64 PDF IFilter 11.0.01

Hello

I had problems with Windows 7 64 bit with regard to the indexing of pdf documents.  I installed Acrobat XI and reindexed (indexing options) but still get the error "registered ifilter is not found.  I read on mulitple Web pages that the answer is to download "PDF iFilter 64 11.0.01.  However, when I go to the download page at "Adobe - Acrobat: for Windows: PDF iFilter 64 11.0.01', he takes me to the page'Adobe - Acrobat: for Windows: PDF iFilter 64 11.0.01: thanks"and when I click on the download button there, I get an error saying""this webpage is not available ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED "(on google chrome and IE). "

Anyone know why I can not download this file, or where I can get it?

Thank you very much

Emlyn.

  • PDF IFilter support for 8.1 Windows and SQL Server 2014

    Hello

We use Adobe PDF iFilter Version 64 11.0.01 (here: https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5542) full-text support for PDF files on SQL Server and Windows Server 2012 2012. This works also on Windows Server R2 from 2012 to 2014 of SQL-Server even if both is not listed in the list of the applications/OS supported. But it does not work for the combination of 8.1 to Windows and SQL-Server, 2014.

Can anyone provide a solution to make it work for this combination, or know when it will be officially supported?

    Kind regards

  • Adobe PDF Ifilter 9 64-bit - files randomly on the C drive (no Cause found, resolution)

Hello, I use the format Adobe PDF ifilter 9 64-bit on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. We have a problem where when Windows Search analyzes a PDF file that contains attachments in them, the PDF filter will extract attachments and create a "temporary folder" on the C drive that starts by ' A9 * ' for each attachment. On Windows 7, these temp folders are deleted shortly after, on Windows 2008 R2, it is not. This has been tested on several machines.

I used ProcMon and notice that sends Windows 7 delete operations is not the case with 2008 R2. The process that sends the delete operation is the searchfilterhost.exe. I searched Google and found many people know this problem but with no resolution.

    Performed troubleshooting:

ProcMon ran to see if Windows 2008 R2 sends operations (it does not) delete

Activated for TEMP system environment variables (they are correct)

Tested on several machines (easily reproducible)

    Reinstalled Ifilter 9 (same number)

Indexed only 1 file with 1 file of pd with attachmetns (reproduced)

Windows 7 always deletes the temporary files/folders

Oh sorry. I was unclear in my question, I tried all of the following methods to change the key "reg"...

1 using the regedit and trying to change just one key. => ' Cannot modify UseSystemTemp: error writing to the new content value.»

    2. then I tried again, run regedit "As Admin" even if I am connected with an account admin, with the same result.

    3. then I tried to export the 'Search\Gathering of HKLM\SW\Microsoft\Windows Manager' in a reg file editing and merging back-online "some keys are open by the system or any other process."

None of these answers have managed.

The last error seems to imply that another service or application is locked this key.

I do not know how to find what he.

  • Adobe PDF IFilter

    Hello

Is that the ADOBE_PDF_ifilter 6.0 component should be used on a SQL Server 2014?

    Hi userastek ,

I would like to inform that ADOBE_PDF_ifilter 6.0 (old version) cannot be used with SQL server 2014.

You can use Adobe_PDF_iFilter 11, refer to this article to learn more on this subject:- https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/Acrobat_Reader_IFilter_confi guration.pdf

  • IFilter does not read/index pdf secure

    Hello

In this context, I made for a file secure PDF means pdfs which do not allow users to print the document and copy text and images, rather than a PDF file protected by password. Thus, this file can be read as if they are open with the reader. However, this will also cause the ifilter unable to read/index of its contents. Curiously, however, the former PDF ifilter 6.0 is able to index these files, but not for the most recent pdf ifilters.

Ifilter future releases will allow such index pdf files? What is a decision not to implement this design?

    Thanks for reporting this.

However, it's "AsDesigned" because of new changes we have intriduced 10 player safety.

  • Search for content in pdf files stopped working after the migration of Windows 2008 Indexing Service

    Hello

We have designed a search custom as an aspx page that uses the Indexing Service to search for content in a set a which coexist document types (doc, pdf, xls, etc.)

We moved to a Windows Server 2003 Indexing Service to Windows 2008 and since the Indexing Service has stopped the search pdf files. The search returns only another type of pdf files.

On the new server where the Indexing Service, I installed Adobe PDF iFilter 11 for 64-bit platform, I think it's the plugin the Indexing Service uses to find the content of pdf files.

Does anyone got the Search Indexing Service content in PDFs on Windows 2008 server?

    Thank you

Is it possible to access a pdf catalogue indexed on the web. Help Adobe seems to indicate that it is possible only if all PDF files and index are in the same folder, but it does not work. Do I need a third party search utility?

PDF IFilter is used for this purpose.  Then once the OS has indexed your web site, you can set up a similar to the IIS snap-in web search research provided by OS.

  • Problems setting up IFilter

    Hello

We have problems with the installation and configuration of the ifilter for 64-bit SQL Server with indexes, tables and databases to renovate.

    Server hardware:

    -Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit

    -MS SQL 2008 R2 64 Bit

    I downloaded the zip here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4025

I tried to install the ifilter as this (manual component

    http://www.Adobe.com/special/Acrobat/configuring_pdf_ifilter_for_ms_sql_server_2005.PDF

    ) without a new table.

On stackoverflow.com I found another Guide to includes data bases for installation:

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/272694/using-full-text-search-with-PDF-files-in-SQL-SER worm-2005

    1. Ensure that the table does not already have an index (and if so, delete it)
    2. Install Adobe iFilter (with the additional path)
    3. Run the command exec sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources', 1;
    4. Run the command exec sp_fulltext_service 'verify_signature', 0;
    5. Restart SQL Server
    6. Check PDF iFilter is installed
    7. Create indexes of text on the table
    8. Do complete re-index

After these steps, we can find " ""pdf"" " in the " ", "sys.fulltext_document_types" list " (SELECT * from sys.fulltext_document_types).
When re - of full-text searchfacility, we have the important corresponding and necessary columns times the column for binary data and the column for the file name extension are considered. After the search, full-text catalog is also able to index all the elements of the success.

The problem , it's that the full-text search (like this: ) SELECT * FROM FILES WHERE CONTAINS (*, 'XYZ'); ) does not return the results.

pourrait the problem be here now as I get No. results ?

    Kind regards

    Christian

  • PDF documents are INVISIBLE the Windows 7 search engine

Help!  When you create PDF documents in 7 the window, no problem creation, open, move, copy, etc.  HOWEVER, when I use the search function of Windows 7 (start, enter the name in "search programs and files"), these PDF files are INVISIBLE to the search engine.  We never find them!  In addition, the icon of the thumbnail of the file that I created is the standard PDF icon BUT with a blue square in the lower left corner w / arrows 2 "superior to" (as opposed to a green box with a check mark).  Please HELP I use this function to search constantly and create PDF documents regularly!  Thank you!

When I contacted Adobe support on this issue, I was told that the 64-bit filter had not been tested on Win7, so I went to the foxit iFilter.  Even this has not worked for me.  Then I discovered it was my antivirus software which is in conflict with Win7 ability to correctly generate indexes.

I have now it works.  Read the solution here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7files/thread/ef5fa7c3-bb64-4f3e-9607-3e01349dccca/#9851eea0-0573-4771-af6c-46d635ec8c69

  • Windows 7 64 bit, I can't find the content of the pdf file.

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit has been installed.  I can't search the pdf content.  I looked at the index options.  The field in front of pdf has been verified but description says filter registered ifilter is not found.  So, I googled adobe ifilter and installed it.  I have rebuilt the index. But this does not solve the problem. He finds only the name of the file.
    What can I do?

I checked another PC with Vista 64 bit.  He can do either.  He also said that registered ifilter is not found in the indexing option.
Also, I've seen a windows 7 Compatibility Center and he stated that compatibility Adobe ifilter information will soon be available. I guess they don't know yet.

Right, you must contact Adobe and ask them when they GET around it.
Jeez the OS has been available for the needs of development for only one year or so, you would think they would have dealt with it! VP Tech Services

  • How can I use windows search to search for pdf files containing a specific word?

I have a folder with several pdf files. When I use windows search for a word that I know exists in one of the files, I get no results. It does not work when I use the content: either.

How can I use windows search to search for pdf files containing a specific word?

Do I need to install something to activate search within .pdf?

If you use Win7 32 bit, the iFilter is bundled with Acrobat Reader 9. On Win7 64-bit, you will need to install it separately.

  • Windows Explorer search feature does not work on a PDF file

I've upgraded to WINDOWS 7 this month. As in the past I am still investigating several cases filled with PDF files for specific strings in the PDF file. The new feature of windows search is not finding files. I have all the indexed folders and have put the 'Options records' both 'in indexed locations... ". "and"always search file names... ". ». Niether option seems to work. I find that the search for a set of folers containing docx files work so I suspect something in the way the new alogrithm of WIN 7 search interacts with the type of PDF file: maybe something to with the recording of the PDF file to the operating system time?

In this very basic problem any help is appreciated,

    Fitz

I am also unable to search the contents of .pdf with Windows 7 files.  Check indexing according to the instructions of Ronnie above Options I have noted that, while the .pdf file has already been fixed for the indexing of content Description filter column shows "Registerd IFilter not found."  I did a bit of research and it seems that Adobe is including the iFilter in its Adobe Reader, but not for 64 bit systems which is what I am running.  A 64-bit filter is available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4025, but I have not tried.
