Z5200 PS: white vertical stripes appear of some graphs when printing posters - Z5200PS

When you generate posters in MS Publisher or MS PowerPoint sometimes a graphic placed on the page will create a white band of non-printing the image width from the top to the bottom of the page.  The only printing in this range is the image.  Not all images have this problem.  The white band does not appear in the image or preview before printing in the program.  The white stripe appears only in the preview before printing HP and on the printed poster.

This has happened with several posters, but not all.  The images associated with the banding have been removed and the white band is deleted.  The images will be edited, resized and otherwise modified but still liaising with the band.

A poster done with MS Publisher that produces the white vertical stripes with a few images when printing to the HP Z5200 PS is saved in Adobe Acrobat.  The Acrobat screen image is OK.  In Acrobat print preview is fine.  But when generating the preview before HP Print or print, the white vertical stripes in the graphics display.

I tried everything I can think of.  Posters of MS Publisher look OK on the screen.  The problem occurs only when printing or using the preview feature before printing HP for the HP5200.  The files printed without this problem on our old printer large format of 500 HP.

Any suggestions on the cause or solution?

Thank you.  Your suggestion has provided a fruitful work around.

The PDF file was the same problem that the Presenter MS leader had.  Due to the size of the MS Presenter file, error messages have been generated when trying to convert it to a JPG file.

But, I went back to the PDF of the MS Presenter file and used Acrobat Professional to convert it to several image formats and attempted to print the PDF file of the file MS Presenter image format.  It worked.  It's a very winding road, but it has provided acceptable results.

Thanks again.

  • White vertical line appeared on the screen.

A vertical white line appeared about 3 inches from the left hand side on my Dell Studio 1749.  It started about 1 mm wide, but increases in width and is now about 4 mm wide.  There is no problem on an external monitor when connected.

Is this likely to be a problem with the Panel or a chip problem?

    Thank you.

Yes, probably would have worked, but I just replaced the screen in the end.

  • White vertical stripe on D820

I tried to attach two pictures to this advert, but cannot see if they appear correctly in the preview.  The D820 with Nvidia GPU and WUXGA screen shows a white band which does not change regardless of the resolution of the screen, the BIOS boot screen and screen diagnostic, running Windows, etc.  I removed the keyboard, disconnected the motherboard VGA cable and replugged and there was no change.

Does this mean that this D820 recall finally that it has an Nvidia GPU?  Or maybe there is still some hope of repair?

The advice you were given are sound - display board must be replaced.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909a, 2 1/2 years. Windows XP sp3. White vertical stripes

Vertical white middle band images of scanned documents. It was working fine an hour ago.

It seems that it is a hardware problem. I was initially hoping that the problem was with the ADF (the most common probably that I saw normally when paper or foreign objects are blocking the bulb scanner), but because it is not with the ADF, but with the flat bed scanner, it seems that the bulb is out or a Ribbon under the glass does not block the light to do what it is designed to do.

What I would say, is to call our technical support at the 800-474-6836, they have delivery options for you on similar newer printers that are re-certified HP products at a discount rate.

WARNING: do not try to take the glass on the unit to change the bulb or move all cables, when the printers are assembled they are in an extremely clean environment (for example, an operating room) to prevent dust from getting inside the printer and cause problems.

  • Equium L20-197: vertical strip appeared on the screen!

My L20-197 18 months, began to display a vertical bar orange 38mm wide pale from the top to the bottom of the screen of 40mm from the left side.

If I pinch the screen surround above the place where the Bar starts, he disappears and then returns when I let go. What is the cause, is there a simple solution or do I pinch my toshiba whenever I need a clear on-screen display?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Chrisjim.

    Hello

No there is no 'miracle' and no Don t you can't pinch your screen. Just send your machine to an authorized repair partner, hardwarecheckup, and probably because it sounds like a serious hardware problem and you shouldn't wait.

Just follow this link to find the nearest authorized service partner (ASP) and call:

  • A straight vertical line appears on my painting when I try drawing

I just downloaded the latest demo version of Adobe Flash Professional CC and when I tried drawing using my Wacom tablet, he calls in a straight line on the screen. Whenever I try to draw once again, the same thing happens. I tried to have my Tablet disconnected and reconnected it and it still happens. Then I tried to restart my computer. Still happens. I even tried other programs to see if it was my Tablet and my Tablet worked fine. So I don't know what the problem is. What should I do?

Read through some of the many other reports in the forum. It would see if one patch works for you:

  • horizontal lines appear in the photos when printing

I'm having a problem with printing photos in an indesign document.  When photos, jpeg files, are placed in the document and printed, there are small black lines that travelled horizontally through photos to a half inch.  These lines run through only the photos, not the rest of the document, and they do not appear when the photos are printed separated, and not in an indesign document.  This may be the cause?  Is there a guide that I accidentally put under tension which might be the cause?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

What version of InDesign and operating system? InDesign is fully patched?

  • I have a white vertical line down the right side of my screen

    Hi all

    Can someone help please.
I noticed a day or two there is a white vertical line appear on my screen.  Have you checked the updates etc, but nothing seems to have fixed.
    Can someone please help :-)

    Hi Vicky,

I apologize for the late response.

If you still experience the problem, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the monitor that has the problem and check if it is a hardware problem in the monitor.

This is because, in Safe Mode, the graphics drivers do not work on your computer. Because you have encountered the problem in Mode safe as well, it indicates that the problem is not caused by a problem in the software that controls the attributes of your display unit. So, at this point, it would be better if we check for hardware issues in the monitor. We do not have enough expertise to help you to diagnose hardware problems, but the hardware manufacturer specialize in this.

I hope that this information will take a step more toward the resolution of the issue. If you have additional questions about Windows, do not respond. We are happy to be of assistance.

  • Broadcast satellite M60 - blue vertical band appears

    Hi all

I have a problem with my Satellite M60. The laptop was left on the login screen upward. When I got back to the laptop screen was a little gone. When I clicked on connect, it restarts and blue vertical bands appeared and restarted the computer permanently. (Vertical lines appear on the screen when the computer is started.) I can't enter the normal mode. Into safe mode and 4 series of vertical streaks remained on the screen. In safe mode, I disabled now peripheral ATI in the device manager that allows the computer to boot into normal mode, but the veins remain. I am able to use the computer in normal mode. The streaks are also present on a second monitor.

I was advised to reformat the hard drive, as this may be a software problem. I think it is the video card. Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Well, you can retrieve the OS with the supplied restore CD. This is necessary to verify if this is a hardware or software problem. I think it s a hardware problem. Of course, it could be the graphics card. In this case, the only way is to contact the ASP.

  • vertical stripes of white screen iMac

I was using my iMac yesterday as usual. Surfing the internet, listening to music via iTunes when suddenly the screen 'glitched '. I got vertical stripes on the screen, the image was broken up and I couldn't communicate with anything. I restarted the iMac and he still had vertical stripes on the screen. I could see the Apple icon and loading bar which has been duplicated/broken upwards on the screen. Once the loading/progress bar has reached 100%, I just got a blank screen. I had to go out and when I came back 5 hours later the iMac has always had the same problem.

    Some of the things I've tried are;

1 leaving it unplugged for a few hours, all reconnect and start the system again (pious).

    2. hold the CMD + SHIFT + R + P after turning the iMac on and then by running the disk on the iMac HD utility. I get a message "this disc needs to be repaired" but unfortunately after clicking on "Repair disk" the slopes of tools a bit before telling me "Disk utility can't repair this disk" (screenshot attached).

I'll try to 'Reinstall Mac OS X' for Mac OS X utility (CMD + SHIFT + R + P), but he told me I couldn't because I was not connected to the internet? I was also worried that it might delete all my files?

Most importantly, I want to do is retrieve the files on the hard drive. I hope that it is possible, although I can't on the desktop, that it looks like I can access the drive in the disc utilities. I heard that I might be able to connect a macbook to the damaged iMac and get the files on it like that? Is it feasible using a Firewire cable?

Cheers, hope someone can share some tips.

    Steve

  • Reference Dell 5130 has 3 light vertical stripes in the print area.

The printer has three light vertical stripes which seem to affect all the colors too.  Place the solid blocks for each of the colors (red, yellow, blue and black) k each color block exihbits light strips on the left of the printed area, one near the Center and the other near the right side when printing with a margin of 1 ".  Changing the margins does not affect the position of the light areas, only if they fall within the print area or not.  When the background is white no line or band appears in this area.   Any thought as to the cause and the cure.  All consumables are reporting that they have at least 15% life left or more.

I tried the 32-bit version of Windows XP and the 64 bit version of Windows 7, even documents printing same results.

Problem solved, we can't assume that all users perform basic maintenance when you change toner cartridges.  Run the cleaning pad in each of the slots for each color, as shown in the normal maintenance and cleaning information.  This should have been made at least after every change toner because was not not like these residue accumulated on surfaces resulting scratches.
