Bought a new Windows 7 computer and added to my LAN, 2 XP boxes.  The computer sees the other 2, but they do not!

This problem occurs if the (LLTD) link layer topology discovery Responder component is not installed on the Windows XP computer.

In order to establish the connection between the machine windows 7 and XP machine, try to download and install the fix Link - Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD). Click on the link below:

  • I can't see e-mail messages about my local folder on the drive location. Paranoid.

Re: try to check many messages in not-very-active topics/folders to my local files.

So you are not checking them in the sense of using the archive feature. you just create folders in the "Local folders" account and penetrating the files out of the emails Pop e-mail account.

    Please provide the following information.

First check that you have this set:
View > folders > all the
    or
Icon of the menu > folders > all the

    • Then after a picture of the folders pane, so that we can see your "Local folder" and all the files in that account.

Can make folders and hidden files visible:

    • Help > troubleshooting information
    • Click on "view the file.
    • Click the folder "mail".
    • Click on "records the.
    • Post a picture of the Local content folder.

If you have created files in a folder (subfolders), it creates a file with a .sbd extension.
Thus, for example, if the Inbox subfolders, then you will see an Inbox.sbd folder.

    • Click the *.sbd folder.
    • Please post image in the folder *.sbd, display the contents of the folder.

If you have more than one + .sbd file, please post images to display the content.

Linking the means of router you can enter the IP base of the router in an address bar in one go, being able to connect, see and configure the router menus (extended to the wireless router manual should explain how to do).

If it will not connect to your wireless router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • Norton Ghost Recovery - can not see Windows XP VM SCSI & NIC

    Hi, my first post here.

I have been using Norton Ghost incremental backup sets to backup and restore my Windows machines physical for years and thought this would be a good way to backup my virtual machines as well. I use VMware Player 4.0.1 on 2 x XP, Vista x 1 and 1 x Win7 VMs, backup everything on the network using NG within each virtual computer.

My problem is that when I boot 2 XP computers virtual from the NG, NG recovery disc has no drivers for the NIC VMware or VMware SCSI so firstly I can't not to backup over the network, and secondly, if I put them on a USB key so that I can see them, NG is not all disks to restore.

I have not tested a restore on Vista/7 yet but a boot recovery NG sees the network and local drives, so I presume it's specific XP.

I could create NG recovery disks of in NG on virtual machines, but he does not think VMware drivers are missing, and if that were the case, I can't find them anywhere in the installation of VMware Player/tools to add the disk

Is it possible to add the VMware drivers to a NG recovery disk so that I can use it or what else exists for backup computer virtual to make it easy to remove files and folders when necessary or to completely rebuild the virtual disks?

    Thanks in advance.

Now, where on this planet are the NIC drivers?

Somewhere along the way, VMware has changed its routines of facilities of the pilots in VMware Tools well, while the previously mentioned installation path exists in the particular Windows XP Virtual Machine I looked in however a new installation of the VMware Tools using the "http://softwareupdate.vmware.com/cds/vmw-desktop/player/4.0.1/528992/windows/packages/tools-windows-8.8.1.exe.tar" VMware Tools of the Package Windows Installer of ISO he only created the hgfs under folder «C:\Program VMware Tools\Drivers\» folder

"However, for the 'VMware Accelerated AMD PCNet Adapter" is installed and who manifest not only by the description of the NIC itself, but also by the presence of an oem*.inf file in the C:\WINDOWS\inf ' folder that contains the installation for her information and the header indicates "vmware - nic.inf.  So you can reverse engineer to be a package from the oem*.inf file or install from a former VMware Tools of Windows ISO Installer bundles like "http://softwareupdate.vmware.com/cds/vmw-desktop/player/3.1.5/491717/windows/packages/tools-windows-8.4.8.exe.tar" will create the folder "C:\Program VMware Tools\Drivers\vmxnet\.

  • Remote Desktop - Windows Vista-based computer to a Windows 7 computer on a local network in my office

I have a laptop Windows Vista Home Premium that is trying to connect to my Windows 7 desktop. It worked fine when my desktop computer was Windows XP and I was running the same laptop Vista Windows 7, I am now.

What has changed? I have a modem/router to two sons and has not changed the settings. I just tried opening port 3389 and cutting the firewall of Windows with the same results.

I have a VPN and the game works fine.

Get remote desktop dialog box for opening and saving in and I know that it is configured correctly, because when I take my Vista laptop to the office the RD connection works fine and I can see and I work on my Windows 7 desktop computer, so the problem is either something on my home network or with my ISP - using DSL - ideas?

  • MacBook can not access 1300 HP connected to my local network, help?

I have a HP LaserJet 1300 connected via a USB hub to a Macintosh G5 tower which is connected by Ethernet to my Telus Optik V1000H Actiontec modem/router. I read (I think on this forum) that some people have kept the modem Gateway 2 son they used before the upgrade of their service internet of Telus Optik and plugged into the router/modem Actiontec V1000H because he has better wireless capabilities. I did too, but now I don't know what modem/router my MacBook can access my network through now (if this is important).

My new MacBook Pro running OS 10.8.2 accessing my wireless network but cannot access the HP LaserJet 1300. I downloaded and installed the v.2.11 driver of HP on the new MacBook, but when I try to set up the HP LaserJet 1300, I get the error message "Unable to download the software from the server at this time." The MacBook doesn't seem to know that I have already installed the printer driver v.2.11 on it.

I tried to provide much information as possible here, but the line the bottom is I realized that my new MacBook Pro would be able to print to my HP LaserJet 1300 while the printer is connected to my network... but it can't. Can someone help me? I can't really afford a new printer.

BTW - after reading some of the messages, I realize I can't have fax capability via my network, but is not serious. I've never used fax anyway.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with some advice or point me to another conversation that could help me. Thank you!

Hi, I am answering my own question so I can mark it as resolved. I continued to read and try different things, and finally (kind of by chance) I solved my problem. I'm not entirely sure how I did it, but I'll try to explain in case someone else is having similar problems.

I downloaded the driver for printer HP 1300 (v.2.11) manually at least twice. I got it on the MacBook Pro, but the computer doesn't seem to be able to access it when I had not the 1300 HP directly connected via USB. It was confusing to me, especially when all the literature said to do a software update, if I was in trouble by doing the work of the printer.

When I went to my printer preferences and tried to set up the HP 1300 with the printer not connected not directly to the MacBook Pro, it came as a printer, but I got a message saying that I couldn't download the software needed at this time there. I left this printer icon on my list of printers. (I knew that I already had the software but couldn't get the printer preferences to realize it is there).

Then, I connected the HP 1300 directly on the MacBook via USB and the process repeated. This time a HP LaserJet 1300 @ my network was created in my list of printer and print driver was on the MacBook Pro. I chose the HP LaserJet 1300 @ my network version as my default printer. I have connected the printer to my network and was able to print wireless from the MacBook.

I'll just let the other HP LaserJet 1300 icon on my list of printers in the case removing a problem. I don't know if I need it or not.

Sorry if my explanation is poor. It would be a miracle if it helped anyone. I'm not very good in this stuff. I got lucky!
