I noticed when scrolling the youtube app there is an excessive amount of jank, its as if the screen refresh rate is too focused on his knees. someone else has tis gen2 x motorcycle problem

    Yes, the iOS YouTube app don't gives you the option to change the video quality over a cellular network. Try to open YouTube in Safari browser

    Really?  I've never seen the App Store say 'run '.  If the application is properly installed, the App Store would say 'open '.

    Try resetting the iPad now buttons power and home together for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

    I started having a problem since the latest firmware update on my 32TL933.

    Everything worked fine until the latest firmware update.
    Since then, when I connect to Toshiba Places, everything works well except Youtube.
    When I try to access Youtube, it shows the Youtube Logo and stuck on it...

    I would appreciate if someone tell me how can I solve this problem. YouTube are the only thing that I used in places of Toshiba, and now, I can't, it's frustrating cause I have this TV since August!

    Have you tried remove the Youtube app, and then add it again?

    Indeed, other people have reported such similar behaviour to Youtube app in connection with other devices of television.
    To be honest, in my opinion, that this problem could be linked to the YouTube app.
    I think this can be solved only fixing/setting of the YouTube app updated.

    The YouTube app is part of the Toshiba Cloud but Toshiba Portal as well as other TV manufacturers do not develop the apps recommended TV, but developers who are part of the smart combination of the TV.

    Don t know if you can do something to avoid this problem, but very important are (by default) TV reset after each update of the firmware.

    If not, you reset the TV by default after the last update of the firmware, I highly recommend you to do this

    I had browser chrome installed and uninstalled it., now no link in youtube App. whenever I have click on the links to youtube, it says will open in the browser? I can't cause I uninstalled the app chrome. I tried to disable the opening with chrome button, I tried to uninstall and reinstall youtube, I reset all my settings. Nothing will work.

    I have a similar problem, but I've never installed chrome, nor have I never changed any default action for the YouTube app or browser.  Simply, this started happening about 2 or 3 weeks, probably after an update, but I can't be sure exactly when.  All I know is that when posting a video of the YouTube app on my iPad Air, if there is a link to another video, for example "https://YouTub.be/RaND0mStr1NG" by clicking on the link causes a pop-up dialog asking, ' open in browser? Yes or cancel.  Simply click Cancel close the pop up with no additional effect.  Made by clicking Yes.  The dialog box closes and nothing happens.  However, if you go to one of these videos in safari and do the same thing, this time the dialog box is "open in the YouTube app or cancel. Choose open in app launches the application and play the video. I have found no solution on the YouTube forums that seem especially geard settle the creators and their unjust withdrawal problems (OB) but for zero on the iOS app and how to solve this problem. I took to grans screen which I can then use to read and manually type the link so I can watch related videos.  What a pain!  Someone must have a solution, but the search for this problem gives little tomnothing aside from how YouTube works in a browser.  I don't want that it works in a browser, it already does.  I want to work in the application, as it has also recently done a month ago.

    You cannot go back to an older firmware once the TV has been updated. I would suggest trying a reset TV factory and see if that corrects the problem. For instructions on performing a reset, please visit this site:

  • Change in the youtube app?

    I have a KDL 46EX645 and had problems with the wireless card. After replaced by sony (thanks by the way), I noticed that this new (refurbished) unit has something to do with the app youtube every time I play a video, the watermark 'play' stays on the screen for the duration of the video. There was an update in the youtube api which has not been corrected yet in the Sony software? Or is it a problem with my TV? I was wondering because it is not really interesting to use the youtube app if you watch a watermark of giant game on the center of the image for the duration of the video.

    On an unrelated note, my new refurbed tv came with a right of red pixel stuck in the center of the screen. Sony would repair such a thing? I guess that the internet access is better than not not, but having a red pixel distracting during each dark scene is not ' ideal either. The previous TV had a picture perfect, and I feel like if it was refurbed would mean that they had seen the image until they sent it and just decided to send it to me this way anyway. I know what the question would go into another subforum, but I was just curious. Thank you.

    We are aware of the PLAY icon that appear throughout the duration of the YouTube videos. This issue is being considered by the team of engineers from Sony. However, you can try to reset the TV and check if it helps.

    In order to reset the TV, turn it off > unplug the power cord from the wall outlet > connect the power cord after 60 seconds > turn ON the TV.

    A refurbished or remanufactured unit is one that is not an original, a unit of plant; It would have been by a complete re-work and inspection and, with the exception of possible minor cosmetic defects, return to the original factory specifications.

    Can't tell from your model number, but if it is an Android TV, try to erase the data on the app:

    Home > settings > Apps > system apps. Search YouTube from the list, select it, select erase data and confirm.

    Restart (just to clear any other issue) - now power press Remote button and try again the YouTube app.
