are written for PowerPC, which if I remember correctly a RISC based chips and Intels\AMDs are CISC based chips.

    The excitement of Xbox360 and Vista, was more in the sense to implement the sharing of multimedia files and at some point, but always on paper. Set up the games between a PC and a Player X 360, through their Xbox live, to talk to inluce to link your xbox live with the X 360 has.

    How have you connected it to the computer?  If you are using the play & Charge kit, it won't work because it connects only makes it to the battery.  The controller always connect wireless so you will need an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming receiver for Windows.     No, you can play XBOX on PC game discs.  The games that you see are games that will establish a connection with your XBOX Live account and you give points and rewards, but you cannot just put a XBOX disc into your player and play.  It will always take and XBOX 360 for that.

  • My Xbox 360 will not read a disc of game - is looking for me to put on a DVD. Is this problem related to problems XBOX live or is - something else?

    I went back to play a Friday game and console XBOX360 recognize not or read a game disc.  It says "Play DVD" "." -No matter what I do.

    I tried to go to XBOX Live Support but they have experienced a problem and the phone number and web support link cat seems to be stopped.  My gaming system shows that I'm connected to XBoX Live and I can play a game that is included in 'My games' thanks to Kinect, but the console does not allow me to play a game from a Xbox 360 game disc.  Is there any difficulty can be handles through XBOX?

  • Impossible to share media with the XBox 360

    Original title: sharing windows media player files options are not available. I click on file share (not icon) and it times out. This option is then to cancel. By clicking OK, does nothing. Any ideas?

    So I read on several sites, including microsoft, that media windows 11 jointly with windows XP THAT can enable file sharing. However, when I go through the steps, IE open Windows Media Player > library > media sharing, there is not all the icons to select share with. I can click the file sharing box, and then click OK. But nothing happens so I end up having to close/cancel on the file sharing window.

    BTW, I'm trying to share with my XBox 360, which is to connect to the local network on my network router WAN.

    All the solutions to this problem?

    Please, try the following.

    Step 1: connect Xbox 360 to a network, the first step for streaming music from your computer to your Xbox 360 console is to make sure that your Xbox 360 is connected to your home network.

    To connect your console Xbox 360 to your network home

     

    a. turn on your console and wireless network devices (for example, a router or access point).

    b. plug the adapter into the USB port on the Xbox 360 game console Xbox 360 Wireless.

    Your Xbox 360 should use the same router that your computer uses to connect to your home network and the Internet.

    c. on the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select the System blade.

    d. Select network settings, select change settingsand select the section that begins with the wireframe.

    e. Select your wired network, then enter your network password (if necessary) and then select done.

    Your Xbox 360 console should be connected to your home network.

    Step 2:

    Set Up Media Sharing in Windows Media Player 11 after you download and install Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP, you must set up so that you can share music and other digital media with your Xbox 360 media sharing. The following steps describe how to set up media sharing in Windows Media Player 11.

    To set up media sharing in Windows Media Player 11

    1. in Windows Media Player 11, click the arrow below the Library tab, and then click Media Sharing.

    2. in the media sharing dialog box, select the share my media check box, and then click OK

    3. in the list below the share my media to check box, click on your Xbox 360 , click allow and then click OK .

    It might take a little time for your Xbox 360 to appear in the list of devices.

    Step 3:

     

    Play music shared on Xbox 360 after setting up media sharing in Windows Media Player 11 and allowed Xbox 360 receive and read shared content, you can now listen to music from your computer and play them on your Xbox 360.

    To listen to the music streaming from your computer to Xbox 360

    a. using your Xbox 360 controller, select the media blade.

    b. Select music.

    c. Select computer.

    d. on the screen of the PC based on Windows, select Yes, continue.

    After a few moments, your computer with shared media name must appear.

    e. under, select your computer, select your computer and the name of shared media.

    f. find the music you want to play, then press Play.

    The flow of the music from your computer to your Xbox 360.

  • XboX 360 and Qosmio E10 - question on the Pal settings

    I have problems of xbox 360 game games that require settings to Pal 60 on my Qosimo E10 with Geoforce FX go 5200. I use my nvidia screen set up that tells me that the screen is set to Pal 60, but my xbox says it is set to Pal 50 and will not play the newer games.

    I can access the xbox through the TV connected to the port monitor button.

    Any help would be appreciated

  • Xbox 360: Problems streaming

    Xbox 360: Game Wont listened music essentially last night I had set up TVersity to listen to music and videos on my xbox it worked fine yesterday, but today when I tried to play music, I couldn't connect to my pc. I have tried everything to try to connect to it, but it does not work. I decided to try to broadcast using Windows Media Player and who have implemented and clicked to make it stream on Xbox 360. Now on my xbox, I click on TERRY-PC and I can look through all my music but when I click on play on it, it does nothing, it's the same for movies and photos they just pop up with a cross through them. Anyone have an idea how I can fix this I just don't understand why it worked last night and is not now. IM using Vista 32 bit incase that makes all the difference

    I recently bought this router and I have big problems with connecting to Xbox 360 games. My NAT is moderate and it pisses me off because I can't find a solution to this. Please someone post a SOLUTION to this problem. The details please. I'm tired of throwing from parts and to be the only slow one with a connection.

    Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

    On the Configuration tab change the size of the MTU to 1365, then click on save settings... Click the 'Administration' tab and disable the UPnP option and click on save settings...

    Click on the tab "Games and Applications" and then click the sub-tab "Port Range Forwarding"...

    (1) on the first line in the box, type Application in ABC, in the start box, type in 53 and type in 3074 service box, leave the Protocol as and under type 192.168.1.20 ip address and check the box to enable, click on save settings once it's been...

    (2) once you return to the game to the top page, click the Security tab and uncheck block anonymous Internet requests and click on save settings...

    (3) click on the status tab, and then note the DNS1 and DNS2 addresses...

    (4) Goto the XBox network settings and IP address settings, select manual IP settings and assign the following operations on your XboxIP address:-192.168.1.20, subnet mask:-255.255.255.0 default gateway:-192.168.1.1...

    (5) also assign addresses DNS on Xbox
    Use DNS1 and DNS2 addresses you took note of the primary router as secondary DNS & DNS status tab for the xbox...

    (6) turn off your modem, router and Xbox... Wait a minute...

    (7) plug the power to the modem first, wait a minute and plug the router power cable, wait another minute and turn on the Xbox and... test it connects...

  • Problems with media sharing of computer for Playstation 3, xbox 360, PLEASE HELP!

    I can't streaming media from my computer to my PS3 and Xbox 360 (media sharing) through her router (Network). I always listen to movies, music, photos etc from my computer on my Playstation 3 but recently the windows icon ceased to appear on PS3 when I turn it on. Also my xbox is telling me that it is unable to connect with my computer. The strange thing is, internet works perfectly fine for everything and I checked my network share settings and my computer has detected two game systems and are both allowed to share media over the network. I just can't understand why (& PS3 Xbox 360) game systems ceased to recognize my computer suddenly but the xbox live and PSN (online games) work very well. All the world had a similar problem and help me?
