Z575 Torpedo A75

Hello, I got just a brief question.

Y Board Chipset A75 torpedo Lenovo in the Z575 strong enough to support amd A8 - 3500M, or large model FS1 APU socket? mine is currently equipped with the A6 - 3400M, I thought grabing the A8, but I wanted to first check if Lenovo has offered a bios with the support of the APU said and 2nd, VRM on the torpedo would treat extra foil of the A8 (400 by 320 of the A6).

Secondly, lenovo, or anyone released a 3rd party program to give the user access to the profile of the cooler fan? I like to keep to a higher speed for use during rendering and other work of taxation.

Thank you for your response.

Hello.

Regarding your first question.

I have Z575 here that came with A8 - 3500M factory installed. So Lenovo BIOS officially support certainly 3500M, and VRM should be enough.

(ignore the higher clocks, I OC'ed it slightly)

Anything above 3500M should also work (in theory) that the deepening of the new APU has not changed. Yet all the APUs over 3520 M have 45W instead of 35W TDP, so if they work, you might see increases in temperature, but I think that unless you overclock cooling stock should be able to handle it.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Was the adapter connected to the laptop during the automatically close downs?
If yes then I n t think the old battery is a reason for the stop the down.

I assume that it is an overheating problem simply. Never clean the cooling modules in this notebook?
The laptop is about two years old and perhaps a dust and debris inside the laptop could have a bad influence on the circulation of air.

I think that the professional fan cleaning will help to avoid the random switch off automatically down.

  • Satellite A75 impromptu turning-off (Help!)

    Hello!
Well, I own a Toshiba Satellite A75-S2112 old of almost 4 months.
I bought in the States and moved to Germany, to go to College. So the thing is, my laptop started to turn self about 1 half a month... at this time, was not on a regular basis and well, I decided to ignore it, because it seems to have stopped once I turned off and leave my computer laptop "rest."

But since 2 days ago, the problem is really big. It will be just off; just like that. I thought it might be a horse of Troy, a virus or something, but it is even off the power during Windows startup - just by displaying the "Microsoft Windows XP" logo.

So, what guys do you think it could be? And can it be resolved? It will be as a replacement for laptop, or it'll just be fixed? If Yes, what should I do and where should I apply / send it in Germany?

I'm really worried, because I'm in a foreign country, and I don't know how to get it fixed here. And my laptop is essential during my course of study :(

I have the same time, I'll try to save all my info.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

    Best regards

    Alfonso

    Hi Pierre,.

After reading the description of your problem, my first thought is that your laptop is overheating. A thermal trigger will work if it detects that the CPU is not too hot. This will cause the cell to lose power instantly, i.e. no controlled stop.

I would recommend to clear any dust and accumulated debris from the heatsink to the CPU. Given that your unit is still under warranty, I will try to use a vacuum to suck up dust out through the suction fan grids. There are a lot of threads about this problem on this forum.

If this not solves your problem, do not try to disassemble the radiator yourself, as this would negate your warranty.

You can find your nearest Toshiba approved repairman since Toshiba Germany website:

    http://www.Toshiba.de/index.asp

Finally, make sure that your laptop is always placed so that sufficient air can get into the ventilation system. Indeed, don't put it on your lap or on a soft surface (carpet or upholstery).

    Good luck

  • Starting problem with a Satellite A75-S226

I have a Toshiba Satellite A75-S226, recently bought application

My problem is that whenever the computer cover is closed, it I cannot restore the operating system. So, I have to turn off the computer and try to start again. This is where the problem occurs when I try to start, the fan will start briefly then turns off, the screen remains black and there is no sound, the pulp and power lights are on and green and the circle around the power button is blue. I can't open the CD player or get no response from keyboard and mouse.

The same thing happens when I am on battery. This problem occurs frequently and sometimes can be solved in constant reset, however, at times it will not work.

    Help would be appreciated.

    Hello
did you install additional software on your laptop?

  • Where to find recovery for Satellite A75-S112 discs

    Hello

I lost my restore disk in my laptop Toshiba A75-S112, with serial number 45236406K.
I'm having the hardest time to get a new copy. I contacted the service centers in my area, but they were no help, as they claim that they are not and can not have or sell the recovery disks.

Yet, they can recover my machine for me. I can recover my machine on mine, I just need the disc. I contacted Toshiba support by phone and received a file number to help me in my quest to get the recovery disk, but I was told no what to do or where to go with the file number. The file number is 1-788-803-502.

I'd appreciate any help on my current situation.

It's very strange because each maintainer authorized Toshiba should be able to order the recovery CD.
Satellite A75-S112 is designed for the American market.
This is perhaps a reason why the ASP cannot get this recovery for you CD.

Here is a link to all the Toshiba of ASP.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT

I put t know if it is possible, but maybe you have to contact an ASP in the United States for compatible recovery CD!

However, if you have an original Microsoft Windows CD so that you could install the OS from this CD and then you can download and install the drivers of Toshiba of Toshiba page we.

I know I have the connection 802.11 wi - fi. But y at - it a software or a way to make my A75-S226 also use bluetooth? Any help is welcome.

    Hello

It is not just a matter of software. There must also be a device to your PC so you can use bluetooth.

The model you have seems to be an American model. Have you checked if it comes with bluetooth?

  • CATALYST 5.6 and Mobility Radeon 9000 on Sat A75 S229

    Hi all
I have the satellite A75 S229 with graphics ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 with WIN XP
I'm trying to install a new driver for this video card I downloaded from the site from ATI (CATALYST 5.6 Windows XP), but I get an error:
    The INF error
    Video driver not found
Setup could not complete the installation
Try to configure your adapter with a standard VGA driver before running Setup
Can I download the older driver from the Toshiba Web site but it won t play BF2 support
    Any Suggestion?

    Hello

Sorry, but the only suggestion is that you use the drivers from Toshiba, because they are designed to work with your model of laptop. All of these drivers are put to the test. There is no guarantee that it will work correctly if you install the driver downloaded from the download page of graphics card producer.

You can try to contact support ATI and ask them what they think about it, but I'm sure they'll tell you that, for laptops, graphics cards are the producers of responsible books.

    Good luck!

  • Very low noise of satellite A75-S211

Just installed fresh Win XP Pro SP2 integrated. Support Web site of the downloaded drivers for this version of Toshiba laptop. All recognized devices, driver installed and no conflict. But...
... sound is very very very LOW! I can hear only if I put the the volume slider to the top and put my ear to the speaker. I downloaded from www.realtek.com.tw updated AC 97 driver version and the problem persists (no driver installation using setup.exe but pointing to the .inf file in the extracted folder of WDM of downloaded the driver file - I'm not fan of SW resident installed by setup.exe with driver).
I found a few posts here about problems with audio in XP SP2. It seems a common problem for Toshiba laptops in the case of XP SP2 :-(

    Hello

There are many different opinions on the installation of SP2. I have two units with SP2 and I there is no problems.

I did not try to install Windows XP Home SP2 integrated edition. I installed additional SP2 and it works very well.

AFAIK the A75 is American machine. Please visit this link

  • Satellite A75 - config\system missing or damaged

A month ago I successfully restored all the settings from the factory with the recovery cd for my satellite A75.
Everything was working well until yesterday, I have received the \windows\system32\config\system missing or damaged.

My laptop can not read the cd factory restore.
    What I do next. ?

Another laptop home bed recovery cd I am comfortable that the CD is fine.

Should my hard drive be replaced?

    Hello

    > Another laptop home bed recovery cd I am comfortable that the CD is fine.
Seems the CD/DVD drive cannot handle the recovery disk I m not very well why, but you can try to copy this disc (burn on another drive) and then try to use the copied disc in order to restore the operating system.

In many cases, this could help.

  • Satellite A75-5211 just turns off

Hi, I had this problem in the past once and he's back now. My computer is a Satellite A75-5211. When I play any game on it (like MVP Baseball 2005), at some point the computer just turns off without any warning. It's as if all the power is just part of him! I can start again, and then everything is normal.

In the past, the problem disappeared for a few months, but it happens regularly now. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Also, I use the program hardware sensors monitor 4.2 and it tells me that my CPU1 temperature is 60.0 ° c, while the temperature of the HARD drive is 37.0

If this problem cannot be solved by a technician in person, where is the nearest place that I can go? I live in Canterbury, UK.
    Thank you
    Sebastian

To me, this looks also because of overheating.
This probably occurs because the game is a heavy application that requires complete laptop. In this case the CPU and graphics card produce a lot of heat, and therefore the temperature rises to a higher level.
Then the operating system shut down the laptop to prevent damage.

As mentioned you should check the fans and cooling modules and possibly try to clean with the vacuum cleaner. In addition, there should be enough free space around the laptop to the circulation air properly.

  • Satellite A75: Permanent vertical line on the screen

I had a Satellite A75 for about 1 1/2 years and a few weeks ago a thin line from top to bottom on the screen. The line appears as soon as the power comes on and is constantly when the computer is turned on. The color of the line depends on what should be the color of the screen. If the screen should be black, the line is green and if the screen should be white, the line is light purple. And all the rest.

I think it's probably something wrong with the screen itself or the graphics card. Does anyone have ideas on how to determine the cause of the line and what it would take to fix it?

    Jon

    HI jon,

The normal test to identify this type of aberration of the display is to connect an external monitor to the laptop. Then if the problem also appears on the external monitor, it's a fault with the graphics card. If the problem does not appear while the fault lies with the LCD display itself.

My personal feeling is that the LCD is likely to be at fault, but any authorized service center would be able to test this for you.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A75-S211 - 2 gb SD Card (Toshiba)

    Hello

I have a portable Satellite A75-S211 and it does not recognize my 2 GB SD card. The SD card manufacturer is Toshiba.
I downloaded and installed the PC card driver, but again was unsuccessful.

    Help, please.

Try another SD card? Maybe the SD card is defective or has an error.

As Garrett said, check your user manual if your computer supports this card.
