Yellow exclamation mark in device - Portege M100 Manager

After a recent reinstall of Windows last XP I downloaded all the drivers/software for my model (portege M100) but after installing that I still have a yellow exclamation mark under "other devices" which he said the a network controller.

I don't know what it is?

Under network adapters, I installed adapter 1394 OK
Device Bluetooth (personal area network) OK
device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) OK
Card WIRELESS Intel pro/100 ve. Ok

any ideas?

Thank you
Jason

Hello

What is with the wireless card Intel? This card is correctly installed? As far as I know, you must install Intel Wireless LAN Card Driver V.1.1.6.0.

Check it!

    Hello

Recently I formatted C: and installed XP Professional. But after installation, there are several problems.

First of all, in Device Manager, there are large yellow markings at the SM BUS controller, video controller (VGA Compatible).

    How can I solve them?

Secondly, when I scroll to the bottom of the sidebar screen to read or see some content down in a certain site, my screen is so sensitive and vague simultaneously with movement or the slamming of the scroll bar. It is associated with above features?

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite A60-S1591ST, XP pro with SP2

I do not know how to identify the model of motherboard

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The problem can be solved very quickly the yellow exclamation point appears in the Device Manager, because you didn't install the necessary drivers.

If you now ask for the driver ;) page Am I wrong?

Well, it's a Toshiba laptop that so I think ;)
    See this page:

Choose the Satellite A60-S1591ST and you should get all the drivers.

PS. thought I had a chipset intel on this dell c600.  went intel.com and ran an intel driver update utility program to find what I had drivers.  Results: Intel Chipset Software installation utility (Inf chipset) product detect: no current Version: None

  • The Device Manager has yellow exclamation on other devices.

The Device Manager has yellow exclamation on other devices. Peripheral unknown bus controller universal series (usb) 1) 2 SM bus controller) 3). No driver installed. No driver found on driver updates. Not causing no problem but I don't know what could be the devices.

Thia article gives some indications - http://techforcommoners.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/how-to-identify-unknown-devices-in.html its worth a read to see if it helps.

Basically, it starts by looking for the hardware id in Device Manager and it enter the PCIDatabase to see if it can find all matches. It is sometimes useful in such cases.

Another place to look is 'information system' (enter 'system info' (without the quotes) as the research) and look in there for pointers, esp in "components - peripheral problem."

  • My wireless printer has a yellow exclamation point in devices and printers. How to fix?

My printer (HP Photosmart c4500) wireless has a feature wireless and when I use my desktop pc (Win7 Ultimate - x 64) to connect it shows a yellow exclamation mark for troubleshooting. When I run the troubleshooting it will prompt you to install the last pilot and fails to do so. So I tried to download the software from the manufacturer and install the drivers in this way but unfortunately I have another error:

«Windows cannot install HP Photosmart C4500 print driver kernel mode series.»
To obtain a driver that is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using, contact the manufacturer. »

Although I have tested on a laptop nearby and had no problem.

  • I use a Belkin USB wireless adapter. In Device Manager, I see this same adapter listed several times... with a yellow exclamation mark over it. However, an entry for this card will not have any problems indicated and work well.

I think that whenever this USB adapter is removed and reinstalled, the system is seen as a new USB device.  However, if I try to uninstall the list in Device Manager showing a yellow exclamation point, the system will not... I get a message saying "Uninstall failed...". This device may be required for the system startup.
    Suggestion?

    Hello Fgibson1911,

Thank you for your message.  All of these entries stay after you restart your computer?  In addition, what happens when you search for new hardware?  Try this and let us know the result.
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
    Click on Device Manager.
Right click on "Network adapters", and select "search the hardware changes.
    The "Yellow!" entries disappear?
We can't wait to hear back on your part.
    See you soon

  • Satellite A100 good question - point yellow question mark in Device Manager

I have a Satellite A100, model PSAANC - 3605C. I reloaded Windows XP Professional on this subject recently, and now I am unable to get any sound (it worked before reloading). If I choose Start, accessories, entertainment, Volume, it tells me that there is no active mixers available. I tried to reload the chipset and different audio drivers, including the UAA driver, still no luck.

In addition, in my device manager I have a PCI device that shows as not available (point), and I'm unable to load a driver for him. What Miss me? How can I get my sound back?

    > I recently rebooted Windows XP Professional on this topic, and now I am unable to get any sound (it worked before reloading)

Hey mate I got exactly the same problem after installing Win XP.
    I could solve it.

I updated Windows XP to the State. I installed SP3 because this package contains the necessary corrective measures.

Important: The SP3 must be installed before the sound driver!
If you have installed the audio driver, you must first remove it! This can be done in Device Manager

I did it and it worked.

Yes, you can do it. When you start your laptop press F12, put the recovery media in the optical disc drive, choose the CD/DVD drive in the list and press ENTER. When the recovery procedure starts just follow the menu on the screen.

    * Recovery procedure will remove all data from the HARD drive. So, if you have some important data stored on the HARD drive please make backup before starting the recovery procedure.*
