  To remove these name, you highlight (Type the first character and press the arrow down) the name falling down and press Delete on the keyboard, it will remove the name of the cache.

  If you want to remove / clear the entire list, you need to delete *.nk2 file in your C:\Documents and Settings\change

  I built a contact form for my website using a tutorial from Lynda.com on building UI elements.  The last step of this tutorial is to put all the elements together in a form of contact, but for some reason, that they have left behind the menu item drop-down, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to write this code.  The problem is that the menu is designed as a movieclip containing several other movieclips and actionscript (button, list, scrollbar, etc.). I can get it to trace the information selected with this code in the drop of movieclip:

  This is a general question to YOU, but since I work with FM, I'll try here first.

  I am able to create drop-down lists WITH and set/get the current selection, but I'm not clear on why he works in his own way. It seems that when I put the selection, he uses an index of current articles, but when I get to the selection, it gets the actual value.

  Nevermind, I got it. The property of 'selection' is actually a primitive ListItem, not only one type of data object I thought. For example, the default property of the ListItem is chosen differently in different scenarios. To clarify:

  dlg.dropDown.selection.index

  .. is the index

  dlg.dropDown.selection.text

  .. the text value is

  So I should use the complete property to be sure.
