XP8500 Radeon OUTPUTS 7770

I just bought a 8500 XPS with the Radeon 7770 2 GB video card.  It has only 1 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 display port.  I thought that these cards had 2 mini DP and if not, it shouldn't have a VGA output?  In addition, edge of VGA output is covered.  Can I remove this and always use it or not?

Thank you!

Hello

You can certainly do.
The monitor 19 '' can certainly be connected using the converter DVI VGA and the U2412M with a display port cable.
That should work just fine.

I have a 8500 XPS with 2 GB AMD Radeon HD video card 7770.  I want three monitors VGA to the fastener.  What would be the best configuration?

    Thank you.

You must start with a monitor connected to the video card that you did, DVI - i > VGA.

Restart, and then press F2 before Windows starts to load to open the BIOS Setup. Use the arrow keys to navigate and find/highlight the Intel Multi display option. Press Enter to select and look in the right for an option panel to enable (it is disabled by default). Save changes and exit and let it restart.

Then normally stop and connect the second VGA monitor to the integrated VGA adapter and reboot again. It's supposed to allow the VGA port built into work along side a video card, when you use Win 7 and have an Intel 'third generation '.

DP and HDMI are purely digital signals. You need a dongle assets such as the one I linked above to convert the digital signal into an analog VGA signal. Most of the adapters are passive and only change the cable connector of DP in one that plugs into a VGA port, but a passive adapter is not to convert the digital signal into analog signal. (BTW: check the box, Dell may have given you a RFP > VGA dongle active with the system.)

A divider wil does not support 2 independent monitors on a single port. All you can see is the exact same window on both screens.

    I hope this helps...

    Hello

HP does not publish specifications for video cards used in HP computers and the specifications may be different compared to retail businesses on the video card to the counter.  Look here on this site for more information on the video card.

Download GPU-Z and see if this tool will help you.

While HD 7770 2 GB video card is a great mid-range graphics card. Look at the comparison of performance on the above referenced site. I use a NVIDIA 460 in one of my PC, which is enough to run some games to high to ultra.  PassMark has also some video card benchmarks.

In general video cards minus 9.5 "must fit in your PC but it is always good to measure before you buy. Consult this publication documentfor more information.

  • Should I replace an AMD Radeon HD 7770 with Quadro FX Pro 3800 graphics card?

    Hello world

I'm an entry level editor that makes internal company videos.  Here's the situation (I hope that's not too basic a question):

I just buy Adobe Master Collection for a newly purchased Dell XPS 8500, with an i7 processor, 24Gbs of Ram, a 1 TB drive and an entry-level Radeon graphics card.   I intend (ed) to replace the AMD with the FX 3800, but looking at the specifications, the AMD card seems to be powerful enough: two GB of GDDR5 memory and PCI Express 3.0 16 buses with a maximum resolution of 4096 x 3112 x.  The FX 3800 was bought a year ago, it has 1 GB memory GDDR3 and PCI Express 2.0 x 16 bus interface, but has certification for GPU acceleation Adobe. The FX3800 display two ports and a Dual Link DVI port with a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

    I'm shooting AVCHD on a NEX - 5N.

Appreciate any ideas you may have.

You want a Nvidia card for MPE support material. AMD cards are not supported now on the side PC with Open CL. There is the possibility to get a Geforce card of 600 series rather that to use the Quadro which gives you the same or better specs as card AMD.

  • HP 8200 elite CMT: can I use an external power supply for AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7770?

I have HP 8200 elite CMT CPU in which 320 watts PSU is installed. I want to use AMD Radeon HD 7770 requiring more power (minimum 400 watts power supply) for maximum performance. But the fact is, the higher Watt PSU is not available for my cpu because its cables do not match that. So I ask if I can use the external power supply to power my GPU instead of the CPU power. Will be this harm to my PC?

Kindly help me to solve this problem.

    Thank you

Thank you for the information, @haseebkhan7310.

I'm not a fan of using a separate power supply to power a video card.  It can cause problems.  However, here is a video that will show you how it can be done:

  • HP Envy Phoenix h9-1355: map graphic upgrade in HP Envy Phoenix h9-1355 [7770 Radeon Radeon R9 series)

    Hello!

I have a HP Envy Phoenix h9-1355 with graphics of AMD Radeon HD 7770.

I want to upgrade my graphics card a Radeon HD 7770 to a series of Radeon R9 390 - preference. I want to do this especially because I want to connect multiple computers on struggling Display Port (DP) and my current Radeon HD 7770 card has only one exit of DP.

    I have a few questions:

1 can I switch to the R9 series and he'll be back in this Office Tower?

    2. is it easy or difficult to unattach the old card and set a new? Requires an expert and if someone competent enough can handle this task?

    Thank you!!

P.S. is there something else that should I worry about (e.g. from unexpected side effects) to make this update?

    Hello

I'm confused about your statement to "'connect multiple computers ' to display ports."  Did you mean to say you want to connect several monitors via the ports of the display on your computer?  I think that's what you hear.

The ASUS TURBO GXE 960 is a nice graphics card. I like the provisioning of multiple DP.  The ASUS card should work in your PC.   If you plan to run a large number of monitors high resolution then you should consider a graphics card that has a larger memory.  The tests that I reviewed during the execution of the 4K displays with modern games isn't all that favorable with mid-range graphics cards.

7770 HD has a connector 6-pin and Dell - Chris M on April 18, 2009, stated that the 435MT can run any video card which requires only (or not) 6pin connector.  According to forums.atomicmpc.com, the HD 4850 watts base draws, 54-60-145-217 (idle-crete typical 2D 3D-Ridge 3D), while the basic HD 7770 draws 11-29-67-84. which is almost half of the power.

I would like to know if the Dell VisionTek HD 7770 basis would be a valid replacement?

    Thank you!

An update, I bought the VisionTek HD 7770 reference because of its lifetime warranty.  Is Dell the same card, but there only has a three year warranty and it's $ 20 more.  The unit works really cool compared to my old HD 4850.  I have reviewed the new HD 7790 whose maximum power requirements are similar to the HD 4850 but decided not to push the boundaries.

Thank you all for all the comments.

  • 750ti GTX or Radeon HD 7970 for After Effects

    Hello

I'm building a new PC, mainly to work with After Effects, but I can't decide between the Nvidia GTX 750Ti and AMD Radeon HD 7970.

OK, so the 750ti is more recent, but it is much lower that the 7970 HD (it has less memory, less units of the shading, lower rate of pixel, lower rate of texture, etc., etc.), but it also has a lower energy consumption (which is not really important to me). But much more is has it Nvidia Cuda, who can work in After Effects.

So my question is: how much Cuda really helps? Is it better that a card is more powerful (in terms of all the other stats that I wrote), or is it better that it is less powerful, but Cuda?

    Thanks in advance.

(BTW, I currently have AMD Radeon HD 7770, and I have a really weak and old, CPU that I intend to upgrade after the GPU)

CUDA is almost completely unrelated to After Effects. It is used by an obsolete feature that is phased out.

Details of how After Effects uses the GPU (minimum):

Features GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) in After Effects

Spend your money on the RAM and CPU and SSD before you worry about the GPU for After Effects.

  • Acer Predator G3620 does not start / has stopped working

Hey, I got this computer from a friend who does not need it more. I have not had a true PC in 6 years. Always used a laptop with Linux, do not have a Windows operating system from 7. (I don't know no * beep * about material things) So, I got it home, bootet and everything works fine. A ran a few points of reference for the video card, checked if everything was ok. He had installed Win8.1. His former * beep * is all the more this thing, so any format / install Win10!

I started the installation of Win10 in Win8.1 because it is somehow, he would not start the USB at the start. If something copied PC, I cancelled it bacause I couldn't choose my language and I tried to boot from USB again, but it did not work. So I hold the Power button until the coils of PC, press again and nothing. (The USB stick with Win10 works fine, used to install Win10 on my computer laptop girls last week.)

No output display, no Acer Logo, no screen of any kind. The fans all run (CPU, GPU, case). The power button, there is a small circle indicator thing. When I press the power button, it's blue for like 5 seconds and then it goes off and nothing happens. The sign of power remains just orange!

Numlock lights will not illuminate, mouse driven stuff does not illuminate.

There is an SSD of 16 Go inside, but the Windows files are all on a 500 GB Partition.

Don't really know what to do, please help me :-)

    I TRIED SOME THINGS:

Turn it off for half an hour, running again. Same question.

It turns off, took out the RAM GPU and BIOS battery, waited 15 minutes while. Always the same.

Looks like something related to the motherboard, I suggest you to update the BIOS by the way so if it is something related to it, it can be fixed.

  • Please tell me what I what I need...

    Hi all

I just bought a HP Pavilion 500-002 a desktop computer and the seller assured me that I could run 3 monitors on it, but I soon discovered that I can't.

I want 3 screens for Sim Racing (iracing, rfactor etc.).

I just need to know what graphics card size (which will support the 3 screens) I can update?

    I currently have a Radeon HD 8570 and a 300W power supply.

    Any help would be appreciated...

Honestly, I'd say the real monitors instead of HDTV... main reason is that the PC/HDTV relationship seems still to be mature. Many people still have problems connecting HDTV to their PC via HDMI or DVI outputs. Monitors, on the other hand, almost never have this problem. Monitors also offer a wider choice of technologies like IPS (in-plane switching), which produce the best colors, better saturation, wider viewing angles, etc.

Opt for a vote of confidence... a screen size of 23 "- 27" should be enough... resolution of 1920 x 1080... IPS technology... support one or more of these inputs HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort. The SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7770 100358FLEX supports 3 monitors DVI... so three DVI monitors and you are good to go.

  • H8-1214: graphic cards compatible Angelica

Does anyone have a list or know what M3970AM-HP-compatible graphics cards (Angelica)?  I am currently using Asus Radeon HD 7770 Ghz card and power SUPPLY Corsair CX600M block.  I already know the R series and 700 and maximum are not compatible.  I want to upgrade HD 7800 or card series 7900.

    Guiduf,

No matter what GPU gtx 7xx and upwards, as well as their amd equivalent, will not work with this motherboard. need BIOS version 8 or newer for recent work cards and hp will not release a new update of the bios for that motherboard. at most I would recommend nvidia gtx 670 since it's the biggest card that fits the case. If you want to run a new card, you will need to get a new computer. an exchange of motherboard is essentially the same thing and requires the formatting of the hard drive to accept the new motherboard.

  • NEED HELP WITH SELECTION was GOOD AND good POWER (HP dc7900 Convertible Minitowers) MARKET

Hello! I have a HP dc7900 in Minitour Convertible with the following specifications:

    Core 2 Quad q9400 2, 66 GHz

    nVidia GeForce GT430 1 GB

    Elpida 2x2gb RAM 800 mhz (I'll add 2 x 2 earlier so I can get 8 GB)

    Card mother HP 3032 h

    Block POWER 365 stock w.

So I was planning to buy a Radeon HD 7770 (MSI, Palit, or Sapphire) because I have a small budget and this seems to be a good fit, but there's better food, so I was wondering if there are more good, good markets that would be able to manage my PC (with the new gpu, 8 GB of ram and a single PCIe 6-pin). I also have an MS PRO-550 Industrial, ATX in my old PC and I wanted to add, but I just discovered that it is very bad and that there actually 200w (not 550) :/ Any help would be appreciated P.S I found 'used' Corsair CMPSU-400cx and an Antec SU - 430 then how do get?

I see that your desired card has a minimum 400W power quantity, but I recommend moving more to a 500W or 600W for handling units your other hardware too although a little extra space so you would be upgraded.

I am very pleased with the PSU Corsair, I recently installed a CX500 in my machine, although in a smaller case, you need good cables.

    I hope this helps.

  • Is power 460W for a HPE h8 - 1360t 80 + certified?

I am interested in buying a HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360t (product number: B4J27AV). It has 3 options of power supply. I can't find the basic information about the power 460W power supply option as he is he 80 + certified, the MTBF, etc..

Can someone point me to real power 460W for PC information I am interested?

The main reason that it is not readily available, it is the reference sites have not been updated.  Example of

Most power supply provided to HP and Dell are in the index of 65-70% efficiency. It's just the nature of the marketing.
