You can improve the macbook pro 15 inch 2015 logic board

I am the proud owner of a macbook pro mid 2015, 15-inch retina display 2.2 Ghz i7 (integrated graphics).

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade dedicated to one with the graphics card logic board or is there a compatibility issue?

I know that the macbook pro with dedicated graphics card is the same size and all that one that I have so I was wondering if the logic boards are the same size.

I hope this isn't a stupid question.

I'm sorry. After the purchase, upgrade of the internal components is not possible.

If you wish, you can sell the Mac you have and buy another Mac with the specifications you want.

  • Update of the Macbook Pro 13 inch i7 (mid-2012) worm.

    Dear Apple community

    Greetings,

I would like to know your opinion about the upgrade to the Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) i7 2.9 worm. by the following:

    1. replace the stock HARD 750 GB to a Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1 TB drive in the link below

    cm_cr_pr_product_top http://www.Amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-am/DP/B00OAJ412U/Ref=? ie = UTF8

    2. replace the stock RAM memory which is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in the link below

    http://www.Amazon.com/crucial-DDR3L-1600-PC3-12800-CT2K8G3S160BM-CT2C8G3S160BM/d p/B008LTBJFW/ref = sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1450...

I know that apple says that 8GB is the maximum RAM.

is it OK to do? ? (System and stability not wise not hardware wise)

will I have problems with the system after the upgrade? ?

I had done a lot of research about this, but am not sure yet.

    your help is highly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

I would avoid the Samsung SSD.  If you analyze these forums, many users have experienced difficulties with the Samsung SSD.  (Some are not)  Note that Samsung is unable to talk about Mac compatibility on their web site.  I think what to say.

I can recommend Crucial SSD based on my experience in the installation of three of them in my Mbps.   OWC SSDS have an excellent reputation.

I support the Crucial RAM.  I have 16 GB of Crucial RAM installed in two of my Mbps.  16 GB of RAM should present no problems for your MBP.  OWC is also a great salesman of RAM Mac compatible.

    Ciao.

  • is it possible to improve the Macbook Pro early 2011 2 GB + 2 GB to 8 GB + 2 GB RAM?

Hi, I am currently using Macbook Pro 13 inch early 2011 (2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB) and it feels really slow to run several design takes the same time, so I think it's maybe a good time to upgrade it's RAM. My friend gave me a piece of 8 GB RAM Corsair DDR3 1333 Mhz 1 x 204 pins SODIMM. Is it possible to replace one of my RAM with it?

I would not use the Corsair - you may want to OWC or critical

and technically - this MBP can go up to 16 GB

Details: 4 GB of RAM is installed as two modules of 2 GB, not free slots.

    * Apple officially supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM, but as first confirmed by the sponsor of the OWC site, this model is actually able to use up to 16 GB of RAM with two modules of memory of 8 GB.

In the United States (and many other countries), the sponsor of the site, Other World Computing sells memory - along with other improvements - This MacBook Pro.

In the United Kingdom, the Flexx site sponsor sells memory and other improvements for This MacBook Pro.

In Australia, sponsor of the RamCity site sells memory and other improvements for this MacBook Pro.

In Southeast Asia, sponsor of the SimplyMac.sg site sells memory and other improvements for this MacBook Pro.

I have the 128 GB of Macbook Pro retina early 2015 model. I bought my macbook, the year last January 2015. I am just now having problem with my mac. When I'm trying to boot my laptop it shows the flashing question mark and it does not start after that. For a while it worked, but after the update the laptop is never again.

After reading all the articles related to this issue and even after trying it the entire process for the departure of mac. I'm not able to start.

I tried all the normal recovery process in the process of recovery of the internet, but still it does not work for me. When I select the disk utility in the dialog box, the drive does not appear here, so I can't erase and start to reinstall the operating system.

What should I do now? I was looking for OEM SSD, but it's very expensive. with this prize money of (here in INDIA RS - 50 k) I can get the Macbook Air.

If please guide me on how to start the mac or what do I do next?

    Thank you.

    Frank Bsu

We have no way of knowing exactly what you have tried that doesn't work unless you tell us. A flashing question mark boot means that your Mac is unable to locate a startup disk to boot from.

If you haven't tried... start your Mac holding the key Option. That should launch the boot window manager have been, you can select the startup disk, and then click on restart.

If this does not help, you will need to take the Mac for the service.

I just bought a MacBook Pro of the retina (100% Brand new) as my first product Mac and I love it! I want to keep this laptop for as long as I can especially for the price I paid for it. Battery is my number one concern, and I want to keep the health of the battery as healthy as possible.

    Here are my questions:

If accidentally you unplug the charger and plug it back immediately, this indictment as a load sprays? What defines a cycle?

Is it safe to use your laptop while he's in charge?

Modern battery of Macbook didn't need to be calibrated.

You can use your Mac while being charged.

I use app battery of nuts of coconut, but not necessary.

  • Connecting the drive on Macbook Pro 15 inch 2015

    Good morning guys,

I have a Macbook Pro 2015 15 inches. I hear that its SSD have PCI-e connection. But when I checked in disk utility, I see that the connection is PCI not PCI-e

    What wrong with my Macbook?

Please answer me. Thank you very much.

Nothing. PCI is the form of connection. The 'e' means simply 'expanded' referring to the type of bus support. Information system lists only PCI.

  • Reliability of the macbook pro 13-inch retina

So I bought recently a 2015 macbook pro retina 13inch w from best buy. Ive heard nothing else nothing but great things about these machines and it reliability is pretty good, especially from what consumer reports said.

So my questions, yes I know its how you take care of it and other things, but how long I would be able to see out of him? I bought applecare for the 3 years to have the kind of peace of mind, if something goes wrong.

But I am a student I am on that for probably 8 hours a day, do not do stuff very heavy but don't like to play a few games on it from steam nothing really big or anything like that, and then I want to edit videos. Editing and games is probably once or twice a week especially just web browsing and school documents

I'm just a little paranoid, because I came from a dell inspiron 14r who crashed after 2 years later and I never really have a lot of video editing (fact 4, 5 min videos lol) on it and not play games. I have just web browsing, and it was nothing but a fight with problems.

I just want bad use it much and do much more things on it like ediitng videos, games and just curious to know how well it will hold up to?

But with the applecare as long as I don't spill something on it or drop it, they cover everything other then the battery from what ive read

Some 2007 models that still work as web browsers.  My 2011 MBP works always, strong but unlikely if do heavy software development I would get a new system for the best processor.

Don't be surprised that your system is "officially obsolete" (comes five years after the particular model is officially replaced) before it stops working.

  • What happens if my macbook pro 15 inch 2015 memory consumed all of the 16 GB of memory?

My 15 2015 inches 2.5 GHz os x el capitan macbook pro i7 is about to consume all the 16 GB of memory, cache takes 10 GB while the ram is in 3. something Go, what will happen if he consumed all the 16 GB of memory. My mac auto deletes cached data or (sharp RAM) memory when they are volatile or do I have to do it manually? I know by removing all the help cant cache I can get in trouble it's why I don't want to remove it manually? Please answer me terrified right now im like his food to the top of my RAM. What to do or leave this thing on my mac? Thanks a lot for your kind answers in advance.

The operating system is responsible for the allocation of RAM.  Nothing bad will happen.  The worst case, it is that treatment will be slowed down a bit.  Relax and use your MBP.

  • MacBook Pro 13 inch 2015 overheating new

Hey everyone, I have this problem with my Macbook Pro.

I had the Mac for 7 months, but since I bought it I had overheating problems.

    Data sheet:

    Intel Core i5 2.7 GHz

    256 GB SSD

    8 GB Ram

    Intel Iris 6100 GPU

The problem is noticeable when you play (i.e. Limbo) and even using iMovie. The fans make such a noise and I almost burned my fingers typing, once! MacBook Pro are hot? He should get a little hot when doing some intensive hard work but not that! I left a 4-year-old i3, laptop HD 4000 who could handle any task not performing or heating problems. A brand new computer (which I don't use that much) with the best record must manage much better work.

What I can do, or should I get the service? (I also bought insurance for 3 years)

Reset the SMC. Choose the method for "on Mac Laptops with non-removable battery.

  • MacBook Pro 13,3 "retina Logic Board failure?

I bought my MacBook Pro 13,3 "Retina display nine in early 2014 before going to College.  This is the most expensive item that I have ever owned I always made sure to take the greatest care in the use and handling.  About a week ago, I went to turn it on and a prohibitive symbol appeared on the screen (a white circle with a slash) and after that, it was completely cut off.  I took it to a (MicroCenter) renamed repair store and they said it was a failure of the logic board and would cost nearly $700 to fix.  Everyone knows this Council logical fault problem?

I am extremely disappointed by Apple because I thought of them as the cream of the cream with advanced technology "State-of-the-art".  I expect this device to last until the end of my academic career to a minimum and the fact that it's broken in less than two years is absolutely unacceptable. I did some googling and I saw a trial about the logic board failures in 15 '' MacBook Apple of 2011-13 and had published a complementary repair program.  I hope they do the same with my case.

Again, someone else has their logic board fail randomly?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Apple Support communities

Sorry to hear that. I suggest you take a look at the forums of MacBook Pro to find cases similar to yours and check if there is a systemic problem or if you just had bad luck. Obviously it will not be a legal action if this problem is reduced to a few users, but there's a chance if this is stated as a failure of the design.

About your problem, it looks more like a problem of flash storage rather than a failure of the logic board, but retina MacBooks Pro have most of their parts soldered to the logic board, so, any repair is quite expensive. Finally, if you live in a European country, remember that your Mac has got a 2-year statutory warranty, then you may qualify for a free repair.

  • Update of the Macbook Pro 13 inch mid 2012

    Hello...

I im experiencing some major performance issues on my Mac Book Pro 13 mid 2012 thumb and would really like to move to 16 GB of memory Ram and an SSD.

That someone has or has had experience with the mise a niveau of this model... or the upgrade in general and running on some issues.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Best

Assuming that it is a model identifier 9.2, it will accept the 16 GB of RAM and an SSD will improve its overall performance.  The best sources for RAM compatible Macs are OWC and Crucial.  Based on reputation and personal experience, OWC and Crucial get my nod for SSDS as well.

You will need to decide if the higher cost for one SSD worth it. compared to a classic HARD disk if the bank account is fat, do.  I have.

    Ciao.

  • Thunderbolt port works is not on the MacBook Pro 15 "mid-2015 retina

First of all, my specs: mid-2015 MB Pro retina 15 "(11.5), i7 at 2.5 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB HD, Iris Intel & AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics"

A week ago, I noticed that the thunderbolt the closest port to the MagSafe port does not work, but the other port thunderbolt works as it should with all devices I'm trying. I already tried a SMC and PRAM reset without success and there is no update available software. I bought the new Apple computer in September, so I should be still under warranty. Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

I noticed that the thunderbolt the closest port to the MagSafe port does not work

    How did you determine that?

  • Import of the FIRST rows using ACR - you can change the dpi?

When you import using ACR Nikon RAW files, it matters to them at 240dpi.

It is editable for import at 300 dpi, which seems the norm?

Also, where can I find the latest version of ACR for the Nikon D90?

    Thanks in advance.

    Graham

Easily changed.  Click the small link at the bottom in the center of the Camera Raw dialog box.  Here you can choose the value of pixels/inch, as well as several other important parameters.  Once you finish a conversion or press [done] the parameter will stick.

The latest updates of Camera Raw and Photoshop can be found here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=39&platform=Windows

You can upgrade to the latest version of Camera Raw that goes with your version of Photoshop.  In other words, locate your version of Photoshop in the list, and then sweep upward to the updated Camera Raw you can put in.

Check the product ReadMe files for which versions are supported cameras.

  • 15 "Macbook Pro (end of 2015) vs may 2015?

Simple question, but which I'm having trouble nailing down a simple answer. I saw the may 2015 broadcast at different points of sale for $1799. Same i7 to 2.2 GHz, same GPU, memory, even 256 G SSD.

Which later have over its predecessor?

I'm pretty sure that the Macbook Pro 15 "may 2015 is the latest version.

All are looking forward to the next version which was originally spread by end of 2015, but now the rumor is April or may or June or who knows.
