Adobe Flash 11.4.402.278 causes browser crashes & wrong download requests

I have installed Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278 on multiple computers, Windows 7 Pro.  After installation, various Web sites (i.e. MSN.com, Yahoo, YouTube) to lock up trying to open.  This problem occurs in both IE9 and Firefox.  The workaround in IE9 is to disable the Adobe Shockwave Flash add-on.  Secondarily, users receive repeated requests to download Flash, even if it is already installed.  To make matters worse many video files will not even play after that user charging Flash 11.4.402.278.  Does anyone know how to return to an earlier version of Flash?  I had no such problems with the previous version (. 265, I think).

  • Flash embedded in the page causes browser freeze and quicktime download prompt

    Hi people,

This is the Web page in question: http://www.visionone.org.au/sonseekers/about_sonseekers.aspx (Please note this page has audio).

The problem is that the page - loading, causing the browser to freeze and a prompt box download quicktime to appear (even if sometimes it just seems like gray a box without text). The browser should then be closed via Ctrl + Alt + Delete function. The only way that I discovered it was a quicktime download prompt box, was that I opened the page in Chrome, I think, and he showed the text allowing me to perform the update. If this page works fine for me now.

This page was working fine until about 3 weeks - I didn't change anything on the page to make it all work differently. Other people have had the same problems, see this page - regardless of what browser they use. It is important that this page is viewable by all, without having them to go through the dramas of installation of a quicktime update thing (or whatever it is). The majority of people visiting this site is not web/computer savvy.

I think it might have to do with a security setting for Windows Update and the AC_RunActiveContent.js file that references the flash embedded in the page. I have been searching google for the past few hours and found nothing even remotely close to help solve this problem.

Someone at - it had a similar problem and found a solution? Or if someone has an idea how solve this problem, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The page does not freeze in firefox 3.62, but I got the guest of quicktime which is caused by the use of quicktime as the MP3 at the bottom of your code.

It has nothing to do with the AC_RunActiveContent.js file.

Sorry for the late reply!  You seem to have all that is necessary to run Flash Player on Firefox.

I also have trouble understanding why you are facing this problem.  However, I have more than one idea: you can try if the 64-bit version of Firefox, Waterfox, works better?  I've been using Waterfox since it was released, and I have never opened Firefox again since.

  • Adobe Flash Player starts suddenly many ActionScript errors on some pages.

Suddenly, Firefox is having a hard time on the pages of ActionScript, including the Adobe ActionScript reference site. It is a very common:

TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
    at ZeroClipboard()

These errors always at least slow down the program to a crawl, and usually just Firefox freezes completely. I use Flash 11.4.402.278 on Windows 7 x 64.

If that doesn't work in Firefox Safe mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

  • Adobe Flash does not properly

The following issue applies to both I.E. and Firefox.  Also, I've updated to the latest version of Flash: 11.4.402.278.  Remember that I tried everything I could find regarding this problem.  Also, I use Windows XP SP3 32-bit.

I used to be able to watch video from any Web site which had videos to watch, but recently I was not able to watch everything, not even on YouTube.  However, after uninstalling and reinstalling Flash I can now watch some YouTube videos and nothing of any other web site.  On YouTube, sometimes it works better if I turn off the Flash. However, when a note appears saying: I need Flash and I re - activate Flash, it still doesn't work.  No reviews say anything, it simply will not play video.

Also, if you are familiar with NetFlix, on their web site, when you hover your mouse over a title of the video a popup is supposed to appear telling you the video.  Who has stopped working too.  We're all screwed, and I don't know what happened.

Also, when I finished to reinstall Flash (what I did a few times lately (after uninstall and follow carefully the instructions in the video to uninstall)) and I'm automatically redirected to the Adobe page that tells me that I managed to install Flash, I never have the small animation.  He said that Flash is installed correctly, but I have never the animation to show that it is correctly installed.

In addition, other sites who have test animation to show that Flash is installed and work, their animations ever appear.  The problem also occurs when you try to use the Web sites that test my internet speed. I have no get the applet or interface on the upload and download trial sites.

I found that the problem was my Total Defence Internet Security Suite (formerly Computer Associates Internet Security Suite)

After the complete withdrawal of this program, Flash works fine.

  • How can I download Adobe Flash Player on my Kindle fire HD?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm new on this and have yet to find an answer.  How can I download Adobe Flash Player on my Kindle fire HD?

    Hi Dover111,

That said, some users were able to get Flash Player working on Kindle using Dolphin fire, a third of browser.

  • I found 2 Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugins (two years of bits on the same version)

After having to downlonad Adobe Flash Player 64-bit because my browser Mozilla Firefox prompted me to do, I went to check my programs and features to make sure that everything was in order.

I was puzzled when asked me to download this software because I thought as my personal laptop already had that, but I did anyway, when checking for programs and features, I saw that I had two identical files.

Is it necessary to have both? They are exactly the same, there is no evidence that they want anything culinary, yet it seems that my Mozilla has not recognized the first.

Because I'm not a technical genius, I need help. I'm afraid to delete one of them. I am afraid to delete the first since my cost of Mozilla to do not recognize it, but if I delete the second will be my other browser not recogize the second. Or maybe I'm complicates!

    I appreciate your help.

    Does look like this

If Yes, this is normal - the ActiveX control is the add-on for Internet Explorer and the plugin is the add-on for Firefox.

More important still, I can't play the videos that require adobe flash player.

Hey, glad that worked for you. This DLM sometimes causes a problem for one reason or the other.

If you have problems with the 10.3, after return. Some changes have been included. For you, with the help of IE8, I think that the only novelty is the Flash Player settings manager that you can find in the Panel. You will see the Flash Player it.
