• Captivate support 7/8 * Dynamics * Streaming Video for several slides synchronized videos?

  I'm experimenting with inserting video streaming in Captivate lessons.  I put up a media of Adobe (AMS) server to stream video.

  When inserting video slides synchronized, it is not clear what if/how can I insert a dynamic streaming video link in a video of several synchronized slides.

  (Dynamic videos can place videos of varying quality, based on the bandwidth available to the user.)

  I think that you're supposed to use a URL that points to a manifest file (.) F4M), which lists the videos of variable flow rates.  However, I can't seem to make it work in Captivate and Adobe is a bit vague on how / if reference is made to the manifest file. (i.e. I can't find examples.)

  Then, because Captivate support dynamic streaming video?

  Otherwise, that is more robust in Captivate? HTTP progressive download or regular (not dynamic) RTMP Streaming Video?

  We did a few more tests/control-autour and have convinced us that the URL should point to the manifest file in order for Dynamic Media Streaming work.

  When we looked at the example Adobe Media Server of web page (below), we found buttons to select different media sources.

  

  The "Multiple Bitrate" under RTMP Dynamic Streaming Sample button is mapped to the URL of a F4M (manifest) file.

  The 'single Bitrate' button is mapped to an individual mp4 file.

  We also found more clues in the page F4M RTMP FlowPlayer.

  In addition, I'm guessing that Captivate cannot manage Adaptive bitrate streaming from sources non-RTMP based on the options in the menu. (See screen capture below)

  

  If the menu above is correct, the first choice is the opposite of media streaming, because it says 'Progressive Download '.  (Progressive download puts in cache the video file on the client computer).

  The next is for private Adobe Media Streaming and the third is for Adobe Media Streaming 3 rd-party services.

  So, I am pretty well convinced that it is not supported.

  I'm looking to implement 5.2 ACS using 802. 1 X, we have two distinct areas of AD.

  Now... That's the tricky part...

  One switch must support two ads, if an AD1 computer, it will be authenticated to the ACS using AD1 and applied to the VLAN1, whereas a machine located in AD2 is authenticated to AD2 and applied to VLAN 2.

  I'm looking for machine authentication, user authentication, so I guess I'll need two certificates of import of each ad.

  Can any expert please let me know if they think that this will be possible please?

  Yes ACS can support several areas of the AD, but you need to configure one of your AD domain name and the other as a LDAP database and it will not work because you plan to use eap - tls.

  The question I have is how ACS version do you use? If you use ACS 5.x, you can set up and storage of identity of sequence, so if the user is not you can move to the next store and this will prevent you from installing two certificates on each machine.

  You can then configure an allow rule for separate containers on which there are workstations (that's assuming that the machine authentication is used) for the AD database or the Protocol LDAP database, and then assign the vlan based on that.

• Creative cloud does support several personas?

  I have a creative cloud by labor account. I also want to do personal work at home with a separate set of shared libraries, etc. I guess that means I have to create a separate account of the creative cloud. It is fine, but what happens if I want to use a common (like my iPad) device for personal and professional projects? Will it connect constantly in and out of each CC account? Or, CC does support several personas so I can go back without logging in? Perhaps I could deal with logging in and out of a single device, but if I use several devices in my workflow (telephone, laptop, Tablet), it seem unrealistic.

  On a similar note, if I start a public Behance portfolio with my CC work account, lose access to it if I change jobs?

  I solved my problem;

  the problem was owner and permission on my programs, all users, the program data and my programs (86).

  As I type this i / m re - run SFC/verify only and a big pile of sucessfully some updates installed.

  What have I done? I took possession of the special directories above from "TrustedInstaller".

  Even when owned by TrustedInstaller, it does not have permissions. Some places I found rejection specific to the owner of the network.

  11.1.2.5.210 supports multiple grids on a single sheet for Essbase connections (only). Can you describe exactly what steps you take?

• How does Oracle MAF support several devices screen

  Hello

  I just started working with MAF and then wonder how MAF support devices screen mobile application?

  I found that we can customize "icon of application" for the different screen resolution for Android and iOS applications. But how about if I want to have 2 different layout for different screen/devices (such as phone and Tablet).

  Am I right to say MAF leave developer managing several screen via CSS and bootstrap as mobile web approach?

  Hello.

  There are several ways to handle this.

  1. you can try to build a complex adaptive and responsive presentation in HTML and JavaScript yourself. You will need to test on a variety of devices for Oracle cannot, of course, that test for you.

  2. you can create two separate AMX features: one for phones, the other for tablets. You can define constraints on functions to ensure that the correct path is selected when running. These constraints can check the following:

  • Available height
  • Available width
  • Diagonal size
  • DPI
  • Height
  • Scale factor
  • Width

  3. you can use taskflows in your AMX features and look for the values mentioned above in a router activity, for example. Then, you redirect to AMX pages designed for the appropriate form factor.

  Personally, I would choose #2 or #3. The productivity of the AMX components compensates for more effort to build things twice.

  The public WorkBetter of the MAF sample uses the #3 strategy; You can take a look in the organizations.xml workflow for an example.

  Looks like you used just basic acts attached to the buttons. And when you do this, the break is released. Advanced actions don't release the break.

• Captivate 7 - several test results?

  Hi all

  I'm pretty new to Captivate, but use more Adobe CS for years.  I have trouble understanding how to do one or two things about the results of the quiz, and I was hoping someone might be able to help.  I have a 10 question quiz is worth 1 point each for a total of 10 points, and I slide before and after the test.  I am on Captivate 7 on Windows 7.  If all goes well, Miss me something obvious!  I defer to the greater knowledge of the forum and the users of power I see here!

  
  

  First of all, I would like the results slide to display different information according to pass or fail.  Also, I was expecting to set up the continue button to go back to slide 1 if the user fails the quiz.

  My first question, I did a little research and found this tutorial: using advanced Actions (CP5) to show the conclusion, based on several partitions

  I tried to add several legends and images, hiding a game to fail conditions and showing that the other defined in function pass and enter the advances in stocks to add the conditional script.  I put it to run to enter the slide of results, with captionPass and a green check mark set to display with a note of 7 or more, and captionFail, and a red X mark to show with a score under 7.  Unfortunately, I can't understand why he continues to display the legend and the images to spend conditions even when the quiz is down.

  Secondly, I would like to define conditional actions on the continue button so that it moves to the next slide on the pass and jumps back to slide 1 failure.  It doesn't seem like I'm able to change the default buttons added to the result slide, I'm able to add my own buttons or click on the boxes that would be my workaround.  Is there a possible way to achieve this functionality?

  All the help that a smarter person is willing to share with me would be much appreciated!  I have included my workspace screens, the quiz options and advanced actions.

  Hi all

  Well, I finally found my own solution.  I remembered that this post had not responded, so I thought I would provide some closure for me and anyone who is having a similar problem.

  Captivate 7 requires a significant amount of trial and error to track problems of this kind.  I literally had to use all the combinations of options and settings before you find what standing things upwards.  It was a combination of the conscious 'branch' parameter have a conflict with the option «resume quiz»

  I had to remove the test of recovery and on/off button each setting and each configuration test, I found that disabling the induction of branch resolved the problem.  This in turn allowed me to add a tip action on the screen after the result slide, which allowed me to return the user to slide 1 with reset questions.

  Not sure why it was so hard to track down.  I know I am a new user to the CP, but the parameters described were in my first few screenshots.  Logically, it tells me that everything in CP is not obvious to even the most advanced users.  This is not a flaw with the people using CP7, it's a flaw with CP7 itself in my opinion.  Too complicated with too much setting conflicts that are not easily recognized.  Well, sometimes you just got to keep hitting your problem until you create your own solution.

  Thanks to Ron and Lily to spend their time trying to help me, I really appreciate it.  I learned a lot about CP7.  But I hope for a little more off CP8, we will be upgrading soon.

  Yes, I read in parallel when hold the following conditions:

  + Two records have different low internal nodes in the Btree, that is to say, their keys are not close in value. By example, if you have a large data set and you read keys with random values, this condition are usually held. If you read two keys that are adjacent, the condition usually won't last.

  + The file system supports simultaneous playback. I use methods of file system standard for playback.

  If the records are in the cache, only the first condition applies.

  We have two companies that will merge all of their IT infrastructure.  Currently, each company has its own domain.  I'm trying to find out whether or not a single domain controller can support both networks/domains, or if we will have to manage two separate domain controllers.

  Just spoke with the guy from Linksys. WAG320N really does not support IPTV. And more Linksys not all router ADSL with IPTV (line new WAG). In my opinion, it is not good for brend like Cisco. I was belived in Cisco. But now, I'm very angry. Before buying I cannot find any information on IPTV on Linksys website. Announced just as «...» Ideal for applications focused on media like streaming video, games and voice over IP telephony... ». Now... I'm not sure it's true... And maybe another stanza on Linksys web is just a myth.

  I Don t think it is possible to go to more than 8 GB in the Advanced edition. I Don t find anything in the documentation to go further than 8 GB.

  But if you need multiple data stores, you can go up to 10 devices POS by vCenter.

• A PC to support several users simultaneously. How?

  Hello friends:

  I have a Dell XPS 630i desktop computer installed with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit. The office is a quad core cpu, videocard (512 MB ram) processor, and a sound card. My vision is to allow the members of my family (3) to connect to simultaneouly system and work individually using the separate monitors, keyboard and mouse.

  To do this, I installed VMWare Server 2.0 and created virtual machines with it. In a virtual machine, I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit. When the host and the VM are running, separate monitors show different content by extension of office. But the keyboard and mouse are in collision, which means they control the same cursor.

  What I am doing wrong?

  It will work for 2 users, but only 2 users.

  You might want to look at something like that...

  1. VMware Server running on your desktop, with several virtual machines of Windows XP.

  2. Keyboard, mouse, monitor and light client devices (maybe an old slow PC) using the product free X 2: http://www.2x.com/

  3. Then the light client device to each user will connect to different virtual machines of Windows XP

  To be honest with you, it would be much easier with separate work stations, because they are quite affordable nowdays.

• Captivate 7 - several boxes click does not

  I would really appreciate some help on this. I have read the forums and it seems that this appears again and again. I tried some of the solutions, but I can't seem to make it work.

  I have a slide with 8 boxes on it. I would like to for the user to click on the box and then get a definition in the form of a text box. I wish they were able to click on the box 1 or all the boxes before moving. I would like for them to choose to spend with a "Continue" button that goes to the next slide.

  On reading the preview, only 3 or 4 boxes to click will work. Then, the boxes to click on stop working. This isn't the same 3 or 4 boxes, but just the first that work. If I take a break on the button continue, it will work. In the contrary case, it stops as well.

  At first, I tried to do this as a simple action. Then I read that the advanced Actions will allow playback to continue. The peak Action is 1 line Show and then the text box.

  Here is my calendar. I would appreciate help with this!
