Y40 - 70 won't hold battery charge

I plug, 100% load, unplug the unit. Bed 100% charged battery. About 15-20 minutes later, computer laptop stops suddenly with a dead battery. When I plug it back in and get it restarted, it shows the battery charge again, 0%.

I'm on Windows 10, but this problem started a few weeks before proceeding with the update. Thanks for the help!

    Gina,

What troubleshooting measures have so far?

Have you tested it with a charger from apple work known, no third-party?

Have you tried to plug into the computer to see if it's the "cube" which is plugged into the wall?

If the battery is dead, you must connect the device for at least 20 minutes before it will fit on. If it works, make sure that you leave fully charge. Once it's done to make sure that you do not charge the actual phone until the battery is completely drained. This would reset the battery cycles.

Make sure that you do not leave the phone plugged into the wall outlet overnight, it can burn your battery.

  • Why my iPhone 6 won't hold a charge?

    Hello

My iPhone 6s is a problem to hold a charge. I tried all the tips that are found in the data base of support, but it seems that they do not work. I looked in the settings of the battery as well as to consider whether there was an application using a lot of my battery.

    Thanks in advance!

If you've done every step of the data base of support including restore your phone from a backup and restore as new, and it still does not work.  Then make an appointment with the genius bar and hold your phone Apple store.

Very disappointing and on top of that wall charger also quitting only 10 days of work in equity. I guess IM wondering if there is something I can do ?

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

The HP 7 1800 comes with a charger that is rated to power 2, 000mA of electricity.  (2 Amps).

If you replaced the original with Charger provides less, it may not be fully charge the device.

    Hello.

I recently had a Portege 3440 OCT, XP, seems a good bit set up, except that it does not hold its charge very long (10 min). Even when it was turned off and was in charge for about 3 hours.

Can someone help with this problem? Any help would be appreciated

    Hey Buddy,

Well, this laptop is really old so I m not wonder about this question. A battery can be recharged about 500 and when it runs out shortly after fully recharging the battery, the battery can must be replaced. You may need to buy a new battery.

You can get a new form of battery to an authorized service provider. They can sell you all Toshiba spare parts and new battery, your laptop should work on battery power for a long time yet. ;)

My macbook pro battery will not hold a charge. I took in an Apple reseller and claimed him install a new battery. He said that my battery was still good. I asked him to install a new battery just to have a brand new machine. With the new battery installed, the computer still will not hold a charge for very long. I got the Apple dealer and he ran several tests without conclusive results. I always have a laptop that will not hold a charge and must be connected to use for any period of time. Can anyone offer a solution? Thank you.

  • Satellite A60 - Battery will not hold a charge

    Hello

This looks like a dead battery. The fact is that you can charge the battery about 500 times. After this period, the battery is dead or loose performance immediately.
I think that the only chance to solve this problem is to replace the battery.

  • My iPad will not hold a charge and won't

My iPad is showing a red - battery flat. If I connect it to the charger, it tries to go - see the white Apple logo and about 30 seconds later it turns off, but in another 10-15 seconds, it shows once again the flat red battery and the cycle continues indefinitely - red battery Logo - Logo - Off - red of the battery... Help, please.

    A few options.

your battery is toast and can't hold a charge.

Your charger may not give the battery what suits him so it cannot load.

The cable is not making a good connection for recharging.

Make sure that you use an iPad, not an iPhone, one charger. iPhone Chargers put only half as much power as the iPad ones.

If you have another charger and cable, those Exchange and see if your iPad will charge. Be aware that if you are up to the Red level of the battery, it will take at least half an hour for your device be used.

Also, look in the loading port and make sure that it is clean. As silly as it may sound a piece of lint can impede charging. Make sure that the contacts on your charging cable are clean.

If you can try another charger and cable and your iPad still hold a charge then the battery can be turned. (they have a limited life span)

You can contact your local apple store or service provider authorized and put in place an appointment to have the battery checked and possibly replaced. The tax is around $ 100 unless you have Apple care. If you do, and it's within the warranty period, replacement can be free.

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today
systems overload are not a problem.

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil

  • ages 7 months and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes

My HP pavilion Entertainment PC is 7 months old and a battery that will not hold a charge for at least 10 minutes.  In addition, the battery icon says "fully charged, do you replace battery.»

With batteries which cost $129, I'm a little ticked off.  I can't find information - anywhere on this site!

The guarantee covers a dead battery?

I bought 5 HP because of their excellent warranty.  But this, honesty, will be my last, if the battery is not covered.

Thanks in advance for the advice and guidance!

Wow, awesome!  Thank you very much!  The only thing you could have said or done was better deliever the new battery!

  • Firefox is using excessive via "Background App Refresh" battery charge - Although setting being decommissioned.

I have background App refresh disabled - the scale of the system. However, the Firefox application has managed to get a huge 8.6 hours of substantive activity App Refresh... and eat an important piece of my battery charge in the process. He has used more battery than the Safari app, even if I used just the Firefox App Firefox does NOT respect (and iOS is obviously not properly apply) the updating of the background App setting.

The Firefox application won a quick deletion of my iPhone. I can give him a second chance in the future, when Apple and Mozilla had the chance to solve this fundamental problem App update.

Attached are two screenshots. The first is my screen background App update, which shows that I have background App refresh disabled in its entirety and the second, my main screen of the battery, which shows the excessive amount of the battery used by "Background App refresh." Firefox is a flagrant violation in the Protocol of the battery by the Firefox app... and unfortunately, iOS has allowed it to happen.

I am very pleased to announce that the issue of excessive background use I had experienced with a previous version of Firefox for iOS is part of Firefox version 1.2! I now use the normal battery with little or no background activity. I am very pleased and I intend to continue to use Firefox on iOS regularly.
