Y560p - bios for incomplete flashing display

Recently, I managed to check the available for my Y560p laptop bios.

After download and unzip the file, I open the bios for flashing software.

Unfortunately, the entire screen is incomplete (shown below).

I would like to know what the best solution is to resolve this issue, give me a link for him as well for more details.

Thanks in advance.

Ryan.

Hi Ryan19,

Welcome to the Forums.

Your question may be similar to this article:. Can you pleae try the solution that has been published and revive WinPhlash as administrator.

Alternatively, if you are running Windows 7, try to disable system effects by choosing to adjust for best performance of this guide.and restart WinPhlash as administrator.

Hi all, I tried flashing my BIOS of the laptop but it always restart when it comes to flashing phase. I use the WinPhlash of + "drivers & Bios +.

    Hello!

Have you also download the good BIOS for your laptop? I want to say is designed to PSAA9E series or another update?
If you update the BIOS you must be logged in as an administrator and close all running programs.

And why you try to update the BIOS? This update should only be performed if you have problems with your laptop. It s a little bit risky because you could destroy the ROM module in the worst cases.

  • Problems after "WinFlash BIOS (for notebooks with Intel processors)" HP Pavilion dv6-1129tx

    Evening ladies and gentlemen.

I installed an update for my HP Pavilion dv6-1129tx Entertainment Notebook PC today (see details below). Against my better judgment I thought having the latest version of the BIOS might be a good idea, even if my laptop worked fine as-is.

After update BIOS F.24 I now have the following questions:

    (1) when the display on the laptop turns off due to being slowed down 20 minutes, he don't come back now. If I press any key to wake up, he will the internal speaker beep. As soon as I press power it turns directly to the output instantly.

    (2) I can restart is no longer. The portable computer shuts down normally, but when he tries to go back on it starts, but windows is not loaded and it just hangs. I have to turn off by pressing the power button, then turn it back on.

I installed it just this afternoon and I am posting this a few hours later, so I don't have time to notice other problems of performance after the update.

Long story short, does anyone know or have the original BIOS for my laptop (sp43821)? Or has someone at - it had the same problem and found a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Updated BIOS for Satellite Pro U200?

    Hello

does anyone have any experience with BIOS version 1.3 for Satellite Pro U200? I've upgraded to this version of the BIOS and have had several problems since then - shortened wireless keyboard does not and display the overflowing of installation brightness to name two.

In addition, as I noticed last week, upgrading the BIOS can not be downloaded more and there is no alternative - just says download page don't: "no BIOS upgrade for this product! Is there anyone that has 1.2 BIOS so that I can try to downgrade to this version?

What is your experience with BIOS 1.3?

    Hello

    It s really strange?  :|
I checked the BIOS for Satellite U200 and Satellite Pro U200 download section, but I put t found any BIOS download at this time.

A few years ago the authorized service provider has installed an older version of the BIOS on my Tecra friends unit.
I guess that he should be able to do it on your Satellite Pro U200.
The other possibility is to wait for a newer version of the BIOS.

  • Is it possible to update the BIOS for the Satellite A110 (PSAB0) and Windows7?

    Hi all

I recently installed Windows 7 on Toshiba Satellite A110 (PSAB0).
The version of the system BIOS is v1.30
I want to Flash the BIOS for you last version v2.0.
This version is released in January 2009, before the introduction of Windows 7.

There are two versions of the BIOS download, one "for Vista only' and one 'OS independent.
I think I have to go to the operating system independent.
    Link: [update BIOS | http://www.toshiba.nl/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EN&selCategory = 8 & selFamily = 192 & selSeries = 236 & selProduct = 661 & STAS hortMod = 478 & language = 1 = 12 & selOS & selType = 4 & yearupload = & monthupload = & dayupload = & we eDate = null & mode = allMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 24 & selectedLanguage = 12 & type = 4 & page = 1 & ID = 66230 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

Independent of the OS has warning: + "this Bios is NOT compatible for notebook computers equipped with Windows Vista!" + "

So here's my question: this BIOS version is compatible with Windows 7?

    Thank you very much!!

    AJ.

    Hello

I think that this BIOS (v2.0) is not released for Windows 7 and that it has also not been tested with Windows 7. This BIOS has published 21.01.2009 and Windows 7 was released on July 22, 2009. However, on the other hand it s not mentioned that this BIOS is not compatible with Win 7.

But the fact is that only Windows 7 doesn't is NOT supported on this laptop.

Windows 7 drivers are not out on Sat A110, but this does not mean that you couldn't install Win 7 on this device. Of course, you can install the Win 7 system, but Toshiba does not provide any Win 7 software for this series.

    Back to BIOS update:
In your case I would try not to update the BIOS if the laptop works properly.
Why? Because the update of the BIOS is still a technique sensitive and you could damage it the motherboard if something goes wrong during the update of the BIOS.

  • Updating BIOS for Equium A60-181

Hi, according to the toshiba site there is a new update of the BIOS for my laptop.
I was wondering is it worth the update, unfortunately, there is no information
provided regarding the bugfixes or improvements? Also can I use the
Windows update tool or use the bootable CD, it's just I'm not sure
flashing Windows XP, except if it is a procedure without normal fault?

    see you soon,

    Richard S.

    Hi Richard

Richard you have some problems with this device? If everything works properly I don't see a reason any BIOS update.

If you think that the update of the BIOS is necessary, you can try Windows based Bios update but please check the first Description of the Toshiba BIOS update before you continue.

    I welcome all 2.

You want to hear few answers on this issue.
    I have Toshiba Satellite X 205-s9349.
A few days ago, I Flash the bios to version 2.50
Now I see information that he is the ONLY bios for VISTA...
Cannot so I install XP on my laptop computer as what bios or he must downgrade before you install xp?

    Thanks for all replies.

    Hello

Yes, you can install Win XP on this laptop with Vista BIOS.
It might be possible that some features of the laptop do not work with Vista BIOS and therefore you could update the BIOS to the version of Win XP (if available) after Windows XP has been installed.

  • Tecra M5 - supported BIOS for Bitlocker in TPM mode

I have a Tecra M5 (PTM51E) running Vista Ultimate. I would like to configure Bitlocker with the TPM secure who is aboard. I am aware that you can use Bitlocker without a TPM, but it requires the user to have an external token for example on a USB key that they have to be inserted at boot time. I prefer to use the TPM mode there is no need of this.

I have flashed the BIOS to v3.60 which is the last. Before I was able to Flash the BIOS in Vista (which is the only option provided on the Toshiba's European support site) I found I was load drivers for 'VAT package', without that this BIOS update simply says "computer not supported." Another way to do it is get the BIOS for the PTM51U from the American site which allows you to write the BIOS update on a bootable floppy.

I used the "Bitlocker Drive preparation tool" which is available in "ultimate" Microsoft to set up the partitions as required by Bitlocker, i.e. my HDD 40 GB is divided into a primary to be encrypted (c) partition of 35.7 GB and 1.5 GB separate partition (s).

I have the driver v3.00.1135.00 "Trusted Platform Module", which is the last. After you activate the TPM secure in the BIOS (press and hold ESC when turn on/off and then press F1, second page) I can then go to the Infineon security platform Initialization Wizard and set the "owner of the platform" and other passwords etc.

The TPM Initialization Wizard automatically opens the Bitlocker setup application when it ends (or you can get to it any time thereafter through the control panel).

The message I get from the Bitlocker cmdlet is:

"Your system is not configured to use BitLocker Drive encryption. The BIOS did not correctly communicate with the Master Boot Record (MBR). Contact the computer manufacturer for BIOS upgrade instructions'.

Does anyone have this working on a M5 (i.e. Bitlocker with TPM)? How did you do?

    Thank you very much m.

    Hello

Please contact the nearest authorized service partner. They can help you upgrade the BIOS BIOS supports bitlocker, including the update for EC/KBC. I know it seems strange, but make sure that they can help you.

    Just call and ask.

    Dear,

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite M70-340 PSM70E.
Some tech guy has messed with my Bios, and now I can't boot from hard disk.

When im going into the Bios Configuration page, he can see the HARD drive. But at the start, he can't.
    Only on CD/DVD and diskette.

I need the Flash and Bios for dos.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I think that you will not get it from the Toshiba page and you would not be able to download this traditional version of BIOS.
As far as I know that you can download the version of the BIOS win and you can update the BIOS ONLY when the Windows operating system is running.

But maybe the Toshiba ASP in your country could be useful. I recommend you contact the guys to get more details and maybe the guys could provide this BIOS or maybe they would Flash the BIOS.

In my opinion only the ASP can help you.

Yes, that's right, and you can update the BIOS if you use XP.
