Y at - it a clear indicator or a code to indicate if a stick of RAM is registered or unbuffered? I would like to know for sure before I add that extra RAM for the empty slots this Mac Pro (2013) that a 2 x 8 is installed.

The 4 and 8 GB sticks are not saved while the sticks of 16 and 32 GB are registered. As you seem to know, you can not mix registered and unregistered sticks. For example, you can only add 4 or 8 GB sticks to your present 8 GB sticks
