XPS 430 64 Kbps & windows 8.1

Hello

My XPS 430 will support 64 Kbps work and Windows 8.1 operating system?

It seems that my hard drive is endangered and it may need replacement.  I found a little problem that I don't have a correct copy of my Vista operating system current, defective, only discs the sytem came with.  I also want some of my programs to upgrade to newer versions, where 64 kbit/s might be more appropriate.  I currently have two hard drives, one for the user and operating system data and another for my multimedia data.  I have an external drive to back up data.

Also is there an easy way to create a startup disk from disks that have been provided with the machine? IE drivers and utilities, drivers and Documentation, and (DVD of relocation) operating system

Core 2 Quad works perfectly with windows 64 bit 8.1 and 10.  Make sure you update your bios for more late and activate NX Execute Disable Bit Security aka on the bios.

64 bits 8.1 and adds up to requirements beyond 8.0 including 64-bit LAHF SAHF and CMPXCH16

A strange problem that I find with a few 64 bit of windows 7 is RAM.  You must have 2 GB but less than 4 gigs ram during installation, then you can add up to 16 GB of ram for the House and 128 GB for Pro and Ultimate.

  • Update my card in my xps 430?

Hi, I bought an xps 430 in March 2009, I wanted a good system walked ish to play games like Alienware is out of my price range, it served me well to be honest, rarely have a lot of trouble with all the games and still maximize graphics etc. But I was wondering if it is possible to update the graphics card to a compatible DX11 for ages like Crysis 3 etc and perhaps a more powerful? The card I have now is an ATI radeon hd 4650, got 3 GB ram and Intel Core 2 quad CPU Q8200 2.33 GHz processor, windows 7 32-bit. Not sure if this is posted in the right place, because I've just joined today, sorry if it isn't thanks in advance

You will either power watts 375 or 425 watts.  You can open your side panel and the information should be on a sticker on the side of the power supply.  Even if you have the 375 watt, you will have the PCIe supplementary 6-pin power supply cable for the HD 7770 or 7790 HD and they will work.  Your total power of the system used by card is only going to be about 250 watts or less.

I'm surprised the HD 4650 since he has never considered a game card even back in 2009.  Popular card was the HD 4670 for the games.  Here is a popular HD7770 at a good price with a free game.  If you are happy with the HD 4650, then you should be thrilled with the HD 7770 and probably have nothing better.

  • Upgrade memory XPS 430

I am wanting to upgrade the memory in my XPS 430... Vista Home Premium 64-bit

    Processor Q8300

    6 GB DDR3 RAM 1066

From what I could find, the XPS 430 does support ram 1333. Am I right about that?

Also, I found this Dell link to some 1600 ram that is supposed to also work in the 430.

    Have I reason to assume...

This ram work in my 430 but does not work at 1600, instead, it will run at 1333 to lower latency makes really better.

    or

Wrong information on this dell page?

    Thank you

    Robert

First of all, there is a big misunderstanding on what we should believe Dell 'specs' or what is accepted! I have a XPS of 430 with a processor Q8300 and two HD in Raid 0, I also improved the diet as Dell gives you the minute what is needed when you buy your computer and in which specifications you purchased as and either, so if you want to get more HD, or burners DVD or a graphics better then you must upgrade the power supply.

Dell does not support any hardware you replace above what they gave you, so if you replace the power supply, then please get a warranty from this company!

But that's what you wanted to hear... YES, YOU CAN PUT MORE THAN 8 GB OF MEMORY IN a DELL XPS 430! I have 12 GB right now and plan to have the 16 GB max within 30 days! You can put more than 8 GB in a DELL XPS 430! Let me say it again! XPS 430 can have a maximum of 16 GB of DDR3 1333 RAM! You can put RAM 4x4GB DDR3 PC1333! It's 16GB to 8GB not like what the data sheet! I spent the money and took advantage of the opportunity so you can be assured that you can do it too!

  • Dell XPS 15 L502X restore Windows 10 to 8 - is not the disks

A few months, I installed Windows 10 back on my XPS 15 L502X. It seemed OK, but a bit clunky. Now I'm sick of it. It is so much slower, freeze things upwards, the Start button does not work, it takes forever to connect, webcam does not always work etc, etc.

So, I want to return Windows 8.1. In fact, I grew to love this OS. Problem is that I don't have the installation diskettes. I tried to get some via Dell website but it came to a bit of a dead end and I'm not sure if they will be provided after the expiration of the warranty.

Also, I don't seem to have an activation code on the case - is a problem.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you

    Chris

You can get Windows 8.1 by following the instructions here:

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=Is6I9B9kjFM&list=PL1RkaknDn7v9wEeh0YXFqOFsrmws-9fYn&index=1

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Windows-8-1-retail-and-OEM-ISO/

But the performance woes are likely due to the fact that you have made an initial upgrade installation. They always perform significantly worse. A clean install of Windows 10 TH2 will work much better:

  • XPS 9100 - REINSTALL/RESTORE WINDOWS 7

I have Studio XPS 9100 (bought in January 2011). It has been in place due to the years of video editing. I'm trying to clean and reinstall Windows 7.

I followed some instructions that I could find online, although the success...

-Reboot, F8, repair your computer... but it's not going in the recovery process. It restarts just as usual.

-Made a USB using Dell DataSafe Local Backup recovery, restart, F12, boot from USB... but it requires a Setup disk (which did not come with the system)

-Same as above, but using DVD instead of USB, same result.

-Uninstall the pre-installed Dell DataSafe Local Backup and install the latest version of "backup and restore of Dell. Error message and it won't let me even install properly. Now, I have no recovery software on my computer.

-Check disk management, RECOVERY partition is. I tried to assign drive letter, but the drive letter will be gone, everytime I restart the computer.

And when I think I should give up and order a Dell installation disk. It doesn't let me do online.

I'm very frustrated right now. Please tell me how to turn this piece of junk back to its default setting. You can call me dumb or stupid, it's ok (not a geek myself), as long as you're willing to enlighten us and give me a hand on this issue. I just want to work.

Make sure that you install the latest version of Dell backup and restoration which has a host of fixes/improvements for Dell DataSafe Local backup:

  • XPS 435 MT and Windows 8

I see that the XPS 435 T is not recommended for Windows 8. I have XPS 435 MT will be able to run Windows 8?

I did a migration from Windows 7 to Windows 8, not pure install, that way I don't have to reinstall all the SW I have on the PC. (Vista to Win 7 migration I did a few years ago)

I have an ATI HD4850 graphics card. ATI does not support this card any longer, so ATI does not provide to WIN 8 drivers. However, Windows 8 is compatible with this graphics card with own drivers.

The motherboard Bios that I have updated to Version 1.1.4 there years

What surpised me is that my Miccrosoft Webcam, LifeCam VX-6000, is not compatible Win8.

It still works under Desktop mode to win 8, for example, in Spype. But using the version Skype metro camera is not visible. So I bought a new.

VirtualCloneDrive I had to reinstall after upgrade of Win8.

Verification of the compatibility of the Win8 said most things is not compatible I before deinstatlled migration to Windows 8.  But it was only a few items listed.

  • XPS 8700 downgraded to Windows 7 - USB 3.0 Driver Install questions

    Hi all

I got some 8700 XPS machines to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and everything works fine except that USB 3.0 drivers will not be installed.

Listed under the drivers list is: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=1TH4K

However, when I try to install it, it gives me an error before it even loads:

"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for the installation of this software."

I know for a fact that this computer is equipped with her because I was playing with him on Windows 8 before decommissioning. All ports are working very well, but they are not only recognized as 3.0. I even tried to do it by extracting the files manually and update (universal serial (USB) Bus controller) Device Manager but it tells me that it cannot find the driver for it.

Thank you for reading and I hope someone can help me understand something.

    -Ray

Okay I found the reason why. Pilots who gave the site of dell has been for the family chipsets Intel® 7 series/C216. What I had was the 8 series.

Get it from here and it works now:

Reset recovery will wipe everything back to the factory setting. Everything that you installed or created data will be gone. You must get an ext HDD and to move your data to it and find where you placed your custom software to reinstall the software to use the data that you have moved to the ext HDD. Reinstall Windows on Windows will not fix your problem, but complicate the problem only.

    Bipman1

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Probably not, but it is not for some.

I say that because, with the situation of Win10 upgrade, Microsoft used to make so-called right digital - in which they REUSED the existing Windows license for the upgrade and then store this information on their activation servers.

Thus, if later you downgraded the PC to its former operating system, and then again later, you decided that you wanted to, you COULD do that because the PC was already seen with Ms.

But the OEM licenses are different, and since it is an OEM PC, I simply don't know if digital law applies in this case - OEM a license in the past, has always been different from the consumption of licenses.

    Hello

There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.

There was this free offer of Vista > 7 years; long expired.

How does the Windows 7 upgrade Option?

The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program works on June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Some manufacturers may choose to shorten the time of upgrade Option.
