  • What di I do it for My Google Search engine works because it does not yet all other seaches work?

I have reset Firefox. I get all recently warning of security windows on a BTRoot certificate is not invalid. Before that, I used Google since originally installing Firefox, now when I try a search, I get a problem with page load error. I have firefox on another computer and the same search goes along. I can also use any other search engine in your library, and they work fine as well. Why not google? Can I fix by accepting the certificate in windows?

Follow these steps, but the problem still exists. Eventually completely uninstall Firefox, restored my PC to a restore point prior to initial installation, and then reinstalled firefox. Now, everything works fine on my old windows XP computer and my Google search is ok. It has also eliminated my problem with a BRTRoot problem where I apparently had a fraudulent site interfering with Google.
    Thanks for your help.

  • I added Wikipedia and Wikivoyage to my search engine and the icons are not there. How can I add them?

In the search in the top right of my browser, I recently added Wikipedia and Wikivoyage as options, but the icons are not there. Instead, I have a blank white page instead of the icons. How can I fill them in?

This also happens on my laptop which is a Macbook Air, so it's not limited to the Windows 7 version of Firefox.

When there is no data icon in the XML file, then Firefox will be able to display such an icon.

  • Why the blue search bar and the text does not?

It started today, but I had this problem in the past before the last update of Firefox. Whenever I click on the search bar, it highlights with a blue background and no text shows. If I make a mistake, I can't see it.

Firefox did the time you updated and it crashed whenever I did anything. Your last update seems to have solved the chrashing, but the blue bar with NO text is back.

  • I cleaned the Bing FireFox and now have no. search engines and cannot install everything.

Got a crappy version of bing, used your cleaner reboot and now I have NO search engines and that you do not arrive within FireFox, the search selector is in any way and I have now NO search engine any.

  • I tried all of your corrections but after 2-3 reboots home past to the yahoo search engine - I'm fed up and let Firefox if no solution

I've followed all the patches on your chatline:
At different times, I turned off the graphics accelerator, I cut all add-ons, refreshed firefox, went in firefox safe mode, but even though firefox is returned to normal, after 2-3 restarts if he returned showing on my home page yahoo search engine. I have my own homepage written in HTML and use it on all my browsers for many years. I downloaded Firefox on the Mozilla site (twice) and have never downloaded from a Yahoo site sponsored. I never asked to have Yahoo as my search engine and do not want. I'm getting harder and more fed up with the situation, and if no permanent solution can be found, so I'll let Firefox (after many years of use). Please find a solution!

Thanks to all who offered a solution to my problem, but although some suggestions were given a temporary solution, the problem is back after a short time.
However, I think that I have now found the solution:
Although a spybot check did not find a problem, I searched "Files and folders" in the control panel and found 2 entries for 'the browser extensions' and 'search protection' of a company called "SPIGOT.COM".
I uninstalled both of these applications and it seems completely solved the problem, even after several reboots and cold starts.
I don't know who is this company, have never seen before and never knowingly downloaded something on their part or any partner site.
    So there you have it!
I hope this helps someone else with the same problem.
    Pete.

  • Apps disappeared and the laptop settings does not work

All my applications disappeared from Windows 8.1 in my user account, even if they are still there in the guest user account. I checked this forum and tried a lot of things that have been proposed by other users, but nothing has worked. I can't create a new account with administrator privileges, or refresh my laptop because the "change PC settings" does not work either. I already tried this: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/broken-change-pc-settings-link-windows-8-1

And I just get the message «Deployment failed [...]» the system cannot find the file specified. "

I think that this problem was caused by a virus, because it happened right after that my anti-virus kept warning repeatedly "threat detected". I followed the guidelines to remove malware etc.

    Hello

Please consult the complete steps and after trying them, try the steps mentioned in the article in your query:

Moreover, if that fails, you can try to create a new user account from the control panel and see if the laptop settings works on it.

Hope this helps, good luck :)

  • I had a few problems with the search engines and history

My default search warning back to Yahoo after a reset on my computer. Close Firefox keep one to change but by restarting the computer, it takes.

I can't open the sidebar history. The option "view the history of your" opens its tab fine (the drop-down menu that says 'Show History Sidebar', 'clear recent history... ("ect.). But, when you click on the "Show History Sidebar", nothing comes. Can I use the "Show history" option, but the sidebar does not open for some reason any.

I just finished with a complete analysis of the Microsoft Safety Scanner and it said not that there is anything wrong. I have not reset the computer again to see if something has changed although after the factory reset (see the 2nd paragraph) it seems returned to Yahoo (search engine he kept going to happen).

I open the history tab in the menu of the toolbar, and everything seems fine here. I also had him always use private off all first browsing mode. After activating the option clear history when Firefox closes, I ended up having to reset to factory settings (things he saves were saved isn't really a problem) that doesn't seem to fix the problem with the sidebar of history not to come.

  • How can I stop Firefox to redirect me to the Yahoo search engine

When I try to go to the official site for ATF Cleaner, Firefox redirects me to the Yahoo search engine.
I have removed all references to Yahoo in my registry and searched all the user for any reference to Yahoo profiles. I am running Firefox version 29.0.1 on Windows XP.

It is also possible that this problem is due to an add-on, maybe one who snuck on your system as part of a bundle.

In the case where one of your extensions is concerned, could test the page Firefox Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    Any difference?

The top of page 1 1/4 inch has no response when you click it. As in this page, sign in or register and other app does not work. in English

This problem can be caused by that extended the Yahoo! toolbar or extension of Babylon also well down and covers the top of the browser window and therefore links and buttons in this part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
