• CD drive does not open and the light does not work

  original title: single CD player problem

  The problem with my CD player seems to be unique I can't find an answer, or someone else with the same problem online.

  My computer is custom built, the CD player lasted me 1.5 years no problem, not until one day I realize, it does not open and the light does not work on it, I ordered a new drive and installed that one, still does not work. so, I replaced the SATA cable which connects to the motherboard, still does not.

  When I go to my computer the drive appears but when I right click > eject it says: "year error occurred while ejecting CD drive D".  It also appears in devices such as SCSI CdRom Device Manager but I am not sure if it's actually my CD player.

  I also tried troubleshooting http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cd_dvd_drive_problems and no solution.

  WTFFF ideas? I really hope that its not the motherboard

  There are two cables you need to connect to the drive, one for data and one for power.  You must connect both training at work.  If you only have the data cable is plugged and not cable power which would be a possible cause of the problem that you see.

• Plug-and-Play Webcams do not work.

  I have two computers, both running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit, literally installed from the same disk with the same updates, etc. On one of these computers (the one I use the least) my two plug-and-play zero configuration webcams work well and instantly. Instantly I prefer to use, they do not work at all, usually errors to the effect of "the device is already in use", although I have largely ensured that it is not.

  The major difference significant between these two computers on the front of the webcam is that the computer that is running, the driver, a times usbvideo.sys Details and ksthunk.sys loaded to the device, while one who does does not only usbvideo.sys loaded to it. He also stubbornly refuse load other drivers, like "windows determines that the best driver is already installed.

  This link had a few promising information to, my registry contained no ksthunk in the appropriate location. I'll have to see if it works after restart.

  Edit: He did indeed. Webcams, works fine now.

• The devices plug-and-play USB do not install on XP pro sp3 that new hardware wizard cannot find the software.

  Both a logitech M570 wireless receiver USB trackball and cause a cooler hub from the usb port 4 master the new wizard material to search for drivers but ultimately are not found.  Neither disks driver with devices or of are available on the Web sites of the companies.

  I also encountered the same problem with a new sandisk sansa mp3 player recently. It was recognized instantly on another computer running Vista.

  However, I have an eternal hardrive of WD and a recognized on my laptop XP Trendnet USB wireless adapter. In my view, that all have two drivers I installed earlier however.

  In the end, I believe not to be able to use the Plug-and-Play devices despite them being listed as compatible with XP.

  I removed the devices, restarted, nothing helps. Unknown poster USB 2.0 Device Manager hub and 2 other unknown devices.  I uninstalled the unknown devices in Device Manager and do it again, but no change.

  Don't know what other information I should include. Any help please, I'm at a loss what to tackle next.

  To create a new registry entry that disables the selective suspend of the USB hub driver feature, follow these steps:

  a. Click Start, click Run, type regedit and then click OK.

  b. Locate and then click the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USB

  c. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD.

  d. type DisableSelectiveSuspend, and then press ENTER.

  (a) do you get an error message when you insert the disc?

  Insert the disc in another computer and check to make sure there is no problem with the disk.

  (b) is any change happened to your computer after you have saved the game?

• Netflix instant movies will load and play on my computer, stuck at "loading".

  I have a HP TouchSmart300 PC with the Windows 7 operating system.  Recently I can not access my Netflix instant movies.  Can I purchase my movies, but when I select a movie to play, it scrolls "loading".  All movies doesn't load, same result, 'loading '.  I saw last successfully a film 23/04/11.  I got to 31/03/11 with no luck.  I don't know which driver executes the program.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

• My Flash Player stops loading and playing to halfway through - Help!

  On my browsers Chrome AND Firefox for Windows 10 (installed on Chrome 21,0,0,216 flash drive) whenever I have a video in particular, the buffer or loading happens to halfway across before it goes to the end and then the video plays only to halfway.

  I tried

  -Cleared my cache of web browsers and history

  -Removal of all websites in Flash Player storage settings panel

  -Restarted my computer / browser / modem.

  -Uninstall and reinstall flash

  -Tried to increase global storage settings (will not save)

  -Contacted the video website and they confirmed there is no problem on the end here and to rub salt on the wound has sent a screenshot of the video beyond 50%

  -The website even gave me another connection to try but it still doesn't work

  I would be appreciated from anyone to help, thanks in advance and good luck.

  So I was playing just these games a month ago and it worked fine but now they wont even load when I try to run the game and other games that require the CD gives me this error in license data. I tried to restart my computer, reinstall games and updated my drivers and still nothing is fixing this.

• Loading and playing of music also works on Fuze & Ubuntu 8.10 - Possible with Win XP?

  With the MTP USB Mode selected:

  There is a way to do it, but it is more "manual".

  Pull out the USB port on the computer after having ejected, then reinsert it, but do not push down.  It stir slowly until the battery begins to load, but making contacts in the USB cable before contact with the computer contacts data.  I often use this method successfully.
