XPS 13 has connection problems after cold reboot

I have a new Dell XPS 13 (9350) which has been updated with the latest drivers.  The laptop has network Broadcom 1820 A card.  When I cold boot the system I am unable to play YouTube videos, and some Web sites and applications do not load.  If I restart the computer after the cold start, everything works as expected.  This is consistent - it happens every time the system is turned off.

Please let me know if you have ideas how to resolve this problem so that the laptop connects correctly after be off - thank you very much.

I just found that by disabling the quick start, the problem is resolved.

  • Dell XPS Ultrabook 12 has network using WIFI connection problem after upgrade to Windows 10

I have a Dell laptop XPS Ultrabook 12 that worked fine on Windows 8.1. When Microsoft prompted me to sign up for upgrade to Windows 10, I hesitated, but finally, I signed up for it. In recent months, I have been asked several times upgraded to Windows 10 but I just ignored and delay the update as much as possible, because I need to work with the laptop and I can't afford to have problems after the upgrade.  To my horror, Microsoft forced an install of Windows 10 this morning without allowing me to delay and just after the upgrade, I can't connect to my existing network. I have therefore no access to the internet and I am currently typing this complaint using another PC. I noticed that the laptop can connect to the network automatically when I walk my router but the connection will last only a few minutes, and then he'd cut off. I tried to connect and the message I get is "unable to connect to this network. I checked with "ipconfig/all", wifi said media disconnected. I checked with the Dell support website and downloaded and installed a newer driver, but the problem persisted. Apparently the surf on the internet, this problem is faced with a number and any suggestions to fix do not work (after that I tried).

    Help, please.

You should be able to go back to 8.1 for Windows by following the instructions here:

  • Sony Xperia P has battery problem after 4.1.2. Update

This morning I updated my Sony Xperia P to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The update itself was completed without problems.

But after the update used battery very fast, without being used. And it's hot.

I tried to reboot (several times) does not.

When we look at the use of the battery, it says my Exchange (build-in app email) is constantly active and is the main reason for my use of the large farm. I tried to change my sync to push manual, without significant difference.

I activated the ENDURANCE (why isn't this by default?). In doing so, it tells me I have the long lag time, but it still really drains my battery...

This afternoon I used about 50% battery in 2 hours, without the use of mobile telephony.

Finally, I forced the app Exchange stops, which effectively stopped the battery drain.

But it seems to me like incompatibility or similar between Jelly Bean and the application of the Exchange.

Anyone who has had, or has ideas for what?

Well, I made some progress with it. The "Exchange" Service unused by my outlook e-mail reader but by the mail client by default when you access my Hotmail account. It seems to keep the phone in a continuous "awake" State which will obviously flow fast enough (tiny) battery.

The solution is to remove the Hotmail account, and then reconfigure. I also took the opportunity to try another customer, but I don't think that makes the difference. The Exchange Service must return to its normal use and you should also see the phone not being is not in the State 'awake' all the time. This is visible in the form of advanced battery via the power management menu.

    See you soon,.

  • Vista UPGRADE LOOP causing has major problems after normal recovery help

I have a Pavillion DV6226us computer laptop Vista Home Premium, 4 daus agp, I was forced into what I thought was a restart systematic due to some updates to VISTA & OFFICE until he got to the page config after the windows logo screen and update 3 or 3 remained at 0% and restarted and went into the loop of the startup-config-stop. I have had no other internet access at the time, but I needed the pc work so I tried options repair normal, start repair, latest config, safe mode, etc. and eventually had to do system restore, System Restore did not work, I tried 3 times I think and I know I got an error message 'cannot restore again or something' I went to the oldest available restoration and still got the update config, I deleted all the files of 3 updates in the software distribution folder, I thought this might work, I forgot pending .xml and restored then the register for a few days before the first update of Windows and nothing has worked.  I then tried a repair install and I have a windows vista business upgrade I bought that I never ended up using so I tried, but he wouldn't take the key not connected to windows, I put in the key OEM and it took, but I cancelled before starting installation cause I wanted to make sure that it was my only option When I had another pc, the next day, I found the pending.xml repair that I finally in windows. When I walked into windows, I found that there are all sorts of problems, from 1st installing office began to install but stop with the registry permission errors, I had 2 program files & program data folders (I moved the new ones to the old ones deleted duplicate files, the system was very slow I ran sfc and came back with a couple of errors that are not fixed, I watched cbs file but nothing came back under a ': can't fix "search of the file did not further that the errors were cause I had to restart with the repairs I did and run checkdisk, restart and decide if it is repairable or or try the upgrade installation , but the error of update 3 of 3 was back and now I was unable to boot from the disc, all I get is a white cursor with a black screen, I also tried 2 OEM windows vista home, & Xp Pro disk and a partition boot disk just to see if we can see the drive and it acts like its reading every time but after about 20 seconds to 2 minutes He let the fast blinking cursor and goes to loading vista, I can get into the bios, I can run all the advanced startup options (safe mode, etc.) but even a mistake. I tried to start with different bios settings and I tried to reset to default Panel of the bios, Ive tried hard reset - unplug all removin battey, by holding down the Start button / stop. Now, I've noticed a new screen coming during the load just before the screen of windows logo appears a black screen with 1/186 (_0000000_00000 CDF - MS) for 1 second and the only startup option that got no result was the controller of directory service. When I was able to run the checkdisk utility and found that this same file CDF - MS rode as error and checkdisk supposed to solve this problem, when I run the directory service again right after that it arranges the checkdisk says disc is clean, but it turns very quickly, just about 5 seconds to run checkdisk, then if I try to boot from the disc or other options of connection the error wil come back
and loop fixing and showing his own. Ive also ran the vista test drive diagnostic memory hard tool & bios, both tools ran without error is returned without error, there was something else that happened during one of the attempts of safe mode, do not know how I got ut open winload.exe screen but I do not change anything Please help thanks

When you did the repair system/upgrade using the version upgrade of the Installation of Vista Business disk, which was the operating system that was on the system before the problems started (before that you did the re-Setup)?  If not and you have used the OEM product key, it triggered correctly?  Go to start / computer / system properties and at the bottom it says it is active?  That is not an immediate problem, but can backfire on you in 30 days if it is not resolved.  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain that this is the same PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista (as long as it's the same version of fix than the OEM version).

I guess you can still work in SafeMode with networking (but not normal mode).

We will test your hard drive, a different way.  To test your hard drive, check the manufacturer and then get the diagnostic utility of: http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/hard-drive-support/302602-hard-drive-diagnostic-utilities.html.  If she failed the test, replace it.  If she passes the test, then it's probably nothing wrong with it.

Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  I want to update the drivers for the CD/DVD device (because it seems to be in place, even if it worked at least partially for the repair of the system).  If you need to get pilots to leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  Then see if you can run another repair of system/upgrade to Vista Business upgrade disc.

If the update 3 or 3 error always appears after that, then repost this question in Forum Windows Update: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/threads where people who specialize in updating the questions will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

    I hope this helps.

  • A virtual machine has connectivity problems

I have a server ESXi 4.1 on it with three virtual machines.  For purposes of discussion, I'll call them VM1 and VM2, VM3.  They are all on the same ESX switch.

This server has a financial application on VM1 and this configuration worked well for about a year.  Then, all of a sudden this week after users began to have popups while their financial applications, say things like other tables running could not access or that they could not communicate with SQL Server, etc. As far as I know, nothing new got installed, etc. this week on this server.

I discovered that when I PING another post from work or another physical server for VM1, it loses a lot of PING packages.  There could be 20 consecutive PING responds and then five PINGs that do not meet but no defined trend.  However, when I PING VM2 and VM3 from these other workstations or other servers, they have no problems with PING.  I did PING extended for 10 to 15 minutes and only VM1 continues to have problems with PINGs.  It is not only a problem of PING as users are getting disconnected from their financial app and I can't connect to VM1 using RDP, etc.when happening.  Then, no doubt VM1 connectivity is lost intermittently.

When I PING the VM2, VM3 to VM1, no PINGs are lost.

The physical server that hosts ESXi 4.1 has two network adapters integrated but alone is used now.  Thus, all virtual machines are physically connected to the local network through a NIC

We have a new Ethernet switch so I temporarily moved the LAN cable connected to the ESXi server to a port on the switch again and looks that much worse.  And again single VM1 lost PINGs.  VM3 and VM2 were very good.  I put the LAN cable to the original switch port and it seems that it is better but worse that before install me the LAN cable.

If anyone can give me advice on how to solve this problem, I would appreciate it a lot.

Thank you very much for your help.

Off you first need to understand what is happening... You need to isolate what is a VMWARE problem, a server or network problem.

I would start by ping from machine VM-virtual... In this way you take all opportunities that all physical connections are stop things from work.

NM, you have already done this... Its good

Which means that ICMP queries are good in the VSwitch. Internal network traffic so can't see any problems.

So the problem is most likely will lie about how your traffic destined to this server is routed to this server.

    I would start by

DNS. Check and see that your DNS is working properly and that all your zones are registered. Flush DNS on servers and workstations.

Also try to reconfigure the VMswitch or linking this server for the spare VMnic if you can to see if it clears up your problem. Also try turning off the firewall as mentioned above...

But first of all to identify the problem and were breaking is Lyon. Good luck

  • Airport Express has stopped working after a reboot?

My internet is slow so I disconnected all my gear to restart, and subsequently, my Airport Express flashes orange and doesn't seem to work. It is used as an Extender for internet and wireless printing. The Internet access does not work in the room in which it is located, and the WiFi is low, around this room. Internet working in other parts of the House near my Airport extreme AC.  I opened Airport utility and the only thing that appears is the Internet connected to the AirPort Extreme this. The Airport Express is not displayed. What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    • Soft reset: perform this reset if you forget your password.  Soft reset resets your password and disables security settings (settings of access control and RADIUS are temporarily interrupted). Forget the password would normally prevent connection or device configuration. If you make no changes within five minutes to do a soft reset, the unit will return to its former State. All the parameters of the device will be available once it has rebooted.
    1. Connect the device to the power supply and wait for it to complete its startup process.
    2. Press in and hold the reset button with a pen, a pencil or paper clip straightened for 1 full second, then release it. The lamp (LED) starts amber flashes, indicating that the unit is in soft reset mode.
    3. In the airport menu bar item, choose the network created by the device (the network name does not change).
    4. Open utility AirPort from Applications > utilities.
    5. Select the base station, and then click on edit (editing window indicates that the base station is in Soft Reset mode).
    6. Move tabs to make changes to your passwords or other settings as needed, then click on update and continue, as requires it
    7. Quit AirPort Utility.

  • Please help in the db connectivity problem after Server moves to the location of diff

Our database is with 2 RAC nodes. Our database servers are MS 2003 R2. Recently, we moved our database on different servers in the other location. Say that we pitch A, B and C.
A - the location for the database users understand me.
B - the former location of the db
C - the new location of the db.

Location B and C are in the same city but different places. A and B are located in different cities. I was told that there is no direct link between A and C and the link between A and C must pass through B. Since the move we have experienced the problem of connectivity of database between A and C. Some users got "ORA-03113: end of file on the communication channel. For me, I constantly "ORA-03135: connection lost contact" Sqlplus or Toad if I leave my session idle for an hour or more, no matter if it uses dedicated or shared connection. We also asked our network administrator to make sure that there is no firewall between the two and we have also added KeepAliveTime and KeepAliveInterval the new db server record. We also have a TAR with Oracle.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Connections this time-out when left idle for an hour feels very strongly to a firewall issue. The fact that you are going through Site B and cannot connect directly to Site c. imply strongly that there is a firewall at Site C. Since B can communicate with C, I would bet that there is a hole in the firewall allows connections between B and C. But firewalls commonly kill idle connections after a timeout: you would need to talk to the administrator of the firewall to determine how to configure the firewall to allow connections to be idle indefinitely.

  • Studio XPS 8100 Internet connectivity problem

Replaced my HARD drive and after reinstalling Win 7 Pro 64 DVD, I can't seem to connect to my Modem - Comcast cable via a Cat 5-2 different wiring runs.  An error I get is "Windows did not detect a network card is installed correctly.  If you have a network card, you will need to re - install the driver. "I can say that I did not have a network card, or find all the drivers for that computer.  Prior to the re - install HDD and Win 7, the little icon at the bottom right tray was red-XE outside, but I was still connect to the internet.

Even tried to start in Safe Mode with network, still no connection.  The only thing loaded on the computer's operating system.

Thanks in advance for any idea!

If you try to connect to your cable modem or wireless, you need a driver for NICs.

For the built-in Ethernet (wired) card you need this driver.

According to what WiFi card you have (if you have one), could be either he or she. Check your system configuration documents to know that we need or use your serial number on the support page to find the correct drivers, but sometimes missing some drivers during a search by serial number.

And well, you should have installed both drivers chipset Intel, here , then here, as the first two drivers installed after loading Windows 7. Without the chipset drivers, the other drivers cannot install or may not work.

Other drivers you need are for video, audio and technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology

  • BlackBerry Passport wifi connection problem after password change

I changed the password on a Wi - Fi device and since then could not connect my passport to this access point. Have you tried the wps process also without success.

Thought maybe I could delete the old profile registered, restart and after finding the unit once again, perhaps that would accept the new password.

I don't see how to remove the original profile.  When trying to update the password, get a message that the profile cannot be added.

  • VM loses connectivity after a reboot... help!

I'm lost on this one, I've NEVER seen this problem before.

The server is an HP DL380 G5 with two 1 GB network adapters. Running ESXi 5.0 (with all updates) one comes from ISP and we're going on the local network (server is mail, NAT and much more).

After a reboot, the NETWORK card that comes from the ISP, loses connectivity, more often. It will be the Web sites (I guess that's the port open on the firewall) but nothing else. No internet, no. DNS, I can't even ping an external site by its IP. The only thing that works is the Web sites that are currently running. We use this connection for Web sites and Internet for the site so using NAT gives him around our PC, it is important that it works.

The ONLY way to recover is to remove TWO cards from the network card in Windows and let Windows find their new (drivers). I got this server and copied down to older hardware, and never, it has a problem after a reboot and works with a number. On ESXi 5, even after fixation by the removal of the NETWORK adapter cards, once it gets restarted, I have to start all over again.

I need to pass to the virtual machine, but so far it has been nothing but a nightmare.

It is material or ESX that causes this problem, I don't know it's not on Windows server 2003 that they run...

Any ideas? Please help if you can.

The problem seems to be what I was suspecting, a routing problem internal VM. I thought you lost the route to the internet, but instead, you actually get an another route that points to the local interface. The route print output:

    Work:       < isp="" gateway="">      <   isp ="" ip="">     10

Does not:       < isp="" gateway="">      <   isp ="" ip="">     10 10 is the local IP address of the internal NETWORK adapter in your virtual machine. This means that for some reason, sees itself as the default gateway and also not trying to access the internet through your ISP router.

If you look at the text notworking ipconfig/all command, you will see that the 'card Ethernet Local Area Connection 4' with the IP itself now has as a default gateway.

The LAN4 configuration is static, so it's quite strange where the new default gateway information comes. A quick fix after a reboot is likely to open the TCP/IP settings and remove the new default gateway of the interal NIC

You could also enter a new route persistent to the ISP router with the metric is lower, but I think that we should first try to find out why your Windows 2003 establishes a default gateway on the internal interface.
