zBook 17 overheating

I have a new 17 zBook behaving strange.  The docking station, it works fine.  When I take it out of the docking station, the laptop heats up very quickly (the fan does not work) and card graphics reached temperatures ~ 90 ° C within 30 minutes (whether on battery or power - but not connected).  If I return the laptop warm toward the dock, the fan immediately and the temperature at 35 ° C or more.  This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem, because I changed the motherboard, graphics card, heat sink, fan and finally appeared for a new laptop in which I swapped the old hard drive.  The problem is still on the new computer laptop showing some conflict pilot with similar problem or BIOS fan control.  Updated the BIOS driver and display for the latest versions, but no use.

Everybody is faced with similar problem and someone has a suggestion?  Basically, I can't use the laptop off the coast of the dock for more than 30 minutes!  A few specs below - thanks in advance

So, I finally understood what the problem was.  Believe it or not, it's the monitor GPU (gadget) widget I used to measure the temperature, which was at the origin of the problem. The widget has been somehow disable the fan. If I uninstall the widget and stop the temperature GPU, the laptop works very well!  Heisenberg uncertainty principle, LOL.

This behavior was with any widget GPU, I used., I tried "GPU Monitor',"GPU observer", 'Meter GPU', and with them the NVIDIA card has shown the same behavior.  So finally I disabled the widget GPU and now just rely on my palm to test the temperature, and I never felt any heat even after prolonged use.

I can always use a CPU monitoring widget, but have no problem at all.  Just can't use a monitor separated from the GPU .  Looks like it's more interaction with BIOS HP NVIDIA, but I'm not a hardware technician to diagnose.

I hope that this message is of some use to someone in the future. Thanks to all of you who have seen this post.

    It's Photos of indexing and analyze all your photos. It is indeed the processor intensive and depending on what size your Photos library is, could take a long time. Up to 2 days in extreme cases.

    If your computer is very hot, make sure you provide air circulation all around the case. Test lift on a wire rack as as you might have in your kitchen for the cooling of cookies or use a rack of the oven.

    If it still shows signs of overheating, you can place a fan to blow air top, or even place a cold ice pack or something cold under the computer.

    I'm having the same problem. I noticed that my iPhone 7 became REALLY hot when I recover all my data to iCloud. I tried a restore, then even traded my iPhone for a new and the heat problem is still there. I think it's iOS or app related.

    I suggest you send to the factory, or if you have an apple authorized dealer / repair shop to fix the SHIFT key first, then a glance as to why the fan is still running hot.

    Maybe something has damaged the keyboard (shift key) area and also the fan internal.

    You can't have something special on the computer, but I'd always spend extra money to repair.

    The sooner, the better.
