• Photoshop Elements 9 - cannot use the brush in the adjustment layer

  I am new to Adobe Photoshop Elements and have recently purchased Elements 9. I have problems with the brush in the levels of adjustment.

  I opened a RAW image and converted to black and white to desaturate using an adjustment layer. I then try to adjust the black and white image using several levels of adjustment. I use the brush to hide parts of the image in the particular adjustment layer I don't want to change. It worked at first, but for some reason, the brush stopped working in adjustment layers. It's a soft brush the 300px value, mode is 'Normal' and the opacity is 100%. In other words, is not obliterate anything in the layer, or whatever it is appears in the thumbnail of the rightmost (these two things happened before)

  The brush works normally when you adjust an image with no level i.e. When you simply open a RAW or TIFF file and use the brush.

  I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall it, but the problem persists.

  Can anyone offer any help? It's frustrating because I can't adjust my image selectively. I do something wrong, it is a bug, or is it just a simple matter of checking a simple box somewhere in the pre-series?

  Make sure you have your brush set to black (foreground in black color)

  and that makes your painting on the layer mask (click on the layer mask

  to make it active).

  Try just paint on the mask of your adjustment layer to desaturate the photo

  with a black brush (color to come back)

  Sometimes with several adjustment layers, strokes on a layer mask can overlap

  the strokes on the other.

  If you want more control over a black and white conversion, you can try something like

  What follows.

  1. Add a hue\saturation adjustment layer and change the layer blending mode to color

  2. Add another layer of setting hue\saturation and move the saturation to-100

  3. on the first adjustment layer (the one with the color blending mode), move the hue

  and saturation for different effects, black and white cursors.

  4. If you want to add a color tint, set the hue\saturation albums layer colouring and

  Adjust the sliders hue and saturation for effects of different hue.

  Make sure you are on the layer you want to paint by clicking on it, and it will highlight. Other than that, make sure that you use the standard Brush tool.

  Thanks for the suggestion, but it made no difference.

  However, by trail and error, I found a solution to 99%.

  Right-click on the desktop, the icon of elements.

  Select Troubleshoot Compatibility.

  Select troubleshoot program

  Select a problem (I used the other)

  Select the Version of Windows (Windows 8 for me)

  Select the Test program

  If it works, which he did in my case, save the settings.

  This seems to have solved my problem, except that I now get an extra screen at the opening of the elements to allow the program to make changes to my computer. I can live with that.

  When I get time I will check if there is any Adobe or updates to Windows that will make this unnecessary step.

  I hope this helps other people with the same problem.

  Hello all, level: Newbie'ish OS: Win7 64 bit Ps:CS6

  I made my first object with the tools of forms, LS and with the use of path selection tools and then grouped everying via the layers panel.

  Then I am suppose to add a new layer and draw a shape of Rectangle and place the layer form in the Group and especially w/a gradient layer Radial...

  so I'm suppose to use the brush on the form for airbrush an effect like the light from a light bulb not as a shadow (light), but when I go to select the tool brush I tells me that I must rasterize the layer first...

  However, when I rasterize the layer shape fills with a color that leaves me not able to get the desired effect. I draw the shape with the filling of the color set to None.

  I checked the 'user manual' but I couldn't find an answer as to what I can do.

  I tried to use the path tool to create a selection before using the Brush tool, but that also tells me to rasterize beforehand.

  So, briefly, someone can tell me how I can go about the use of the brush on a shape (layer)? I would greatly appreciate your time.

  Each tutorial is not perfectly written.  As with everything online, however polite something looks, you have to be willing to accept that there may be errors or omissions in the content.

  Case in point, between 50 and 51, step that they neglect to tell you that the shape layer should be removed once it is used to create a selection to paint on black background.  Note that the gray color went to step 51.  They are not giving you also a whole lot of detail step 52 on how to paint this nice smooth light effect.  I'm guessing that they had tired of writing, or maybe they were concerned by the lack of time to Miller.

• Cannot use the Start button

  For some reason, when I try to click on the Start button, it disappears.  I tried all day to dissable addons that sort, but it ended up doing another way.  I have restarted computor, but the Start button, always goes away until I can click on it.  Everyone comes through this before please?

  You can read the timecode source of your clips in several locations within Premiere Pro.

  If you load the clip from the source to the source monitor, don't you see the time code of the displayed item?

  This problem occurs when you use the Brush tool in Photoshop 2015.1.2 version. Areas rasterized, you see in the image below temporarily appear. If I change the scale of the preview of the Web, the problem goes away and the image appears correctly. I tried to change/disable the GPU settings but nothing has changed. I use a Tablet Wacom Intros 5 and I have the problem with the Tablet and mouse.

  Doing a lot of brushing up on an image using Lightroom is known to have this problem. The first thing to try is to turn off the graphics acceleration (go to Preferences/Performance tab and then uncheck the box here). IF this does not help, then you can consider doing your brush in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, instead of brushing in Lightroom.
