2960S battery, SE3 15.0 (2) & GANYMEDE

Hello

I upgraded a stack of Cisco 2960 s of 15.0 (2) 15.0 (2) SE2 SE3 yesterday.

The battery of the switch is configured to use RADIUS for authentication.

Since then, I am more capable loging to the switch using ssh or http.

I'm starting a SSH session, enter my user name and immediately I got access denied (3 times and the switch interrupts the connection).

I can't see all Ganymede packets sent to the switch to the ACS server.

The release notes for 15.0 (2) SE3 indicate no problems with Ganymede.

Any ideas?

Thank you

L

Problem is reproducible on several models.

As soon as I add

AAA authentication login default group Ganymede +.

or

AAA authorization exec default group Ganymede +.

and have a configured RADIUS server and accessible, with the first connection attempt, the HIGHER process goes up to 100% CPU load.

Login is not possible, only possibility to reach the server is rsh.

GANYMEDE-journal shows no server request.

If I go down to 15.0 (2) SE2, all is ok - using the same configuration.

Tested on

WS-C2960G-48TC-L

WS-C3650-8PC-S

WS-C2960G-8TC-L

Update:

I forgot to mention:

Switch still works properly, there is no other impact

  • 4506E Core and 2960S access IP Camera System switches

    Hi all

I implement my first Cisco network and needed a little guidance. Here's the scenario and I wish that it works:

    • 2960S access switches will have cameras IP PoE and POS stations connected to them with the core fiber uplinks.
    • 4506E central office switch will have all the switches connected to the fiber SFP uplink ports access. All fiber optic cables are single mode with LC connectors.
    • All the cameras IP PoE and the other the camera server NETWORK card will be the 172.16.0.0/16 network and in case of default Vlan 1.
    • All computers of end users and a NETWORK card in the camera server will be on the 192.168.1.0/16 network and Vlan 2. 2 VLAN is needed as the main switch.
    • All stations of POS and stand-alone server POS will be on 192.168.20.0/16 and Vlan 3 switch network access and the base.
    • It will be a completely closed network, no internet access.
    • Computers end users will access video server with raids unicast.
    • All switches interconnect fiber SFP transceivers of 1 GB.
    • VLANs are not to communicate with eachother, just need to Vlan 1 and 3, be passed on to the switch base. It will be setting ports in the trunk switchport mode correct?
    • I gave all the devices static IP networks, with the exception of IP cameras that will get the IP Address of the DHCP server.
    • When I plug in a device of watt PoE 15.4, is the port set to auto detects by default so it lights camera or manually activate PoE on the port?

-I have to run DHCP on central switch, only on the default Vlan 1 172.16.0.0/16 network so my IP cameras can obtain an IP address.

    IP dhcp pool cameras

    network 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0

    default router 172.16.0.1

-On the PoE IP camera and POS station ports I think following configuration:

    switchport mode access

    spanning tree portfast

I would like to know what you think. I have a few weeks before they must go to the production. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated!

I will be checking periodically the thread and display updates.

    Yes I see!

So with each carpet use "port 1' for each channel.

    for example

If we have a stack, there that a single etherchannel, should therefore be port-channel 1 (the first 6). This could bind to the 4500 to Portchannel 1

When we have the second battery, it will also be an etherchannel, which is the port-channel 1 (the first 6).

This could bind to the 4500 on Portchannel 2

and so on... The port-channel number is locally meaningful only so you don't meet for loops if its configured as suggested, etc...

This way you can keep it simple and you will have ease of management in this way.

No, there is no point linking medical examinations to configure

    Hope it makes sense.

  • 2960 x reload command problem

    Hey Cisco,

I think that I'm not the only one facing this issue when run command reload

    I tested x 2960 as version below

normal run charging for Member or another switch of type charging slot 2, it works very well by charging slo type 2

When I switch to reload CSL 2, typo invites me error, but seeking to confirm it; In this kind of situation, I just press on enter because I guess I type correctly

Surprise, it reload the entire stack switch

so I test it with the version recommend

same question comes, it recharges battery set switch

If typo recharge slotx 2, it always reload the entire stack

    Please consider this question

    Hi Vui,

The behavior you are observing should because you do not use the correct syntax in order to recharge the required slot.

The correct command is as follows, please note the keyword exact "slot:

    SWA#reload slot 2
By typing "charge CSL 2", you say the battery to recharge all members for the reason "CSL 2" which is used management and logging. Please see the following link for more details about this command: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960x/software/15-0_2_EX/stack_manager/command_reference/b_stck_152ex_2960-x_cr/b_stck_152ex_2960-x_cr_chapter_01.html#wp3486313748
  • 2 GB Cisco EtherChannel Cisco 3750 x 2960S

    Hello

Im trying to configure an EtherChannel between my stack of 3750 and my stack of 2960S.

    I have 2 3750 x in the form of battery. (2 switches).

    I have 4 2960 s in the form of battery. (4 switches).

I need to create a channel of 2 GB between them. My heart is the 3750 and my stack of 4 2960 s is on another floor, so I want to create a channel of 2 GB between them.

I know that you can create a PO between them, but what I want to do is to create a channel of 2 GB between them that run at the same time, active on both ports of 1 GB.

Is this possible and how? This is my current setup until now:

    Change the battery 3750

    Thank you...

    Not possible AFAIK.
LACP will provide examples of the use of load balancing and redundancy that is good enough for most.
Other then that you would have to watch the 10GB uplinks between switches for more bandwidth.

I never spent queuing. I can't find a way to clear the queue either.

I have to disable the uplink port and reboot the switch to not even enter the port of the console. At this point, I get 1 authentication attempt (debugging below) before entering the queue messages.

  • Battery, specifically in the night with ios10

It happens to me all the time, when the night comes and I don my body with this sweet sleep, it's rough on my iPhone.  Really difficult.  I'll just go on my what happened to my phone last night...

I went to bed around 01:30, my phone was 93%.  Here is a list of things that together did us before going to bed.

-Set airplane mode because I get horrible service where I live, and I learned that that saves my battery

    -Closed all my apps

    -Night market

These are normal things I do every night.  Do not forget that I have the app off background refresh and I have like 3 or 4 things in my widgets.  When I woke up just 6 hours and a half later, my phone had fallen to 59 percent.  Normally when I wake up and work all day and use the phone more (not much, I'm not a heavy user), I have no problem.  It's nighttime in general just when I have these problems.

I had an iPhone before iOS 10 and 6, I had no problem with my other phone that my * service area, but I use call in wifi and FaceTime to correct this, if my phone is usually at home airplane mode.  Got a new iPhone 7 and who seemed to have no problems for 2 days, but now I'm back for the battery drain of night time making my iPhone 6.

I doubt that is it because I don't see the problem often, but I think that my router is wrong and sometimes I lose the connection, but when the phone is in standby mode and I don't use it I doubt it would be the problem.  When I go to my use of the battery and check what is using what it says Facebook is 23%, and home and lock screen is only at 2% when it is clearly more 30% has been used yesterday evening.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm fretting here!

Facebook app is to drain the battery much. I would rather uninstall. But if you need it, there are a few tips to make energy not so consume: http://www.cultofmac.com/420508/stop-facebook-iphone-battery-drain/

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  • iOS 10 battery drain

Does anyone else have trouble with the life of the battery with iOS 10?

I have a 5 c and I charge my iphone once per day if that.  Now its hollow when I get up morning so I charge it at work and also I have to recharge at night.

I need this so because its not good for the trip. I'm going to Germany to visit family if I go in Brussels, I know that the airport has charging stations.  God forbid if I go to the United States to visit his family.

Bluetooth is disabled. WiFi is on.

is there something I can do? Any advice will be welcome.

    Thanks - danke schön

    Kimla

First, plug in your iPhone, let the screen off and do nothing for a long period of time. Leave it plugged in all night while you sleep is perfect for that.

Then, restart your iPhone by pressing and maintaining the sleep/wake and home buttons.

You can also try following the suggestions of battery life. Go to settings > farm > find 'Suggestions of battery life.

In addition, it is preferable to follow the Apple recommendations given in this article http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

  • My magic mouse has stopped working.   Is there a battery that I need to replace?

My magic mouse stop working.   Do I have to replace a battery?  If so, how?

If it's a Magic Mouse 2 then you reload by using a standard USB cable Flash. The port is at the bottom of the mouse. If it's a Magic Mouse, then you must replace the batteries. Coverage is at the bottom of the mouse.

    Hello kellyfromrexford,

I understand that you are having a singing of fast draining of the battery you upgraded to iOS 10 on your iPhone 5s.  To determine what application or process affect the life of your battery, take a look at the information in these resources:

I remember reading somewhere on the Apple site in recent years on some models of Chinese iPhone with this capability. No other iPhones display this and there is no way to enable it. I can't find the article which includes this information.
