Xbox 360 rocket problem, can't find music

I have connected my fuze 8 GB to my 360 and tried to play the music.

on the xbox, I'm going to

Portable device > MUSIC but it says that "no songs no could be found.

I know they are there, but the xbox needs to look deeper in my files. How can I do this?

Try to replace Settings/System Settings/USB MTP Mode and see if it works. Then try to MSC. Do not use Auto.

But it depends on how you put music on the "rocket".

WMP through MTP mode. A computer (or Xbox) cannot see transferred in a mode both music: MSC (works like a flash drive) or PSG (controlled by Windows Media Player). The "rocket" sees everything, regardless of the mode.

Xbox is supposed to work with PSG.  So if you have transferred files by drag-and - move, through MSC, Xbox can't see them.

But you have to experiment. Try to transfer files in both modes, try to move a file in the root directory of the "rocket" (just the drive letter, as E:\Sansa Fuze) and see if the Xbox sees.

Original title: the xbox 360 Media Player plays more music after I upgraded my CPU

I have Vista 64 SP2.  The service runs for 5 seconds and then I get the message that she stopped. He was works well for years (my Xbox 360 sharing), I'm guessing he stopped a few weeks ago after I put in a slightly faster processor. I watched a some tech posted and tried to run the program which seeks the corrupted system files, but the only files that it could not pay had to do with the sidebar Windows. I have removed and put back my media extender, I thought that it worked because I've seen (from my xbox) miniature images, videos and music counting upward, as they have been added and I could see them. • iTunes can't find my music more

A previous version of iTunes apparently added that the chain of file://localhost/ to the path and now iTunes can't find music more. How can I fix the path for all of my songs without having to change each of them? I already copied the folder back entire iTunes Media from the NAS to a local drive (because I suspect that this is the underlying problem for iTunes) but this does not alter the path information. All the music is now stored on a local disk, but iTunes brand each song with an exclamation point.

The problem of 'missing file' with exclamation points occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl-I to get information, then click on no when asked to try to locate the runway. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works. It may need some adjustments if your media is in a non-standard layout.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

Note the addition of file://localhost/ and the reverse slashes (Windows only) is normal for a file that is not quite where iTunes is expected to find.

  • Xbox 360 scan windows media center for the new music?

I just added some new music to my windows media center and the music does not appear on my xbox 360. is there a way to synchronize?

    Hi nwills,

Ideally, the Xbox 360 should automatically scan if new music is added to Windows Media Center. However, you can also manually synchronize as follows.

a: you can connect the Xbox. The Xbox Dashboard, select 'My Xbox', then select 'Windows Media Center' to receive the eight-digit code. This code allows your Xbox to recognize your media player on your computer.

    b. you can set up Windows Media Center on your PC. Click on the "tasks" and select "Add Extender". A screen will appear asking you to enter the eight digit of your Xbox 360 code.

    c. play music on your Xbox. Select 'Windows Media Center' in the menu 'My Xbox' and start playing music.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.
