  I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be collecting this article, except that it is obsolete.  Is About.com, Oracle.com and is thus not definitive (and Oracle's Web site even occasionally has errors).  In five minutes I could get you 10 articles on the Web about the certifications of Oracle 8i, and they've been retired for years.

  How about this a definitive link.  It is the site of Oracle and in particular mentions that 1Z0-007 retired July 31, 2013.

• Past 10g OCA/OCP test - no. $ class - OK to take the test of 11g upgrade?

  I passed the tests OCA and OCP 10g. We have no training $$s so I can't take the a required class to get the official status of OCP.
  
  It will be a problem if I also take review of upgrade of OCP 11 g? I'm hoping to pass the exam of the 11g in the coming months. I hope that we have $$s and I can attend an approved course next year and then complete the appropriate forms to get the status of official OCP 10 g and 11 g OCP.   No problems.

  Only possible disadvantages could reduce the availability of some of the shorter and cheaper g 10 course that would suit the requirement. Sometimes 11g courses may be accepted for a 10 g OCP DBA, but check first.

  (It doesn't affect you, but to confirm it for other readers, the reverse is not true, 10 g training is not accepted for 11g certification OCP DBA... those with a drive of 10g will go 1z0-042/3 and then 1z0-050 (as you do)).

  I would like to know if I need to write any more tests before or after the hands on the course must be certified ocp.

  He always worry when I see this type of question and the person took several tests but is newly today on OTN. As I said recently there are very good reasons why this can happen, but it general it is a matter of concern.

  If you have completed the requirements of examinatation and just make a hand allowed on course to meet then that's all you need to do.

  Pass the examination in a CTA is exactly the same as the exam at Prometric. The review is exactly the same and it's exactly the same thing. The only difference is the location where the examination is taken, so I believe that over-the-counter medications have set schedules to offer tests, take exams at Prometric can give you a little more freedom to your schedule.

  -There is no over-the-counter drugs to the United States.
  -There are also over-the-counter drugs in Asia-Pacific

  -I don't know where are all over-the-counter medications. It is preferable to refer these questions to a representative of the ORGANIZATION unit. They will be better able to help.

• 'View history of Pearson' does not show old Prometric Certification SCJP 1.4

  A few weeks ago, I received a message from the Oracle a few little steps to migrate my data from certification Prometric to Pearson VIEW. I did it and for a few weeks, I could check my old Prometric Certification as a Sun Certified Java programmer SE 1.4 in the history of the 'view' on the Pearson VIEW Web site. But since last week I don't see anything at this point of view.

  References must indicate your certifications should be migrated, but your story for review will not (in most cases).

• OCA by Prometric and OCP through VIEW?

  I took my OCA DBA10g two years ago (Sep 2007) via Prometric in Tokyo Center.
  
  Now, I want to take the OCP DBA10g.
  
  I created an account to VIEW and provides the identifier of Prometric (JPxxxxxxx).
  Once I have connection in VIEW, it displays "test Oracle ID: JPxxxxxxx"
  
  But there is no detail of my SANDBOX.
  
  (1) how can I associate my OCA coordinates to this VIEW Pearson?
  
  (2) is oracle provides the OCA certificates? I have not any for 2 years. Do I need to contact someone for whom?

  You don't need to wait for the exam 043. I received a response from the Japan and if you take the pre-required Japan to OCA 'Oracle Master Bronze' reviews so you contact the customer service to Japan to [email protected].

  If you did not complete the review and just look for OCA certification based on the 1Z0-042 exam, it's the overall path and you should contact [email protected] for help with your certificate. Please also indicate in your email for them you would require assistance in obtaining approved the CertView.

  I am currently studying for the version of 11g OCA (1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052) with the release of 12 c can I still take the exam for 11g?

  I am new to the world of Oracle, Microsoft certifications, you can take exams for the current version of a product as well as for the previoss version.

  Yes, you can still do reviews of 11g.  1Z0-062 examination of 12 c is still beta and not production.

  In order to be allowed to win 10 G OCP I must pass these exams in the following order:
  
  1Z0 - 042 and one of these (1Z0-007, 1Z0-047, 1Z0 - 051) to win the OCA first, then 1Z0-043(plus course).
  
  I passed 1Z0-042 and I was keen to study for 1Z0 - 043 then. I learned that before I can sit 1Z0 - 043, I would need to fill out one of these first (1Z0-007, 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-047).
  
  Please confirm the right course of action for me.

  You can take the exams in any order you like. So, if you want to 1z0-043 then (1z0-007/047/051) as you seem to want to do you can.

  If you seem to have been said misinformation... however...

  0) If you have passed 1z0-042 long, dec 2008 memory, you don't have to do a review of SQL. Certview will show your exemption if you are exempt. And you will already be a DBA OCA 10 g.
  (1) it is IMHO probably far much more sense do 1z0-051 and 1z0 - 007 before continuing with 1z0-043.
  -It's because passing a SQL you will win (with you pass 1z0-042) a DBA OCA 10 g. ... and also because good SQL will help with your practice of the Oracle and your study of OCP.

  I finished the exam 1Z0-007: Intro to SQL 9i back in 2003 and never got round to fill the other cert exams.
  
  My question is, is this still valid review or would be the first review should take place again? The results of the examination expire?
  
  According to me, it is always mentioned as one of the exams, you can fill for this.

  Yes, you very well qualify for the examinations of Certification OCA 11 g. All you have to do is, when registering for the exam of the OCA, which show your SQL Oracle 9i exam details towards the Center Prometric and other details when you passed this exam.

  It's an interesting idea.  That particular path would have several reviews need to be really meaningful. To be really good at their jobs, data architects require a wide range of skills. The image below is a screenshot of a proposal from slideshare on the qualities required by a data architect and is the best example I could find.  The elements that it includes the themes (to a degree) in several existing reviews, but also several subjects not covered in any existing Oracle certification exam.  The DBA track, I would consider to be part of a potential architect data track (covering several topics "Data content" below).  The re-examination of the foundations of database covers most of the below data modeling section. In addition, reviews the performance of the database, security of database and Data Warehousing would be useful for an architect and are represented in many of the subjects in the image.

  I think that proof of the data architect might work as well as a 'bonus' credential to earn certifications for all exams/tracks mentioned above according to the new recently announced for MAA. Even better - the certifications above could be treated as pre-requisites and require additional specific data architect review to win certification expertise.

  As a general rule, I recommend that candidates continue 1Z0-144: Oracle Database 11g: program PL/SQL rather than the exam 1Z0-147. They are equivalent regarding certification obtained the passage, but 144 is newest and best essay in general.  Discuss the two in this article here:

• OBIEE Metadata Plugin cannot loaded with 10g DB and 10.2.0.3 AWM

  I use database 10g R2 with awm10203A_win32 (10g AWM) downloaded from OTN to configure my cube. Cube, measure and configured axis fine but even if I put the obieeplugin.jar file into the location of the Plugin and configure the same path in my AWM interface after reboot of the AWM I still don't export to the OBIEE Admin submenu.
  
  However, I don't have this problem when I'm under database Oracle 11 g R2 with 11g AWM. It was perfectly well at this time.
  
  Is it because of the version of the database for which 10 g MN does not support the OBIEE plugin? I can see information below:

  So, Yes, you can use this if you use the database 11.1.0.7 or later and if you create a style of 11g AW.

  You can map style 10g AWs to OBIEE, but it's a complex and manual task. You must first generate views (for example) using the generator to view OLAP (10.2.0.3) available on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/olap/olap-downloads-098860.html. After that, you will need to manually create the mapping metadata in OBIEE.

• Whence (Oracle) OpenOffice writer (and others) certifications are going?

  Used to be a certification exam 1z0-885 for Open office (and calc etc.) writer: (see, for example: http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?p_org_id=378219 & page_id = 433 referenced at the time of the post).
  
  However, they seem to have disappeared without a trace!

• Version 10g, OBIEE and Weblogic

  1. can I use OBIEE 10 g with Weblogic that comes out of the box with OBIEE 11 g?
  2. can I use OBIEE 10 g with Weblogic support only (no box of OBIEE 11 g)?
  
  We strive to deploy in env Xnix.
  
  OC4J is the default value, which comes in 10g and we want to use the existing weblogic application server that the management considers a scalable solution.
