Y500 Wireless disconnection

My wireless disconnects always randomly a few times every day. Before I had to resolve to fix wireless adapter when I had this problem. Then, I tried a few fixes in other threads with the similar topic. It always disconnects randomly, but I don't have to fix it, simply manually connect to wifi. No other devices connected to my network have this problem.

Try this:

1. disable bluetooth (you can play and activate this later, after problems and achieve a stable wifi connection problem)

2. start the bios and disable secure boot (reactivate this once your problem solved)

3. start in safe mode

4. go in Control Panel/Device Manager and look for the wifi card. It should be in the network card.

5. uninstall the driver. When presented with the case of the delete option to delete permanently. Click OK.

6 reboot the device.

7. Windows will install its own driver wifi with the default settings. Do not change the settings.

8. connect to the internet. Enter the ssid and passhrase to establish the connection.

Check if you have a stable connection. If so, remember to re-enable secure boot.

  • Satellite L650 Wireless disconnects and connection cannot be retrieved

    Hello everyone,

I have a connectivity problem with my 3 year old Satellite L650, Windows 7...

I have a LAN wireless in my house, so that my laptop will automatically connect at startup, without any problem.
After some time (it can be minutes or hours) it loses signal and disconnects.

This isn't a real problem, because the router is quite far from here, with walls between which can reduce the signal, so no surprises.
But I can't reconnect later: connection status icon stops working.

I mean it shows the image corresponding to "available wifi connections" or "connected but no internet access, but or by clicking on the icon or move the cursor of the mouse on it gives no output... it is responseless, and I can't connect to my wifi or any other wireless network.

I tried to do it from the control panel - network and sharing Center, but the story is the same, the two "set up a new connection or network" and "connect to a network" is not responding when you click on it.
The only way to connect is to restart the pc.

    How can I solve this?

    Any suggestion is appreciated,
    Thank you!

    > The only way to connect is to restart the pc.
In case this question is repeated once again, try to refresh and renew the IP address.

Go to the console (in the type of search CMD)
Now use the command: ipconfig / renew

After this attempt to connect to the Wlan again.

In which case it would not be useful, I recommend you to change the settings of the router.
I mean that you need to reset the router. Then, you need to test with different types of protection Wlan Wlan connectivity and other standard Wlan (802 11 B G or N)

Test also the laptop with open WiFi. I mean, you must disable the encryption settings of the router. But this is only for testing purposes.
The WiFi network must always be secure.

  • Satellite M30-107 - guard wireless disconnect and never connects

My Toshiba Satellite M30-107 with Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network connection is not connect wirelessly. I know that there is no hardware problem, because I used this laptop to different wireless networks in the past, and just recently I formatted my laptop using the recovery disk Toshiba gave with it.

I set up the wireless entering the SSID and network key. But the wireless connects with the Excellent signal is only for a second and then disconnects, then reconnects, disconnects. After doing this for a while, it remains offline.

How can I do to connect and stay connected as it should?

It is not easy to say why all this happens. I also think that your laptop works well, then maybe you should check the router. Reboot the router and check the WLAN connection again.

For a moment turn off WLAN protection and check if the same problem happens without entering the network key.
Setting router to run on 802. 11 b / g only and check again.

Play with these settings. Have you bought a new router? I mean if everything was OK in the past I m wondering why you are facing this problem now.

  • Satellite P750 - Wireless disconnects when wake the portable computer from the 'standby mode '.

    Hey

Today, my Toshiba Satellite P750 (running Windows 7) has been disconnected from my wireless network when I wake from sleep mode. When I close the lid of my laptop, it goes automatically into mode 'sleep', and when I open it, I put my user password and use it as usual. However for some reason any today, it does not work.

When I wake up, it recognizes my wireless network is available, however, cannot connect to it. When I solve the problem, it indicates that there is a problem with my router and I should turn it off, wait at least 10 seconds and then turn it back on. I tried this and it works fine, but my laptop has never done that (in the few weeks I got it) and I wouldn't constantly reset my router to use Internet. In addition, I have another laptop at home that works very well.

Should be really this issue be resolved quickly as I have exams this week.

    See you soon

    Hello

Maybe there is a problem affecting the IP automatically once the laptop has been in sleep mode. It could also be another reason for it but it of always difficult to say which could affect wireless networking

I think you should try to update the Wlan driver.

Don't know exactly what you have but here the card Wlan, you can find all the latest WLan drivers available for Toshiba laptops:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Uninstall the old drivers first, after new reboot install new drivers downloaded for the wireless network card that is built in Notepad.

  • trackpad wireless disconnects on one of my accounts

Running latest version of El Capitan on an iMac retina end of 2014. But had the same problem on Yosemite IIRC.

I use a trackpad Apple wireless, I think that at the same time bought than the iMac. 87% battery.

On my user account, the track behaves normally.

However, on another user account, the trackpad turns off / disconnects. I don't have the exact details, because it is not the account I use, but I * think * most OFTEN, this occurs when the user starts and the computer goes to sleep. HOWEVER, my wife says him, it happened that the trackpad simply 'disappeared' upon him in the middle of a business meeting, and that sometimes happens ("once a week or more").

I just went up to the computer, which had finally been used last night, was recorded on a different account, and the trackpad was totally insensitive. By pushing the side to turn on the trackpad button did nothing, so I had to do a hard reboot of the machine.

Any suggestions on how to fix?

  • Welitebook HP 8540p: Wireless disconnects frequently after updating windows 10 Hp Notebook welitebook 8540p

I'm updating to win10 about a month ago. Since 3 days wifi disconnect every minute...

is it because of a windows update?

    concerning

    linustocn

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on WiFi often disconnect and wanted to help.

Whenever someone comes here running Win10 and complains about something just suddenly does not work, I immediately suspect driver updates Windows.

Unfortunately, Win10 forces automatically updates driver on each of us, without our knowledge and without our permission - and in this case, a work PC is suddenly 'broken '.  This could happen to you.

You must go to settings, update & security--> Windows Update.

Then choose Advanced Options--> history to see when the updates have been applied last.  If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, if you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem.  Do so you by going into Device Manager, see if the device is still listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

If you don't see the driver updates recently, then try the steps in this thread: HP PC - wireless network and Internet troubleshooting

    Good luck

  • Frequent DeskJet F4580 wireless disconnects

I'm having a problem whereby the F4580 simply stops responding to network traffic after an hour or two of not used.

There are no settings in the built-in Web server to change this behavior, and the only way I can solve it is to power cycle the printer

So far, I tried the following:

Disabled IPv6 on router (Buffalo WII-HP-G300NH) and PC (Win7 64 bit)

Assigned to static IP address (from outside DHCP rank)

    Disabled all firewall

Forwarded to all ports mentioned on this post

Installed the printer using a USB cable, Ethernet and WPS

Set of wireless network at no encryption (also tried WEP and WPA)

Even tried an old Netgear router I had knocking around thinking bison was somehow inconsistent but still got the same problem

Strange thing is, when the printer is disconnected (normally after one hour of non-use), the Network Configuration page still shows the method static IP I assigned to it (192.168.11.20) the light remains blue wireless solid (as in 'connected'), but the client monitor on my router did not mention the printer or it is MAC address.

During this time I can not ping the printer from any PC on my local network. However after a power magically in the cycle it starts to work.

This seems like a problem with the NETWORK card wireless on the printer itself. Is it possible to prevent it from entering the mode 'sleep'?

    New firmware?

The only thing I can find on the HP support pages are basic and full (quite horrible) printer driver version and a useless "Network Diagnostic Utility.

I cannot accept "Fix" of HP of power cycling of the printer. What is the point of buying a wireless printer if I have to restart every time I want to print something?

Any help would be greaty appreciated

    Kenny Dee

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • Wireless disconnected on resume from standby or hibernation

I have a new CTO T520.4239 with Intel Centrino Ultimate N6300 AGN wireless adapter. I searched the Board for a recent solution to the problem of disconnection on the CV and did all the power setting and the PCI Express listed by others, and like most mods, they did not help.

When the computer comes out of the network icon in the area of notification has a red cross on it and wait to connnect does not help. I have to click the icon and select the network to which I want to join and then wait for the icon to go from blue to white when the computer and the access point finally hang up. I do not use the dial-up connections. It wasn't a problem until a series of updates this month.

Does anyone have the fresh ideas on what seems to be a well known problem? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

  • Wireless disconnects in less than 5 minutes - Photosmart Plus e

After the free phone disconnects, I have to disable and enable the wireless to the printer in order to reactivate the connection. If the connection comes on a different IP address than before I mess around with the Macs in order to communicate with the new IP address. It was not the behavior of the printer from the box (he worked for a month or two). It started as the printer started bugging me to activate ePrint, who wasn't on the behavior of the box. Then I also installed a firmware update, requested to the printer. The printer connects to a router from Verizon and are both of my computers Mac OS x 10.6.8 with all available updates. Also, I turned on the ePrint to see that if held connection awake... it doesn't. Help.

I think it was just a matter of restarting the router. I had rebooted the computer and the printer several times. When I saw that the lane change 11 worked after leaving the facility for 30 minutes, it would have been absurd to me that it would be interference with the router sitting next to the printer. So I reset the router from Verizon to the recommended automatic channel selection, channel 1 is selected automatically, I left things defined in this way during the night, and everything seems to work properly this morning.

  • Wireless disconnects after the removal of the USB device

When I remove my iPod or External Hard Drive my WiFi disconnects itself. Usually it is a mild annoyance which could be solved by performing a right click on the Wireless icon in the task bar and selecting "Repair", but lately when I click repair it is unable to do. It gets stuck in disabling step, refused to cancel and I have to restart my computer to find an internet connection.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello Rorious,

Thank you for your message.  First of all, it is recommended that you back up your important data.  Then go to site of the manufacturer of your computer, look for a new chipset driver, but also a newer driver from the network.  The behavior you describe could be that you need to update your drivers or that a piece of hardware can go wrong (ie. motherboard, NIC).
We can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • Wireless disconnects randomly on my laptop.

I have a Dell laptop purchased in 2006. He has XP with SP3. I have a wireless network set up at my house so that I can wireless internet access anywhere in it. When you use my laptop, sometimes, I'll be on a Web site and the following I try to go does not load, and then it will say that the page is not found because I lost the connection. At this point, I can disconnect from the network and then reconnect to it and the internet works perfectly until the next time that this happens. No other laptops or devices home lose the connection like this. I found some suggestions online to disable wireless zero, and I tried for a while. When I did this, at random times just as before, a different symbol wireless jump upward in the task bar (Intel ProWireless I think) telling me that she had lost the connection. With off WZ, I can't look for a network, so I can not disconnect and reconnect. A few minutes later, he will return to full power. This happens often and completely at random, as he has done before. There is another feature I should enable or disable? I have all kinds of specifications, but I don't know who to post. Help, please!

    Hello

Go to the properties of the network card WIRED on the power management tab, uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

The cause of this is the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service. This feature, enabled by default in Windows XP Service Pack 3, is designed to optimize the use of wireless network technology in constantly looking for other wireless networks. This process has been known to cause clients to randomly drop their Wi - Fi connection. The best method to alleviate this problem is to use third party software to manage your wireless connection. This software will almost always receive with the driver for the wireless card you are using. Once you have this software installed, you want to disable the automatic configuration service to prevent it to load at startup.

    1. 'change advanced settings' in the wireless network connection dialog box
    2. in the tab "wireless", select the network and click Advanced.
    3. change a random setting
    4. click on OK and OK
    5. step 1 and 2 once again
    6. restore the random setting

In addition, refer to this links:

    Hope this helpful Information.

  • Wireless disconnect all of a sudden and then adapter is not found until the reboot!

I am currently using Acer Aspire 4740 G with Windows 7 Home Premium. Previously, the problem I encountered was that the wireless card is not found when you turn on the laptop with the battery. The problem could be fixed by restarting until the adapter is found, or just plug in the power cable.

Recently, the problem has gotten worse. Even when it's current alternative, my wireless connection will suddenly shut off and then the adapter is not detected until the reboot. In network connection, the adapter is shown, but it shows disabled. When I click on him allow, the popup notification enabled but in the network connection is still disabled. When I try to uninstall the card and try to install it back, the adapter is gone until I restart.
    They follow methods I've tried.
-Under the management of the power of the adapter, I unchecked "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
    -Using a power high performance
-Updated my wireless adapter for Qualcomm Atheros AR5B93 v10.0.0.234 (do not know what is the most recent, can anyone verify this for me?)
The only way to solve the problem now is to restart the laptop. However, the problem will occur again in about an hour or 2, but it's embarrassing!

Not sure if this helps, because my problem seems to be fixed now.

I have been uninstalled Tuneup Utilities. I remembered before installing Tuneup, the problem occurs only when my laptop was disconnected and running on battery power. After the installation of Tuneup, this occurs even it is plugged. Looks like than Tuneup messed my network or power management.
Thank you guys for trying to help anyway.
