  No, my laptop model is HP Pavilion dv6 1337tx. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. So, today, I shut my laptop down by force by pressing the power button because it did not at this time. Then the next time I turned it the wrong problem started. Whenever I'm on the HP logo sometimes and then the Windows logo comes also. But then the screen stays black and the mouse cursor appears. So, what can be the cause of this problem? I also tried to open with 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with command prompt', but they did not help either.

  Note - I tried the method of discharge after taking off the battery and holding down the power button. He could not help. All LEDS are working properly. I have no extra monitor, so I can't check the display elsewhere. Also, I ran the memory test which shows that everything is fine. Please suggest what I can do now as I can not enter the laptop now.   I have a strange problem with the display on my new Thinkpad T410. I don't know yet how to describe. Red, green and blue still exist, like black and white, but the brightness between the two levels are washed out or banded. I tried to take pictures of some color models to demonstrate.

  Most of the time, the screen works as I expect. Sometimes however (especially after waking up from his sleep?) the gray borders around things seem too bright and washed out colors. When this happens, he persists and worsens slowly over time.

  I hope someone can help, or at least has the same problem. I read trough this forum but can't find anything similar. Description of the problem:
  After pressing the button 'Start', the laptop is a short sound (HDD - load I guess), and then nothing happens. The screen stays black, no sound at startup, loading, fan, hard drive. The only solution that I have because it is to stop the computer again (by pushing the Start button... 7 seconds), rechargable battery, put it in place and try again. I had this problem for 4 or 5 times now, for two weeks. This issue scares me. This may indicate that something in my laptop will soon die...? !

  I'm not sure, but I guess there is something wrong with the battery or the electronics of power supply. I recommended to remove the battery for the work with the AC adapter. Try to discharge the battery completely several times.

  I plugged my Compaq 420 on my HD TV via a VGA cable.

  Now, I love watching videos of youtube on my HD TV.

  However, the screen goes black after about 15 minutes. So I have to move my mouse to bring up the screen again.

  I thought it was the standby screen so I changed the setting to 60 minutes, but still the screen goes black after 15 minutes of watching the video.

  If I move the mouse whenever a whilte (entry reachs 15 minutes) the screen becomes black ever so I move the mouse every time some time when I look at something more than the 15 minutes. but I don't want to get up from the couch every 10 minutes so please help change me the setting so that the screen is not black.

  In Control Panel > options, click choose when turn off the displayof power "on the left side of the screen and changing the settings Never to"on battery"and"Plugged in"

  I have Storm1 with v5.0.0.328 OS, with 3 "third party" installed applications. (Visual Voicemail, VZ Navigator and VZw tones) I do not have, or do anything else is running in the background. My problem is occasinally, after I unholster my Storm1, the screen is black. I press the buttons at the bottom of the screen, even the release button, nothing happens. I have to do a battery pull to Storm1 works again. Normally when I unholster Storm1, the wallpaper is displayed with a message, the screen is unlocked, press on unlock button to unlock. What's this problem of "memory leak" or something else?

  Thanks for the help. I did the upgrade to v5.0.0.419 on my Storm1. My computer is Windows Vista, so I had fun a little hard to find certain files (c:\program files\). He did not exactly "vender.xml", but I managed to make it work. I did the backup and restore when the software prompt RIM came out. Only problem, all my MMS saved disappeared, but a single message from Verizon is still there. I consider that it is minor, because I saved a few media media card. I can can still send and receive e-mails, sms. MMS. I do not know if this OS update will solve the occasianally Storm screen goes black, after unholstering.   -Set the screen saver vacuum? If so, change the screen saver to another and check if this might be the cause of this problem.
