I just purchased a HP OfficeJet 8500 a and love it!  I was told that you can print in gray scale or black and white instead of using the color all the time.  How do I do that?  I know how to change from color to black and white in the digitization, but what about printing.  It can be disabled.  I make a download each month, about 800 and do not want to use my color ink.  Want it in black and white.

For a permanent change to any setting of the driver for all your print jobs, you can go to your printer driver, mine is here (Win 7):
Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and printers
Once you go there, right-click on your printer, select Printing Preferences > click the Advanced button > choose printing in grayscale setting required. You can make other settings there as well.
These settings should stay with all the print jobs you send to the printer.

You cannot print a map with GPS coordinates of the map module in Lightroom because it is a part of the metadeta. So, the best way is to take a screenshot of the same thing.

When you print maps with directions from Google Maps, I can print only part of the directions.
 
			 
When I select print in Google maps and printing, the first page is the card belongs to the second page of directions and the third page is empty. I tried in Safari and it does not happen here - the map and directions of how printing which should. This began to happen in Firefox about two weeks ago. I tried to adjust the print settings in Firefox and I have also reset the print settings in topic: config. So far, nothing has worked. Unfortunately, Google has changed the layout of the page. He added a style rule to the list of instructions that 47 of Firefox are not pages, or in other words, Firefox keeps the direction together as a block list so that you can print as many this block gives on one page. The only way to work around this problem now is to 'hack' the page to override to this rule. If all goes well it will be fixed in a next version of Firefox.
To hack the page, you will encounter a small script in the Web Console. If you find that you need to do it often, you could create a bookmarklet (a script attached to a bookmark) so it is a one-click operation.
Non-reusable method
(A) select this script all over and do a right click > copy:

(B) in the tab with the instructions to print page, open the Web Console of Firefox in the lower part of the tab by using one of the following methods:

(menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Web Console
(C) click next to the circumflex accent (>) at the bottom of the Web Console and paste the script (Ctrl + v or right click > paste) and press ENTER to run it.
(D) close the web console, using the little 'x' on the right end of the bar ad detective, Console, etc., or the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + i could do.
If you go to preview before printing, you should now see the list over several pages normally. Success?
Create a Bookmarklet
A bookmarklet is a small script that you can save on your Favorites or bookmarks Menu, bar in a convenient place. Here's how to create that:
(1) select the entire script, and then right-click > copy:

(2) a comfortable place on your bookmarks bar or Bookmarks Menu with the right mouse button and choose new bookmark
(3) click the empty box next to location, and then paste the script

To test, after loading the view 'print' instructions, click on the button. When you call in print preview mode, the steps should be paginated normally.

I don't know if Photoshop is the best solution for the printing of DOCUMENTS scanned.  Photoshop opens a page of a DOCUMENT at a time, let's say you have a MultiPage PDF Document, when you open with the PS, tell him what page you want to open. Once you do, it will convert this page into basically a picture, a raster file that can be edited like a photo.  So if you go to print, it prints only one page, you have open...  So, if you have opened the first page of your document and go to print it, which explains why it only prints the first page.
So is what file type of the document that you are trying to print?  If it's a PDF file, I opened it with Acrobat/Reader, depending on whether you have and that FILE you > PRINT it like that.   Or is there a particular reason (Lighten/Darken/increase contrast etc...) you are needing to go first to Photoshop?
Give me a little more information on exactly what you're trying to do and I'll do my best to provide a workflow easier to achieve your final goal.

How to print only the text selected on a Web page and not the whole page?
 
			 
After you have selected a segment of a web page for printing, I go to the icon for printing and that clears the selection, leaving only the whole page as the selection to print.

If you use the toolbar print button, from the preview window before printing 29 Firefox open rather than the "Printing dialog window" as with the previous versions. using the button print in the upper left corner of the preview, takes you to the "print dialog window. "selected text" does not persist through the preview window; no way to print a selection of text using the toolbar print button. (a bug report has been filed on this change - regression.)
As cor - el mentioned if you start printing via the keyboard, instead of using the button print, you should be able to print a "selection" of the text.

I see you try to set your Laserjet P1005 MFP always print one page only. This isn't an option through Windows PC or Apple, but there are two ways to work around this problem. The first would be to pay attention to what is being printed by activating the mode print preview before you print. The second solution would be to have only a sheet of paper in the printer at any time.
