  My current Android app downloads a set of images from the internet and unzip about 300 images for internal use.

  In my tests, I noticed that all those images are displayed in the file browser (images tab), making it very difficult to find a specific image to attach to an email (pending). Is it possible to prevent this?

  I finally found a working solution. Instead of recovering a public directory, using Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory (), I ask a storage private with Context.getFilesDir (), which returns a directory where the files are created with mode MODE_PRIVATE: "file creation mode: the default mode, where the created file is accessible only by the calling application (or all applications sharing the same user ID)". ""

  The directory looks like in ' / data/data/package.name/files ' and is not accessible by other applications or the file browser as far as I KNOW.

  I don't know if we implement this. Sharing of all the tabs you have open have many security and privacy issues. Someone forget that they had a tab open, they didn't want to share or miss-clicks on the sharing of all the option.

  We are looking for ways to better share tabs with devices that are located nearby. Especially if they are on the same WiFi network.

  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

  Hi jirothankyou, that sounds like an add-on, installed itself without your consent. You can try to remove the Add-ons that might be problematic since the Add-ons Manager. The process is explained here. If this does not work, or that you have never installed add-ons, or you want to have a quick fix: just to reset Firefox. This will remove all the Add-ons and put Firefox by default, but it will keep your history, bookmarks, passwords etc. Here is a description of how to do it: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.

  CTRL + W closes a tab at a time. It also closes a window if there is only one tab open in this browser.

  I'm streaming Pandora in A tab in my new browser IE 8 on my new Sony Vaio Windows 7 machine.  Whenever I click on a link in another tab, there is a slight stutter in the Pandora streaming.  Is there a way to fix this?
