XMP Toolkit with Visual Studio 2010 (or CCG)

How to compile the XMP Toolkit with Visual Studio 2010 (Professional)?

When I try to upgrade VS2008 project files, VS says they are "corrupt."

A solution to compile the XMP Toolkit on Windows using GCC4 would help a lot, but it seems there are a few parameters for several Unix derivatives.

Hello Duisol,

Please take a look at the post I made recently on the forum, it includes a fix to add the compilation of gcc on windows.

    I think that you should disable this type of Vista security.  Or you run VS "Run as Administrator".

  • Problem with Visual Studio 2010, c# and SQL Server

    Several years ago, I programmed in Fortran. In order to get my stack of punch cards to run, I needed a couple of cards that said to the central computer what to do; It was very difficult to get this information as if it were some sort of secret. Today, I am using Visual Studio 2010, and programming in c#. It seems to work OK, but when I try to create a situation of SQL, I find that Windows authentication does not work; If I connect as long as administrator, I can see the database administrator; If I sign my name, I don't see a database created under my name, so that Windows authentication does not work. It seems that I need to know this little piece of information that nobody wants to tell me. I would like to work with an application that I'm developing, but if I can't trust him, I can't use it. I need seamless connections and unequivocal. Help!

  • Scrolling Touchpad with Visual Studio 2010 problem

    Hallo,

    I had a problem with my type of coverage and Visual Studio 2010.

    I can not get the scroll of two fingers on the Visual Studio 2010 code editor. For unknown reasons, this only works when an initial open an editor window. But the problem is if I change the window or click somewhere else (when he first loses focus after opening).

    Two strange things are first of all, it looks like something (maybe windows itself) blocking the scrolling-signal and tries to move the window visual studio [1] and the second zoom gestures still work perfect to change the size of the text of the edotir.

    I've read that Visual Studio has some scrolling problems but such nut "sometimes I got the signal, sometimes not. So I thought that it is perhaps more a Windows 8.1 - 2 Surface Pro - Surface Type Cover - Bug.

    This problem has been since the beginning of the Installation Visual Studio-(one of the first installations), so I don't think it causes a third party program.

    Next to windows says that all drivers are up-to-date.

    Here is my system:

    Surface Pro 2

    TypeCover 2

    Windows 8.1

    Visual Studio 2010 SP1

    Thanks for the replies.

    Fabian

    [1] the same effect occurs if you want to scroll in Chrome without additonal settings/addons which make possible.

    Hallo Shiho,

    Thank you for your reply and your interest. I checked the problem once again and discovered that this is a problem in visual studio, because it does not block the signal of scrolling, but just go to the wrong window! Even if the cursor focus to the editor, it scrolls in the Properties window. If the cursor is in a function, it displays the properties of this function. Normally this property list is greater that the small window so TI fixers signals scroll to scroll in the list instead in the function code.

    So maybe the solution is just a change on the visual studio settings. The problem is not this more irritating because the work without a property showcase is a temporary solution too.

    Next to with a mouse wheel scrolling works properly (in the Editor window).

    To answer your questions:

    Yes, the view still works in other programs or applications in the Visual Studio property problem.

    Thanks again.

  • MsWinsock.ocx does not work with Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 7, but works with VS 2005 on Windows 7

    Recently, we had the updates below...

    VS 2005 for VS 2010

    .NET framework 2.0 to 4.0

    Infragistics 8.2 to 11.2 (controls)

    OS - Windows XP to Windows 7

    After the updates above, MSWinsock.ocx created problems with windows 7 that worked Flory with windows XP. Then, we solved this known issue (by registering as an administrator). Basically, we use MSwinsock.ocx for the purpose of generation/report view. Now after you resolve the issue of registration MSwinsock, reporting works very well for VS2005/.net Framework 2.0/infragistics8.2 in machine windows 7 but it does not with VS 2010/.net framework 4.0/infragistics 11.2 in the windows machine 7. Is there something that we are missing to make this work in VS 2010 as well?

  • Problem with the West with Visual Studio 2010 and Oracle 12

    I can't get the OCCI driver to work. The following code generates an error of access violation in the createConnection call:

    #include < Windows.h >

    #include < occi.h >

    #include < exception >

    #include < sstream >

    using namespace oracle::occi;

    int main (int argc, char * argv) {}

    std::ostringstream s;

    try {}

    Environment * env = Environment::createEnvironment (Environment::DEFAULT);

    Oracle::OCCI:connection * ptr_conn = nullptr;

    ptr_conn = env-> createConnection ('test', 'test', ' localhost:1521 / web ");

    env-> terminateConnection (ptr_conn);

    } catch (SQLException & to) {}

    s < < "SQLException:" < < se.getMessage () .c_str (); "."

    } catch (std::exception & e) {}

    s < < e.what ();

    } catch (...) {

    log. Error ("unknown exception.");

    }

    OutputDebugStringA (homobasidiomycetes () .c_str ());

    }

    This piece of code is executed directly in VS2010 on a box of 8.1 to win. He is bound with oraocci12d.lib and compiled with the option/MDD.

    I use the instant client libraries.

    If anyone has experienced this?

    It seems I was a little liberal with the displacement of libraries linked to in the instant client, i.e. copy the lib file and function of .dll files to another location.

    Execution of the executable in the instant client directory with present all the dll solved this problem. I didn't because DependencyWalker said

    me, everything was fine.

  • Visual Studio 2010 on a virtual machine

    Are there recommendations on installation and inside a virtual machine by using Visual Studio 2010?

    I like to keep the real development projects and files on a real disk.

    I would like to set up an isolated development environment... is it a good idea?

    VS runs at a decent speed?

    Minimum requirements of the host and client?

    Thank you

    Hello

    I'm sure that other sounds here, but yes it will work well in a virtual machine.

    The proposed configuration should work, you can use the shared folders feature, or use a network share.

    It was reported that network share approach gives better results in terms of performance.

    It should work at a decent speed. I have done software development on virtual machines for several years now and do not want to go back to physics for this as there are so many benefits.

    Requirements minimum host/guest depend on a bit of your needs. Any recent material would do, I would say a minimum of 4 GB of memory to the host is defensible, but you could get it to work with less, 2 GB is not really enough, 3 GB would work. More memory is definitely better, a platform with a dual core (or better) processor 8 GB and a nice card ATI/NVIDIA (not too old models) would be nice. Yet once, it will probably work with low end graphics card, but if you can get reasonable, you will not regret.

    Using 8 GB at the host level, means pretty much go for a 64-bit OS host.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello

    I'm under Visual Studio 2010/Windows 7 and I installed the software driver OR DAQmx 9.2.2. The installer doesn't install the .NET API reference, even though I checked it in the Installer (it creates a dead link). How to access the reference of the .NET API? It is available online?

    Hi mola.

    Visual Studio 2010 support added in NOR-DAQmx 9.2.3, so I expect to install a copy of the API reference that works with VS2010. However, to develop programs DAQmx with VS2010, so perhaps you need to one of the workarounds described in this thread: VS2010 crashes with BSOD when target framework changes
