  • the software is impossible to uninstall adobe reader XI. Missing acroread.msi

    Hello

I have windows 10-day of the recently and had to reinstall adobe reader because it didn't work anymore with windows 10. Obviously the Adobe reader installation is poorly made and I can't open my pdf files.

(Windows10 myself open my PDFs with edge, that I do not like because I find it impractical).

So I trying in vain to uninstall adobe reader pour the re - install properly.

BUT when I want to uninstall adobe reader the following message is displayed:

followed by that, when I click on OK

    and finally this one

    Ilme missing the acroread.msi file

The Acroread.msi file is not on my computer. I don't know where to find it elsewhere.

I can not reinstall adobe reader directly (without deleting the old one, even if it is incomplete) because the installation block current, of the view that this program is already on my computer, even if it does not!

I've been on labs.adobe.com and tried the adobe acrocleaner cleaning program, this does not work either.

    Thank you for your help.

Sophie never came back, so we do not know if it has ever solved its problem, but it worked for most people. You can try to use this tool first remove all traces of your computer:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Then you can download the full Setup offline reader for the version you want from

    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

  • Adobe Reader 9 plugin crash

    Windows 7 Home Premium

    Firefox 3

    THAT IS TO SAY 7

Whenever I try to read a PDF with Adobe reader in a browser, it crashes and I get booted from the browser.  If I try to read the PDF outside the browser using the player, the plugin even error window opens and the player crashes.

I'm not fully sentient computer, so I don't know how to make a report of crash, but if anyone can tell me how, I'll give you a fun one.

I saw on another forum to do something with the DLL, but I'm not sure how to do this.

The only way I was able to read pdf files just live "google documents" when I received it by e-mail.

Could someone please help?  I need to view/print the documents for a legal battle about my child and I am not able to do currently.

    Thank you!

First of all - what version of Adobe Reader do you have?

And now things get a little complicated.  Adobe Reader can be a plugin for Internet Explorer, and it crashes when you try to open a PDF document online.  It is not unknown; Sometimes.

But when you open the stand-alone version of the Adobe Reader software, it crashes with an error in plugin.  This time, it is a plugin for Adobe Reader, not Internet Explorer.

In addition, you write "the same error plugin POPs" - so I can only assume that he is a player plugin that crashes, not the plugin IE.

What I would like to try in your situation:

The path to the second line above could also be ...\Reader 8.0\... depending on your version of reader.

  • How to force using the software adobe reader instead of the browser chrome.

I created a form in adobe and put it on my site. I need to force the user to automatically open the file in adobe reader, because the form does not work in the browser. How can I do this?

    Hi pinewild,.

It is not possible for you to do this settings, that's what the user needs to do to an end.

Needs of the users to disable the PDF Viewer in the web browser plugin, now the PDF opens in the web browser & will need to be allowed to download. Once you have downloaded the PDF, it can be opened in the reader.

Refer to this topic how Force open a PDF in Reader 11 instead of IE 10.

  • Adobe Flash Player plugin missing

I recently discovered that my Flash Player is outdated and compromise my system, so I uninstalled the old version (version 14.0) and went to the Adobe site and downloaded the latest version. However, I can't find the Firefox plugin. I searched all over the site and was unable to find it, so now I have no Flash Player for my browser. Can someone help me find the plugin?

In fact, according to Adobe, XP is still supported under version 15:
    https://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

If it still does not work, you can try to download an archived version from the Adobe Web site:
    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/archived-Flash-Player-versions.html#main_Archived_versions

Just look at the last version worked for you.

  • plugin missing from the producer Portal

We had a private plugin distributed through the producer portal while we were waiting on approval for our public.  Some time yesterday afternoon, our private plugin stopped appears under "Published" and our audience is always in the same condition "Submitted" under "not published".  They contain different bundle ID so I guess that would be independent, but at least we need the ability to distribute one of them.

    Thank you

    Mark

I think I know what happened.  Over the weekend the producer Portal launched errors when I tried to edit the metadata.  It seems that at somepoint these errors caused the plugin to retract.  I have not tried it again, but I don't see the old plugins in the redacted list - so I suspect it will fix.

  • How to download adobe reader

I had a huge problem, update my adobe flash player, I think I could have solved to look here. The problem now is Adobe Reader, with everything I did install, reinstall, etc. I suddenly can print pdf files. I just uninstall the drive and now it install it at all I get the black screen of death in step 2.
Can someone help me to reinstall in the hope that I can print again?

    Thank you

Article use the Adobe Reader to view or download PDF files plugin wrong with details on how to install Adobe Reader. It simply connects to the Adobe download page. If I remember correctly, you can download the installer for Adobe Reader XI from this page, even if on Windows Vista, by choosing Windows 7 as OS.

In any case, Firefox now has its own built-in PDF Viewer, so you have other ways to open, view and print PDF files in Firefox, in addition to Adobe Reader or other PDF browser plugins. See view in Firefox PDF files for more details.

If your problem is only with the installation of Adobe Reader, maybe an article from Adobe will help you?

For installation problems of Adobe Reader which are not resolved by reading the articles above, your best bet would be to ask for help on the forums Adobe Reader.

  • Adobe Reader 10.1.2 crashes on Find or advanced search

When I try to do a find or search on a PDF document in Adobe Reader with standalone or browser version 10.1.2, suddenly, it stops working and I have to close.  Sometimes the search will work, but it brings the reader to plant.  Everyone knows this and is there a solution?  I use Windows 7 SP 1 64-bit Pro and Internet Exlorer 9 32-bit (the default).

Repair has not fixed it.  I used Revo Uninstaller to do a clean uninstall.  Uninstall it using the application uninstall and then will search all of the remaining files or registry entries. He finds some so I got rid of them as well.  I deleted my temporary files (%temp%) and emptied the Recycle Bin.  Then I donwloaded and installed Adobe Reader 10.1.2 from the web site.  It works!  I am so happy that I have much long PDFs and use constantly.   Thank you for your help.

  • Removal of Adobe Reader

    I use a PC with XP sp3.

I don't seem to be able to remove Adobe Reader 10.0.1 from my hard drive. When I try to use "Ms Add/Remove Programs" to remove the drive, the msg I get is "is located on a resource that is unavailable".  When I go in the actual file under programs and try to put the Adobe folder in the trash, the msg I get is "cannot delete identity-H".  (I cannot find this file in a separate in MS search file). What should I do?

I want to start over with a reinstallation of the v10.1.0 because I get a message "update of Adobe Reader' every day and I feel that this too often.  Can my immovable version of Adobe Reader have been compromised with a key logger or some virus that is send some of my data, rather than really update my installed version as often as all the days?

Your reader installation may be damaged; Use Windows Installer Cleanup (http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459) utility to remove the corrupted installation.

  • Adobe Reader plug-in for Safari can't find Adobe Reader

I keep Reader.app Adobe in Applications/Local-A/PDF Software.  When I try to open a PDF file in Safari (5.0.3), the plug-in cannot find the drive.  I have so that it points there everytime I open Safari.  I would have thought he would know where to find the first time, but it doesn't.  How I definitely tell the plugin where to look?

    Hello

Default installation of the Adobe Reader X plugin browser checked to install a package. No have you customized your installation, and unchecked this option that indicates you do not want to install the browser plug-in. Another possibility would be that you are using Reader 9 both Reader installed in your system and after Reader X X, you have successfully updated Reader 9 assuming the Update 9.4.0 in 9.4.1. This will change the plug-in version to 9.4.1 (last updated).

A way to have the X version is re-run the installer of Player X and it will repair your plug-in version 10.0.0. As an advisor do not use Reader 9 and Reader X in the same system (even if possible). You can simply delete the request of version 9 and continue to work with Reader X installed.

Second, to answer your question that only Safari constantly asking to choose the Reader app, that you can do is open com.adobe.acrobat.pdfviewer.plist in Preferences in any viewer plist. He must have a key - WebBrowserUsePath. It should point to correct the application reader on your system. Normally, its value is something like - file://localhost/Applications/Adobe%20Reader.app/

In your case, you moved Adobe Reader.app for Adobe-Software/Applications/Local-A/PDF Reader.app

Change the value of this key to point to a correct application. Here, it should be - file://localhost/Applications/Local-A/PDF%20Software/Adobe%20Reader.app/

This will ensure that Safari will not prompt again.

    Thank you

  • Adobe Reader 8.1.7 upgrade path?

Could someone please explain the upgrade path to Adobe Reader 8.1.7 for me? I read the tech note "Adobe Acrobat and Reader to date and deployment information" and I am still a little uncertain.

Our most currently deployed version is 8.1.6 but some of our users still have older versions (8.1.2 ~ 8.1.5) installed. I've been distributing Adobe Reader via SMS 2003 from version 8.1.2 as below:

    8.1.2 - customized using Adobe Cusomtization 8 (Setup.exe /sPB /rps /rs) Assistant

    8.1.3 - customized using Adobe Cusomtization 8 (Setup.exe /sPB /rps /rs) Assistant

    8.1.4 - straight (number installAdbeRdrUpd814_all_incr.msp! /norestart)

    8.1.5 - right installation (number AdbeRdrUpd815_all_incr.msp! /norestart)

    8.1.6 - right installation (number AdbeRdrUpd816_all_incr.msp! /norestart)

So, what is my upgrade for Adobe Reader 8.1.7 - right installation path (number AdbeRdrUpd817_all_incr.msp! /norestart) or do I need to customize using Adobe's Assistant to keep the desired settings? Appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thank you very much.

Adobe Reader 8.1.7 patch can be applied only to 8.1.6. Then first you must bring all your systems to 8.1.6 and then apply 8.1.7 patch.

Custom settings do not download if you install 8.1.7.

If you have a system with 8.1.3 or 8.1.4 or 8.1.5 so that-

    Apply 8.1.6 patch--> Apply 8.1.7 patch

If you have a system with 8.1.6 then do-

    Apply 8.1.7 patch

If you have a clean system, then the shortest is to install the reader 8.1.7-

Install Reader 8.1.6 Apply patch 8.1.3-->--> Apply 8.1.7 patch

NOTE: Reader 8.1.3 is an install (msi) full 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 are patches (msp).

Plugin from Adobe reader is listed in Firefox, but when I try to open an editable electronic form in firefox instead of display the form it shows a blank page. Firefox and Chrome use their own viewers for PDF, not the Adobe Reader plugin.

P.S. to post some screenshots, use the camera icon in the editor forum.

  • How can you get Adobe Reader Plugin for Google Chrome announcement

    Hello

When I go into Google Chrome Plugins there are only 5 of them, but when I saw screenshots of others of their plugins there are only 18 of them! HOW CAN I ADD THE ADOBE READER PLUGIN? ! ? ! ?

    Thank you

    Hunter

    Hi huntero70375715,

The Adobe Reader plugin is not supported in Chrome. The chrome team decided to withdraw the support of plugins like Adobe Reader NPAPI. Here is a blog that describes their decision - chrome Blog: The Final Countdown for NPAPI

On Windows, it is always possible to change the behavior to look at a PDF Chrome default by configuring plugins (chrome://plugins).

Please see KB: browser configured to use the plug-in in Adobe PDF

Them a workaround, please refer to this link Chrome 42 blocks Java, Silverlight and other plugins by default now - gHacks Tech News
