Yellow LED light on router wrt320n for main wired computer. On 3 other machines,

a Wi - Fi wireless and 2, the LED on the front of the router remains blue.  The yellow light for this computer tells me "ATTENTION".  Am I wrong?  I use the built-in 10-100-1000 nic and when I put my cursor on the monitor of the clock icon it shows 1.0 Gbps.  Computer works fine, but the yellow light concerns me.  Thanks for any help.

If you found the yellow light, you will be connected with 1 Gbps and if you found the blue light, it will connect with 10/100
speeds. Therefore, do not follow the manual... can be mistakenly LED on the router is in yellow.

  • Router WRT320N to a wired BEFSX41 router connection problem

    Hello, I never thought it would be so difficult. I have problems to connect to a router (WRT320N) so it will be on the same network as my other cable firewall router (BEFSX41). The wireless router works fine because it connects to the internet via the BEFSX41 router. However, the two routers do not see each other and I can't connect two computers, a wired computer, the other laptop wireless to the same network.

    Wired BEFSX41 router uses 192.168.1.1 IP address and the router WRT320N wireless uses 192.168.0.1 IP address.

    Don't know what other information you need. I hope you can solve this problem for me.

    Thank you

    Mike

    For file sharing, it is always better to maintain the network in the same subnet... Connect the BEFSX41 on the Ethernet Port of the router WRT. (LAN-to-LAN connection)... Visit this link for that. If the IP address of the main router is 192.168.1.1 then, change the 2nd router's ip address is 192.168.1.2.

    Make sure that file and printer sharing is enabled... Also, make sure the computer are in the same workgroup...
    Default workgroup in Windows Vista has been renamed to WORKING group. In Windows XP, the default workgroup name is MSHOME...

    Hello

    Replace the key to WEP (wired equivalent privacy) security check and the settings of the router if you are able to connect. Follow the steps mentioned below.

    Change the WEP key in Vista:

    a. click the Start button.

    b. click Network in the right column in the start menu.

    c. click Network Center in the menu bar horizontally.

    d. click reorganize wireless networks.

    e. double-click the wireless network you want to change.

    Is he someone correct the problem with LED light for Wi - Fi on L40 - 14F?

    What do you think average is by any fix for the WLan light

    Are sure you that you have enabled the WLan switch on the side of the laptop?
    Only this switch controls the WLan light!

    If the WLAN led does not illuminate after that you have activated the WLan switch there is something wrong with the hardware.

    then if there is something wrong with the hardware of notebooks is needed the help of ASP.

  • Router bad for my needs

    I think I left a pretty advertising convince me to buy a product that is not suitable for my needs. I hope someone here can shed some light on this for me as I'm new to the home wireless network.

    I have a box of Ubuntu (8.04) wired to a modem cable; I set it up as a dual-boot machine so that I can get to Windows XP Professional if necessary.
    I have also a laptop Dell under Ubuntu I use it especially when I'm on the road for work on the email, or for forcing me to the remote access connection is my work computer (Windows Remote Desktop; I run IE6 in a shell of wine) or my computer at home (whether through VNC viewer or "UltraVNC" under XP).
    I also, in my "spare" time, do some computer repairs coffee table for friends and co-workers.

    Here's what I would do:
    I would like to be able to have a switch or a router that would allow me to have the ability to keep my main box Ubuntu/XP connected directly on an internet connection "always on."
    I would also like to be able to have the laptop hooked up to a connection "always on", but I don't know that it's a show-stopper if I have to jump some hoops when I want to connect it.
    I would also like to have a port available to connect to the internet with any random computer I find myself working on.
    Finally, I would like to be able to use the card on the lappy's wireless to connect to a network in my house without the need for a dedicated thread.

    That being said... I did a few quick searches (* too * fast it seems!), and it looked as if the WRT54GL would do everything that I need.
    So... being new in the world of wireless home network, I made sure to carefully follow each step on the CD (XP)... and everything went well for a while...

    But, every few hours, the internet connection will just go away. By that, I mean... the status of internet light is green, so I guess that the router can see the internet, and the lights on the two connected computers (portable and desktop) are green, so I guess that means that the router can also see computers. But neither machine can connect to the internet at all. ifconfig returns 192.168.101, so that the router is visible to the computer, it seems just that the router is not allowing to each machine, on one of the 4 ports, see the internet.
    Now, this occurs after the connection has worked very well for hours.
    The fix for this seems to be one of two things... Either I cycle the power on the router, then I need to refresh the list of devices on the computers (or select "repair network" on the XP machine).
    The alternative is to go to the configuration of the web browser and select "Release DHCP" and then "Renewing DHCP", which is fine, I wish only that it has been documented somewhere to do this it would have saved me several hours of work to understand.
    A lady 'live support' had me to Flash the firmware in response to my question about this, the following was told to "watch carefully", whatever that means. She couldn't explain it further.
    But after that, the connection works again for several hours in a row, then it will disappear all simply once again.
    Now - in addition to this, here is the part that makes me think that I have chosen the right product... I am is no longer capable of connection of remote access to my computer at home using the IP, as reported by ifconfig (which has always worked in the past) or subdomain name, I've implemented with DynDNS (which also worked) of any machine to everything, including the XP box that I use in my office at work (who has always worked in the past.)
    After spending countless hours just trying to get this router to perform because I thought it would, I have yet to try to venture into the side of things wireless. If a wired switch - this befuddling, so I can only imagine what a nightmare it will be to get the wireless side to work.

    I guess the bottom line is this: I unplugged the router and plugged the main engine directly into the cable modem, and everything works as it should.
    Can anyone recommend a good, reliable and always on router that will allow me to connect up to three computers simultaneously without having to go through hoops at a port?
    And to be honest, I'm not really interested in the wireless; the restaurant down the street allows me to connect very easily if I put my lappy near the living room window

    Thanks in advance.

    (edit - the formatting of this post was horrible... I added HTML line breaks and it's much better now!)

    Unable to find good answers from live support or my repeated e-mails asking when the mysterious 'fixed' firmware, I turned to the internet for all the suggestions...

    I downloaded and installed the "DD - WRT" firmware, and for three days straight, I did not have a problem with my WRT54GL.  It allows me to connect, * stays * connected, I cannot remote connection without any problems, and the wireless was working immediately.

    I think that linksys should take note... I don't know if it's the ultimate solution, but it seems well have solved the problems that linksys has not been able to fix for me at all.

  • VPN no LED light on 891 new routers

    I have just four new C891 routers and configured them to double simultaneous GRE - over - IPSec tunnels each, and although the tunnels seem to be upward, encryption and routing the data very well, the VPN light on the front panel of the unit is off.

    I use two secondary port WAN Gigabit0 interfaces, since my two tunnels the C891 WILL go to two physical sites completely different (each with a 3845 router), one for a voice VLAN and one for a local VIRTUAL data network. I do not use the public Internet, but rather a private WAN microwave as my return, and the need of subinterfaces was motivated by the fact that there are two completely different numbered IP networks for interfaces the 3845 each connect to the WWAN, which the C891 wouldn't let me run tunneling IPSec from an ip address 'secondary '.

    I suspect that the reason why the LED lights is because there is not on the interface itself, but on the subinterfaces rather crypto and different encryption card on each subinterface.  Is there something I can do to force the LED to light?

    Maybe it's this bug?  CSCsv01869

    Some of the fundamental things include the pram/clock battery replacement

    since they may be dead; then with a power failure, sometimes the Mac

    do not restart. Usual power management unit & reset NVRAM/PRAM are

    methods that sometimes also used as a troubleshooting measure.

    • Reset the Mac chip power management: (see SMU)

    http://www.thexlab.com/FAQs/resetpmchip.html

    • How to reset NVRAM-LANDAU on your Mac - Apple Support

    A hard reset can sometimes be used, where the power is disconnected

    the logic board and power removed from grill; Then push the Start button / stop.

    (But maybe not. Several PowerMac computers, I had, some people found this helpful)

    You may also remove and reposition cards and other items

    the inside of the case, to be sure they are connected properly. Be sure to not

    In short anything, due to the static load or residual power in the circuits.

    The hour is late here, so I'm not going offline; If all goes well a battery original or novel, etc.

    can help to put it on again. Also sometimes the power supply has some faulty fans,

    circuits or capacitors, so they can be troublesome to repair or replace.

    Good luck in this case!

  • HPPhoenixctrl: WANT to series PHOENIX - LED lighting control Solution

    I'm new to the forum and just got my new PHOENIX envy 860 - 180st, personalized with the following text:

    Windows Pro 64-bit 10

    Intel core i7-6700 4.0 GHz

    16 GB OF RAM

    512 GB SSD

    GeForce GTX 960 2GB

    No secondary drive (I store all the data on a NAS)

    Several Web pages featuring LED façade lighting, I understood that the 860 series provided a method to customize these lights.  I also believe I read that the 850 series could only turn.  However, I can not locate ANY documentation regarding the LED lights.  After hours of searching online, I only now have an interest to stop and reduce my electricity bill.  HP not me was not impressed by this "feature" negotiable.

    There is an application called HP Phoenix lighting (or LED) control which is used to control the LEDS.

    I found it in an old net while browsing through the subject.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-operating-systems-and-recovery/missing-software-HP-envy-Phoenix-850se/m-p/5146673/highlight/true#M111153

    Check in the Control Panel, or type it in the search box on the systray next to the symbol for Windows. There could even be an icon that represents the control of lighting in the systray. My last HP 15 Omen product loan had an app called HP Omen Control, which allowed for control of groups of the backlight on the keyboard. She allowed the owner to make changes to custom groups of key color.

    If she needs relocation, then it must be done in the HP Recovery Manager. See reinstalling software and applications to the HP Recovery Manager.

    @NewEnvyOwner

    Try the following softpaq. It's called the HP utility control of Phoenix.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp71501-72000/sp71672.exe

    BTW, the HP representative, that you talked to was wrong. The softpaq were found in the download of the 850 self-service portal want to Phoenix by HP Expert @Dragon-fur.

  • Loading stops at 97% battery NB500-108, led light never turns green

    I have a mini laptop, NB500-108, running Windows 7, and he never had a battery up to present problems.
    For some reason, battery stopped at 99%, 98% and now to 97% of the load.
    Tray icon says "plugged in, load" but it never reached 100%.

    In addition, the led light never changes from orange to green, as he used to do before.
    It's annoying because I don't see if battery is fully charged when the machine is off.

    I have already tried many suggestions to recalibrate the battery:
    1 flashing BIOS;
    2. compatible control ACPI method to uninstall or disable Microsoft in Device Manager;
    3. full release / full load;
    4 discharge half / full load;
    5 removed the battery and the power button down for 10, 20 or 30 seconds...;
    6. system restore;
    7. same beahaviour with a live Linux pen.

    None of this has worked. Any comment on this, Toshiba Support?
    Thank you in advance.

    Toshiba support? He is a man of user forum, you will get some comments from members of the community ;)

    I think it could be a faulty battery since the lithium batteries would begin to lose own performance after his indictment for 400 - 500 times, I suppose that your battery is affected it s just a theory, but I think it is to test a new game

  • Satellite A300-1NO - webcam does not work, but the LED lights

    Hello!

    I have a laptop Satellite A300-1NO, with Win 7 installed. My problem is that my webcam does not work always, when I want to use it. Sometimes, it works perfectly in Skype, WLM etc... but sometimes I see a white or a black screen with a 'loading circle' in there. Blue is the LED light, I can see it in Device Manager too, but there is no picture, just 'loading '. I tried to uninstall the driver and then reinstall it, I installed the new "camera Assistant for Toshiba", without success.

    Is there any solution for this?

    > Is there any solution for this?
    I put t think there is solution for this. If I understand you right there is a problem with software pre-installed. It is not easy to say why this is happening.

    I have Satellite A300 too and use it with Win7 32 bit. Webcam works fine all the time.

    One more thing: have you noticed this problem in the first moments after installing Win7 or later?
    Have you installed something that may be the reason for this?

    It's like, normally, when you press the mute, the light will be switched on or off.
    However, this is no answers when I press on it.

    I can only turn lighting on or off using Toshiba help.

    Also when I press the "play" button, the windows media player has no more answers.

    So is it a solution? Or drivers?
    Thanks for the reply.

    Hello

    I think that these buttons don t work properly due to the Vista Ultimate.
    I checked some threads here and it seems that the PPV that controls this Toshiba buttons don t support the ultimate or the ultimate doesn't fully support the VAP.

    But just a question;
    Did you check the Toshiba Assist-> Optimize-> Toshiba button Support?
    This tool allows you to configure the buttons. Maybe you should check this.

  • BACKFLIP: Where is... Led notification and Alerts notification for Facebook/MySpace?

    I have a few questions. My first question is, I have a lot of apps that say they can warn my by LED light. I put it to inform me, but when I get a text or message twitter the led lights. The circle of the speaker a light? If so is there a setting I have to go to?

    My second question is, are there not facebook and Myspace apps which will inform you actually when you receive something. (message, friend request). I have not a single notification since Ive had the apps.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    1. the phone has not built in LED indicator. The circle you are referring is the light sensor. It is the sensor that helps auto adjusts the screen backlight according to surrounding it.

    2. for FB and Myspace notifications, you have two options: a) check your settings online within the FB and Myspace on PC site and allow notifications no longer pushed to your email or text or b) download the official FB and Myspace application on the market. These applications have built in notifications. I suggest you go with option A as option B consumes more battery. It is preferable that you play with the first two methods to find which suits you best.

    Please provide solution step by step for the specified model.

    Given that support HP just told us to download the new BIOS and (of course), it does not work, I think I have to answer my own question.

    HOW TO DISABLE F5 FOR DUMMIES

    After you download and update your BIOS from HP website (I used HP assistand on my PC), turn off your computer. Then start your computer and immediately press and hold the ESC and F10 keys. Here you can DISABLE F5 LIGHT MANUELLEMENT.

    Simply download the new BIOS and restart your PC do NOT work against the advice of the HP people.
