If so, can someone walk me through how I would go all this? Also, if the ISO is a viable option, should what steps I take to get his laptop up and running again after that?

  You don't have to say why you cannot right click, but you can go to bookmarks > organize bookmarks, then click on the bookmark not desired, then press on delete (or the key from context menu on the keyboard that works as a right click).
