• New tab does not display some sites, but nothing.

  When I open a new tab, it does not display the usual sites, but it shows just a white screen. Only the search bars and icons are displayed. It is not also a gear in the top right.

  Hi, try this: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.url and make sure that 'Value' is defined Subject: newtab (click right to change, if necessary, by taking care of not to change what anyone else).

  If this is not successful or if it changes, to try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• My Firefox browser does not display a footer, why?

  I tried to put a footer using the Persona and it does not appear after choosing what I want.

  The module bar has been removed in Firefox 29. You need to install some type of retro extension 'bar add-on' to see the footer for this lightweight theme (as Personas are now called).

  Firefox does not appear certain things. For example, the area around the text, the above options (bold, italic, type inserting a link - I can see what they are just by moving the mouse pointer in the approximate area and reading the small text that appears). On eBay, when I log in, the words "sign in" appear as 2 different fonts superimposed on one another, both in black. In Internet Explorer, it appears as white text on a blue background and is quite readable. Underneath, there is a box to a drop down menu ("what happened"), but not for "began when this" or "troubleshooting information. The really funny thing is: only, it has that way about my logon - works of fine wife! (Work that one!) It all started when I was running version 3.8.5 (I think it was). I downloaded version 4 hoping he could solve the problem, but it didn't. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem is still there. I have several months now (I think - at least 2 months) while the computer was turned off and rebooted several times, without effect.

  Looks like a broken profile. Back up your bookmarks, create a new profile , and then import your bookmarks back in. Let me know if you need additional assistance.

• trial version of photoshop does not display a picture, why?

  Two days ago, I downloaded a trial of Photoshop Creative Cloud.  I played a little, and then all of a sudden the pictures I brought in photoshop would only display in the sidebar while the normal display area had a blank transparency.  Anyone have any ideas as to why?

  Actually no, not sure what was the cause but it is resolved when I leave photoshop and reopened.  Thank you.

• After the upgrade to Windows 10 Firefox does not display some Fonts/Icons correctly

  Firefox displays a box with numbers inside instead of icons on some websites. I saw several other threads, and the problem was solved by allowing the pages to choose their own fonts. I confirmed this setting is enabled in the GUI and subject: config. However, the question is always natural. I disabled all addons, restarted FF and question persists. With the help of FF 40.0.3.

  I found the root cause of the problem. In Windows 10 when the WIndows Firewall service is stopped (I like this option disabled, I throw a perimeter FW), the problem occurs. Start the Windows Firewall service and everything is fine. Hope this helps others.

• My firefox does not display some characters more - how to fix?

  I use Firefox v24 under Windows7. After a virusscan suddenly all the characters do not appear in firefox anmore. Even after uninstalling and again install the same result. Then, I uninstalled and deleted all the data-firefox (program files, roaming), reinstalled and still the same.

  I'm using Linux, so I don't know for sure what police Firefox use for the user interface.

  You can do a test of fonts to see if you can identify the corrupted fonts.

• After downloading, Windows Photo Gallery does not display the Photo, why?

  For several months, whenever I open a message, image or text downloaded with, library or, Nero Photosnap, I do not get to see the Photo, or text. I have to use Explorer or Firefox. Photo Gallery just recording the of scanned photos, downloaded cheap. I have "NERO 7" and "WINRAR" installed." Everything worked fine until a few months ago. How can I fix?

• List of "programs and features" Control Panel does not display some "details".

  I already have 'Last used' in the menu of details and the column IS showing on the list of programs. but the data is empty for all the programs.   I have a LOT of details added selected and all columns in the details chosen gave except this one (but then, how can I trust the lack of data in other columns?)  I wonder why?  Believe me, I have used many of them!  Secondary question is: How to fix , and if it can be fixed in the Panel, is there another way I can get the same info?

  There seems to be some missing details in programs and features.

  Make the SFC (System File Checker) scan and see if the problem occurs.

  Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files

  In fact, it's simpler. You override the fonts page in the Preferences dialog box.

  Edit menu > Preferences > content

  In the section fonts and colors, click Advanced

  Check the box 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts' and out OK. Reload and icons should appear.

  I noticed that on some pages, Firefox does not display some texts. I have the latest version of Firefox installed and my flash and java are updated. The text appears correctly on Chrome and IE.   The site appears to be using an old 1.2.0 version of MooTools which is not compatible with curent releases Firefox.

• Windows Media Center does not display my photos. I tried to re-setup my album and it shows my files but no pictures in them. I can see my photos in all viewers

  all my photos are in JPEG format, I download my photos on several websites and on my Windows live.com page, I also see with Windows Live Photo Gallery, I use Adobe Photoshop 7 to edit and save my pictures in .jpeg format, I can visualize in Picasa, PhotoStudio, ZoomBrowers EX etc.. I can spend my photos to one of my other computers and my pictures by e-mail, and they can be consulted. I open one of my photos in Photoshop and saved in a folder on my desktop in .jpeg and .bmp and it does not display. I sort my folder in date and make sure that hidden files is checked. I know I'm missing something, but still nothing.

  All files compatible photo in your library in Windows will appear in Media Center, including whatever it is stored in the folder my pictures or public photo. If you store images somewhere else, like an external hard drive, you can add them to the Media Center as well. To learn how, see Add files to media in Windows Media Center.

  The following is a list of reasons why an image will not display in Media Center, as well as suggestions for correcting the problem.

  • The picture file type is not supported in Media Center. For example, some digital camera photos are saved in the RAW file format, which is not supported in Media Center. If you have a photo editing software, try to open the picture in that program, and then resaving in a file type that is supported (for example, JPEG). To see what types of files are supported in Media Center, see file types supported by Windows Media Center.

  • The file is corrupted. If this is the case, try to open the image in another photo editing program, and then save it back into a different file type. For more information on the damaged files, see the files corrupted: frequently asked questions.

  • The file is hidden. You can view a hidden file by changing its properties in Windows. For more information, see Show hidden files.

• Mobile profiles (phone and Tablet) screen does not display does not correctly

  RoboHelp 11 on a Windows 7 machine

  I have a small project that I asked in August and just pick it up again today. The only changes that I made today have a background color in the selected schema and adding browsers to the Profiles screen (mobile phone, desktop),. I also changed the pixel size of screen above and saved profiles, but eventually changed his mind and changed their return. I don't know if it would make any difference to this problem. (When I did size changes HR told me to update media queries, but I do not use all... or at least none came in functionality to handle media queries.)

  Then I re-generated output, but the Tablet and phone screen sizes are does not display correctly when I tested it by changing the size of my browser - there is a browser size quite large "dead zone" where no content is displayed at all (which almost makes appear as the 'sensible' part of the output does not work), inland navigation (front and rear bar and buttons) is pushed upwards in the header bar , and no horizontal browser scroll bar appears so that I can scroll to see the edge of the large images. I mainly use IE but it happened as well as Firefox and Chrome. The desktop display seems to work very well. (I'm sorry I have no screenshots now - I can provide some if necessary.)

  I was wondering if it had something to do with my chosen 'model' but a new project that uses that even a (Theme1_Standard) had no problem. Now, I also noticed that the model seems to have changed since I was last in Robohelp, because the overview of model unchanged today was not the same as the model from August. The Readme file for the latest patch does not mention everything that I thought that seemed to be related.

  As I said, I changed were all one color, browsers display profile and the profile screen sizes which I subsequently put discarded. I'm completely at a loss as to what caused this and how to fix it. I feel like an OAF comprehensive because it seems to be related to something I * DID * but back on my steps gave nothing.

  UPDATE

  Still having this problem, but in poking around I discovered that some of the program files on my local machine have been updated in mid-September (when it looks like ReadMe file in the last patch was installed on my computer) and others have been updated mid-October (the first time I was in HR since mid-August, so anything is a not then generate). I don't know if this means anything, but to me it seems slightly suspicious. THX.

  I tried to reproduce the problem, but I can't get the the problem you describe. I do not have a dead zone and wide content scroll correctly.

  The screenshots are pointing to the former route Theme1, so there may be a problem here. Can you please try the following:

  • Delete the layout of your project.
  • In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder! ScreenLayout! in your RoboHelp project and delete the Theme1 folder.
  • Claire the! SSL! folder.
  • Clear the DPC.
  • Remove the output that you previously generated to ensure that no old file remains.
  • Open RoboHelp, add the layout and generate without making any changes? It's working now?

  Just to be on the safe side, Adobe has released a fix for HR 11.0.3 that some sensitive issues in layouts, however not correct the issues identified in this thread: questions in RoboHelp 11.0.3
