  as far as I know, you will still need to convert hex rgb for extendScript.

  where layer (1) is your solid and [1,1,1] matches a value RGB (0-1 range) you want-

  I cut out and made copies of the headlights, wheels, grill, etc., and put it on layers above my adjustment layers - then applied the curves, levels, brightness/contrast and hue/Sauration - for the great blacks, but tries to retain the strengths and make them "pop". This is the hardest part. When I adjust the highlights as much as the customer likes, I'm starting to get the strips in color, and it starts to look like Posterization - not what I want.

  You can try using a double layer of your car on Multiply (or even 2 or 3 in doubles). then possibly an adjustment layer to reduce the saturation.  Group together and hide well out of the car. should produce something like this

  Some of the available color & size options are not available because Windows 7 Basic is a theme and will replace some of the items you choose. If you choose Windows Classic, it should allow you to change these colors and sizes in the window color and appearance UI.

  It's just the way it is. If you want all your work plans to share the same color, create a giant rectangle that covers the entire work area, all work plans will share the same base color. Change the color on all layers by changing the color of the rectangle unique. Or you could use an overall color and change the build of the color in the swatch Panel.
