• ThinkPad X 220 what happened to my battery life?

  I brought my X 220 in 2011 with a battery 9 cells and could get about 14 hours of battery life out of it. The old battery and would not be at full capacity so I brought a new battery 9 cells of Lenovo in December August 2015. But the new battery gives me only 4 hours of autonomy. What happened to the other 10 hours I used to get in 2011?

  The battery seems fine. She still holds 87% of its nominal capacity. (Less than 80% the first year would be eligible for a replacement under warranty).

  99% of the time that I intend to use my Think pad plugged. My battery is in good condition and all functions.

  Battery lithium age that it is used or not. Yours is probably already very old.

  ThinkPads were not designed to be used without batteries for an extended period of time, so to keep the battery in the machine and enjoy.

  By the looks and personal observation, it's a slice battery.  but that is called an external battery, don't know why.  It is exactly the same as a battery slice.

  The two batteries together should get a high number of hours.  I'm not sure of exact times however.  with a light load as you did I'm sure that he would not die for a while.  The exact times are difficult to determine without testing.  Unfortunately I do not have a battery slice.

  I think it will be a great tool for the trip.  It is light, fast and has a long battery life.
