Z500 Windows8 USB 3.0 problem

Hi, I just bought my Lenovo Z500 with no operating system. So, to test the new Windows, I installed the Enterprise version 8. Everything works smoothly so far, with the exception of USB 3.0. I have an external drive, Samsung M3, which works perfectly on USB 2.0 my old laptop and my new Z500 2.0 as well. When I plug port int 3.0, the system detects, but as soon as I'm trying to cpy all files on my drive HARD, Samsung simply dissaears. I tried different drivers, Intel and Lenovo, none works (Win7 Driver tested both versions).

Any ideas? The drive itself is fine, the files are transferred via perfectly 2.0 terminal.

check the version of your M3 firmware, I had a WD actin disc 1 funny, put TB to update its firmware and smooth as butta.

  • Windows8 8500 a driver problem

    Here's my equipment:

HP TouchSmart 600 (office) under Windows7 Ultimate.

HP DV8T (laptop) running Preview Release Windows8.

HP printer Officejet Pro 8500 has A910n.

    Everything is connected wireless.

    Here's what I did:

Using my desktop computer I have no problem printing. When I tried to install my printer driver on my laptop, I found that the Setup program would not be in Windows 8. I then used the installation of printer HP Assistant (after connecting my printer to my laptop via a USB cable) to install a driver for my printer. Once the wizard has finished, I unplugged the USB cable. I was able to connect to the printer and print (even in duplex).

Here are two problems I noticed:

    1. 1. in the footer of my document only the upper part of the last line prints.
    2. 2. the driver does not seem to interact with the spooler. I had an eight-page document, and while the printer was printing page 3 I closed Microsoft Word. Stopped in the middle of page 5 of the printing of the documents.

Hey air force. Being that using questions in the section related to Windows 8 HP Windows 8 Preview Release I would say with all Windows 8.

    I hope this helps!

  • USB Flash drive problems

I have a USB key that does not work. It's a drive 8 GB flash USB 3.0 which has been formatted and works on my Macbook Pro. The problem comes when I try to use it on a Windows device.

When I format it under OSX Extended it appears under Windows but is empty.

When I format it in FAT, under Windows it says that the device must be formatted first

Either way, when I go to format the device on Windows it says that is only 200 MB space

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to use a USB flash drive on the cross-platform (Win, Linux, OSX) computers you have the next chance:

    -MS-DOS (FAT) format:

If you want to start the drive on a PC or use it with older versions of Windows, you may also need to set the partition to the Master Boot Record (MBR) for full compatibility Windows scheme:

    • Click the drive, and then select the tab "partition".
    • In the "Layout of the score" dropdown, select "1 Partition".
    • Click on 'Options' and choose "Master Boot Record" as the type of partition, then click 'OK' and 'apply '.

Format discs very quickly, although the total time required will depend on the size of the drive.

The file system resulting is compatible with all versions of Mac OS X, Windows 95, 98, Windows XP, Vista, 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, is one of the most widely recognized and usable file system formats. What makes FAT ideal of the file system to use for external hard drives or USB flash drives that are designed for use in environments with multiple operating systems.

ATTENTION! The main drawback to the use of FAT32 is the file size limit, which limits the files on the drive to be 4 GB in size or less. If you need single files to be larger than 4 GB, use exFAT, even if you lose compatibility with older versions of OS X and Windows.

-Format in NTFS and use a program like Paragon NTFS on your Mac ($ 15/20).

  • Configuration of USB 2 external 500 GB USB hard drive problems

    Hello gentlemen.

    I recently acquired a disk hard external 500 GB USB part number PX1269E - 1 50.
I have some problems with the configuration of USB 2.0 in windows XP. When I connect it to a usb 2.0 port, I get the message "USB HDD high speed plugged into a hub non-hi-speed usb", and the unit remains low-speed (12 Mbps) USB. (I checked the port with an another usb 2.0 device and the port works correctly in usb 2.0 mode).
I checked the PXI1269E - 1 50 in other PCs and I have same results. I can't make it work in USB 2.0 mode. I also have some problems with the virtual CD that is always present when you insert and mount partition. There is a way to remove it?

I only use the hard drive for data backup every day, and I don't want to use any other drive letters in my system.

The main PC is an ASUS P4P800-E deluxe with windows XP SP2 fully implemented to update and build in the USB 2.0 controller intel.

    Best regards

    DA P

I have connected the 500 GB HDD (PX1269E - 1 50) to my Satellite M40 and it works fine. It works with USB 2.0.
Guys, I think there is something wrong with the controller software or the registry is damaged. Maybe an update is necessary.

PS: I have not installed the additional software on the supplied CD. The operating system automatically acknowledged.

@parabolix: using SP1. Try to install whole MS and SP2 updates.

  • USB Bluetooth adapter problems

    Hello

I recently got a new Toshiba Tecra S1 (PM725) and an adapter Bluetooth usb (with More4you software).

But I can't make it work with my nokia 6310i

I installed new battery BT (Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba (3.10.00).

Analysis of my nokia BT Manager, but when I want to connect to it, it immediately disconnects (after that I supported on accept connection on my nokia pairing) and the BT Manager gives the error: a not to connect to the following service: Dial-up networking. Connection request failed.

I only installed the BT stack (from dir... BT package /US/) because when I run the installer from the main dir, it does not recognize my BT adapter. He keeps asking to put the int bt adapter.

I had once it works, but with the next time you start it failed once again.

    Could you please help me?

    Hello

Therefore, it is very difficult to say what the problem is. In my opinion, it is very important that
-Adapter USB Bluetooth is installed correctly and working properly
-Nokia must be added and installed as a new modem
(The Nokia modem driver must be installed)

It is not easy to help you because More4you and all settings and options there are unknown for me.

I think before you start doing anything check there at - it problems with the USB adapter. Next step is the installation of the Nokia modem driver. I'm sure you have some CD or you can download it from the manufacturer's website.

Please be careful with COM ports (you can use the standard port). In my case the standard port was COM 40. The same port, you must choose to install the modem driver.

Try again. I'm sure that there is a problem with the settings. Check all out them again.

If you discover that a problem was it please write again.

    Good luck

  • Adapter Bluetooth USB 2.0 problems wirh CN-520

I installed the software and the hardware and it seemed this installs properly but I can not access the software. Well, click on the Bluetooth system produces nothing and clicking on Bluetooth in the start menu, all programs menu produces nothing. There is no Bluetooth icon in Control Panel.

So I can't access the software. Toshiba BT hardware Port in Device Manager is not registered under Ports & Lpt. These ports appear to be unavailable or uninstalled. When I try to install the software and hardware by using the hardware installation wizard I get the Toshiba RFBUS. Wizard cannot find the software '. The software and hardware installs successfully on my daughters computer, which is the same as mine.

I got it up and running recently, however, something seems to have happened since. With the installed Bluetooth software I find now that the computer is unable to turn off the coast. It stops and I have to terminate a program before closing the computer.

It is titled "Bluetooth manager (loan)" can help you?
    Regards Gary

I think that your hypothesis is correct. You probably have a serial port problem. Have you installed any additional hardware e.g. USB-To-Serial or any other serial device using a COM port that is already used by the BT stack? All BT COM ports must be correctly installed to operate as expected. Take a look in the FAQ section for more details.

  • (S2800-400) Card PCMCIA USB 2.0 problem

Well, recently I bought this ST Labs USB 2.0 card for my laptop. When I tried to install the drivers I just got a blue screen when the pilots was almost innstalled. It was on Win XP, I got the advice of a friend to change my OS for Win 2000, I did that, but then the pilot innstaller has said that there is something wrong with the device, press Finish to open help.
I did what troubleshooting said, except that the device was not in the Device Manager to all (Win 2000)

Some help would be great :-)

    Hi, Lars

One of my friends uses USB 2.0 PCMCIA card with two USB ports and it has no problem. How have you installed new hardware? You first install driver and after that insert card PCMCIA or you did the opposite?

Is there any kind of instruction how to do it? It's perhaps better first of all install the correct driver and then restart the computer to insert the PCMCIA card.

  • "Unknown device" USB Barcode scanner, problem with the USB controller driver?

    Hello

I need assistance with our Barcode Scanners that doesn't work on our newly purchased computers at HP with Windows7 Pro x 64 operating systems.

The brand and model of the bar code scanner is:

    Datalogic Heron D130 USB.

When you connect the scanner to a USB port, Windows will try to install this as a HID, but it takes an unusually long time, about 7-8 seconds, to boot the device and install the drivers and appears as an unknown device in windows "devices and printers" and the hand scanner does not work.

Sometimes when you move the USB back can I sometimes the scanner at hand to be recognized as an HID device or a Datalogic barcode scanner,

It works fine until you restart the computer.

After restart the computer cannot detect the scanner Barcode correctly without re - appears as unknown device.

I suspect that there is a compatibility problem between barcode scanner and card USB controller on the computers.

I tried to update all the drivers available on the website www.hp.com and same www.Intel.com (chipset drivers) but nothing has helped to solve this problem

Tried newly bought barcode scanners and "used" barcode scanners earlier who works on other computers, but the problem remains.

I found a workaround by connection of bar codes in a USB hub, and then plug the USB hub to the computer.  And leave the USB - hub to take care of the communication with the Barcode Scanner.

in this case, it takes about 2 seconds for the code scanner barcode to mount correctly in windows under the heading "devices and printers" and then works perfectly, even after a reboot.

I googled after a response after my problem, but it seems I'm the only one who experience this issue. ?!

Bought more than 40 computers that I have this problem.

These were bought at different times with two different for suppliers

    Computer model are the following

    HP ProDesk 1 400 P/N5S21EA

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

The problem is not power - related.

We use passive USB hubs that solves the problemon these computers.

(it also works with the docks, or if you EliteDisplay E241 HP as we thers a usb hub 2 ports inbulit in monitor that works.)

The problem lies in the incompatibility between the Intel USB controller and the hand scanner, can be connected to USB 3.0

When you let another usb-controller support in handshakeing (such as a usb hub), it works.

Datalogic or Intel would like to acknowledge this error.

Because none of the big companies want to acknowledge the problem or repair, personally chose to switch to an AMD platform / CPU instead of the Intel and now it works fine!

We get more performance for your money when AMD is usually less expensive to purchase.

And because of the poor of Datalogic press where they don't even answer e-mail (their only channel for support)

I chose to stop using their products. I'm going to use another provider / brand of barcodescanners.

  • A40 USB 2.0 problem?

Hi, I just started using an audio interface Behringer USB 2.0 with my A40, but computer crashes quite often (blue screen displays a similar to BACK for a moment and then restarts) a friend told me, he might have something to do with the USB 2.0 drivers? Does anyone have any suggestions? And how you improve the drivers, if that's the problem...?
    capcapcap

    Hello

It will be interesting to know if you have the same problem using some other USB devices. I can't imagine that it can be the problem of USB. As much as I know there is no update. You can delete all the USB ports in Device Manager and reboot the laptop and all ports will be recognized again. After that, you can try to use it again.

You can also try a BIOS update.

  • Satellite P100-387: VT is not available & USB flash boot problem

    Hello world

I bought this laptop, but I am very satisfied with the following functions:

Processor supports VT (virtualization technology), but in the bios is not the option to enable or disable and tools like securable (grc.com) or other show that this option is disabled.
I check the version of the bios. My is last, but I try to find any information on the web from the seller of the bios and there is tool for verification of the bios.
With that, I discovered that my bios is not the last and I pay $ 38 for access (3 months) to the new version.

I can't boot from the flash drives.

I think on netbook and on the first time I thing about toshiba nb 100.
But now, I'm not sure it's the right idea.

Do you know how to solve this problem?

    Celebril

    Hello

Regarding booting from the USB flash key
As far as I know this option is not supported by the BIOS, then you will NOT be able to boot from a USB flash key.
In this case, you could start from ODD, HARD, LAN and USB FDD drive

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A100 with Modem USB internet connection problems

    Hi all

I'm looking for some help with a problem. I am struggling to solve. I have a Satellite Pro A100 and sometimes use it with a speedtouch 330 what ASDL USB connected modem, but whenever I use this at some point that I seem to lose connectivity, the Explorer does not display the pages and other applications stop working, even if I do not seem physically the connection loose. It is often the only to get back on the net to restart and start over.

The modem doesn't seem to be the problem as it works very well with my desktop and the laptop works very well when it is connected through wireless and idea and solution would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should take a look here in this thread:

There is a user who uses the same modem SpeedTouch 330 USB on laptop with Vista OS.

You will need to install compatible drivers on the site of modem manufacturer.

  • Satellite L755-144 - USB memory stick problem

I have a L755-144 Satellite with Windows 7 Home Premium.
I tried two USB keys with this computer. It works fine, the other has the following problem:

When plugged in the first time, a driver loaded for her and then he saw in devices and printers, but not in the computer. It is not possible to browse the files in devices and printers for this stick and it does not activate the remove material option safely; the files that are on it can not be seen.

I installed the latest driver USB from Toshiba, but that made no difference. Should I give up and use a different memory stick, or is there something else I could do to make this one work?

    > I tried two memory sticks USB with this computer. It works fine, the other has the following problem

I think that there is a compatibility problem between the USB and the USB key because the other key USB worked fine so I put t think that it s USB port or driver issue.

  • ScanDisk USB Flash Drive problem after upgrade to El Capitan

After the upgrade to El Capitan, I can't access the vault secure on my USB Cruzer facet flash drive. I have Plug and display files as usual but when I try to open the safe, I get the message ' Scan Disk Secure Access V 2.0 requires San Disk USB Flash Drive. Please insert one. »

The Flash Player has worked fine before the upgrade to El Capitan and I can still use the files outside of the secure vault but, basically, I cannot now access the secure vault. I'd appreciate any thoughts on how this can be resolved. I only am not an expert so please, keep it pretty simple.

Sounds like a problem of compatibility with the Secure Access software and the OS X El Capitan of SanDisk.  Try download and install the latest version of Secure Access of SanDisk.

It seems also be other users having the same problem, you may get better assistance with this through SanDisk.  Someone else said that upgrading to the latest version of Secure Access has solved the problem.
