Yoga 12 (Win 10): Built-in Microphone "not connected".

Hello world

I bought my ThinkPad Yoga 12 just a month ago, upgrades to Windows 10 after a few days. Everything worked well, including speakers and a microphone. Skype has worked well.

Yesterday, I tried to use Skype but my microphone does not work. I found that no microphone even was to be found in the settings.

Naturally, I reinstalled the audio driver. Now, there is at least one symbol "Built-in Microphone", but is not connected. Cannot be connected. Troubleshooting tells connect me and external microphone.

I did both disabled and disconnected devices visible in the menu.

Anyone knows what is the problem with my microphone and has an idea how to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

Kai

PS: Send return is out of the question that I am currently working in Cambodia.

Hi ktb, welcome to the forum.

It seems that some MS Patch Tuesday 'Updated' your Win 10 install.

Try this solution:

On a Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook, running Windows 7 ultimate (downgraded from Windows 8).

The system is not just see the microphones.  On the windows volume control options/recording devices, nothing comes up.  Even on Dell Audio / microphone and Skype microphone.  Can any ideas on how I fix? I tried to download all the drivers on the DELL site using detection of automatic service tag and system DELL detect to find missing drivers, but some chipset drivers listed lead to a blank page without downloading anything.

Go back to the recording of the sound Properties tab (right click the audio icon, and select recording devices), and then click the blank white box, right-click and select devices see off, then do it again and select this option to show disconnected devices.

If the microphone shows always then go to the Read tab and see if the word 'Realtek' is under speakers. If this isn't the case, then the Realtek driver is not installed.

If the driver is there and is still no microphone so it could be faulty. The microphone was working at all with Win 8?

  • Tecra Z50-A-181-built in microphone not working/not found

    Hello!

I recently bought for laptop Toshiba Tecra Z50-A-181 supplied with Windows 7 64 bit (have 8.1, too but never installed it).

Anyway, once I started using it, I discovered that the microphone is not functional or not recognized at all.
So, what happens is that, once that I plug my headphones into the audio handset Jack / micro, whoever I'm talking (on Skype, for example) to stop to hear me (and my camera is on).

I tried several things mentioned in other topics, however, the problem does not turn off. In addition, there is no driver for the camera or the bed at the microphone, or whatever.

In Device Manager there is no extra, unrecognized device and in sound recording options /, no other microphone to use appears.

I will appreciate if someone can help.
    Thank you in advance!

You have a problem using an external microphone?
Your laptop is preinstalled with original image of recovery for all the necessary drivers must be installed.

You can use internal mic? It should be listed under recording devices.

  • Built-in microphone not detected in Windows 7

    Hi all!

I'm having this problem since I installed Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5715z. Right after the installation of the internal microphone has stopped working. First I thought it would be a driver problem, but did not find the specific driver for windows 7 on the ACER Web page.
I did fi the issue for a while now, but yesterday I re - install Windows 7 and the problem was still there.
I decided today to find an answer to it. I saw that many users Acer have suffered.
I went through the Panel--> sound--> recording--> see off / disconnected devices it does not work.
I ran the windows troubleshooting and nothing happened.
I went to the Device Manager and in his checked for changes on the hardware. The only item listed here is "high definition audio device" which according to me is not the microphone internal (I think this is supposed to be realtek?). In any case, I uninstall and reinstall and search for the latest drivers.
I ran the microsoft fixit, but nothing is happening.
I'm out of ideas. Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thank you very much

I could solve it by downloading and reinstalling the realtek drivers

    Hi Goldie,

Right click on the speaker in the taskbar, ranging from recording devices, make sure that you only have one option of microphone, it would be the first step, if you got more than 1, try right click on them and "default setting" for each of them to see if it works.

    Hope this helps,

  • Satellite C650-010 - built in microphone does not

built in microphone does not work after three weeks. I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software, but nothing helped. -Webcam with external microphone works well.

Yesterday, Mike worked for ten minutes, but then cut again.

    Hey,.

    > I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software
What driver software that you have installed?
The microphone belongs to internal webcam, so you need to reinstall the driver for the webcam if internal microphone doesn t work properly.

    > but then cut again.
Is that mean that the internal MIC is silent? Please check that the windows audio settings if the microphone is classified correctly recorders and set as default device.

  • Built in microphone does not work on my Tecra A9

    I have a Tecra A9 PTS52A-OEYO3F

My operating system is XP Professional.

I'm trying to set up a Skype account without having to buy a plug in microphone. I think that my Tecra A9 has a built in microphone. When I test the equipment via the control panel / sounds and Audio devices / voice / hardware test, an error message indicates that my voice could not be detected. Also, a similar Skype test revealed that my voice could not be detected.

The user manual on page 4-23, under the heading level Microphone sets out the process to change the logging level. Step 1 requires a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar to reveal devices of recording on the submenu. When I perform the right click of the "speaker" of the menu has revealed icon includes "Open Volume Control" and "Adjust Audio properties". There is no option of "Recording devices" where only the instructions in the manual do not apply.

I'm not convinced that I have a microphone, and if I do then why it is not working.

    Thank you

If your Tecra has a build-in webcam so he must have mic too.

  • Windows XP and built-in microphone does not work

I had reviewed similar topics, but I couldn't find a clear solution.

My laptop is XP and has a built-in microphone.  I tried Skype and the microphone does not work.  It was not used in the past2 or 3 years, but it has been running at the same time.  Use Audacity for school work.  Can't do the part of speech recognition because I'm working with Office 2007 as it says XP and Office 2007 do not work.

Any ideas to fix or am I destined for an external mic?  or would that even work?

    MB

With respect to the built-in microphone, you may need to reinstall the audio drivers from the manufacturers Web site.

As far as the webcam goes, as long as its compatible I guess it will work fine.

Malware or virus infections can have harmful effects on a computer, even if they have been deleted. The only sure way to never remove infections from virus or malware is to reinstall Windows.

  • Latitude E6400 built-in Microphone does not

Hello. My machine is a Latitude E6400 running Windows 7 34 bit.

I bought used recently and found that the microphone (which, according to specifications must be built in) does not work.

I tried to check it is not cut, as well as turn the off/on it again. It is said it is active, but (in the recording devices), there is no upward movement/green line to show that is to record my voice. Setting up the microphone via the Control Panel does not work either.

I tried to install the Audio drivers from Dell, but it comes up with the following message is displayed:

"The hardware found is not supported by this package IDT.

The installation will be interrupted. »

I tried everything I can think of. Someone at - it other ideas on how to fix my microphone?

microphone (which should be built according to specifications)

I might have missed, but the single microphone that I see in the documentation of this model is in the assembly of the webcam at the top of the frame of the screen. The webcam has been a purchase option on this model. The webcam itself work? Because if it's not then either it is not or does not, and in both cases, the microphone does not work. If you have a program named Dell Webcam Central in your list of programs, then use it to control the webcam.

Even if the webcam works the microphone could become defective. You can get a replacement webcam people-parts.

You can also check in the BIOS. I don't know about your model, but some laptops have a mic option in the BIOS.

I tried to install the Audio drivers from Dell, but it comes up with the following message is displayed:

"The hardware found is not supported by this package IDT.

Go to this page and you can see all the drivers for Dell just introduced for the E6400.

    http://downloads.Dell.com/published/pages/latitude-E6400.html

Try all the audio drivers Windows 7 IDT. If none work there is another problem with the laptop and I would suggest running a System Recovery if the seller has provided the recovery media, or if the recovery image is still on the hard drive. If you are able to perform a system restore and the microphone still does not work, then it is either missing or failed.

    Hello

After you update/install, you also need to install the latest version of the software/drivers for this operating system.

  • Re: Satellite A300-15F - XP's built-in microphone does not work

I downgraded from VISTA to XP on my new A300-15E.
Everything is normal except for the built-in microphone.

There is only a driver for webcam on the Web site.
Do I need a driver for the microphone?

    Hello

In my opinion, you must also install the webcam software because there is a link between the internal mic and the webcam.
But usually, the microphone is controlled by the audio driver and you should also check the microphone settings in

    Panel-> sounds & audio devices-> tab volume-> advanced-> control volume mic-> Advanced button

  • I want to use Siri on my Mac Pro 2013, but there is no built-in microphone.

Great so Siri is now activated on your desktop with Sierra. How can I add an Apple flagship computer microphone, the 2013 Pro Mac in a cost-effective manner? It's not even a microphone jack! Help, please!

Is your Mac has a headphone jack? Then try an Apple headset with a built-in microphone.

I'm seeing this in the specification tecniques for Mac Pro: http://www.apple.com/mac-pro/specs/

Audio combined optical digital output/analog line in mini-jack

headphone 3.5 mm with headset stand

The Headphone Jack would connect Apple headphones.

Or use any bargain price USB microphone for speech input.
