  Thank you! When I restarted in safe mode, Find worked normally. Then, I closed Firefox and restarted in normal mode; Find continues to operate normally.   I'm an old Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium user and always use this version on an older Mac.

  I recently had to replace the internal hard disk, and then reinstall Adobe Creative Suite 4.

  Everything works well except for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

  In a first time Installer recognized the Acrobat 9 Pro is already installed (I had originally copied throughout the old hard drive that wasn't). But he wouldn't let me not reinstall it because it was already there. I tried to launch Acrobat 9 Pro, and he would ask for a serial number but would not accept serial number CS4 that is listed on the back of the DVD case. I then uninstalled using the uninstall program provided and try again. Then the CS4 installer it did not show as installed or available for installation. The associate listed element only Acrobat was Acrobat.com.

  I downloaded and installed, but even once, when I get to the screen the serial number, it puts a red X when I get my serial number CS4.

  Yes, it worked.

  So the trick was to disassemble the old drive that had a previous installation of CS4 on it, I was replacing this drive with this new or would refuse to install Acrobat CS4, but would be happy install all the other CS4 applications.

  I have a page that can be accessed twice, let's call them 'left' and 'right '. I want the page to know which side I was coming, so I put a variable requestScope on buttons navigate to this page, something like this:

  To amplify what Timo has rightly said: JSF goes through its joyful life cycle, is one of the steps to rebuild the tree of components in memory. When you use the property made, this particular component is not in the tree of components - it is as if it does not yet exist according to JSF. Then, when it comes time to respond to the events, the event is not seen or is ignored (I don't know who) because JSF think not that this component is present. As rightly says Timo - this behavior is why the 'visible' attribute was created.

• Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac does not work

  I installed the Creative Suite 4 Master Collection on my new iMac and MacBook Pro.  InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop works, but when I try to open Acrobat Pro, he says he needs repairs.  When I hit continue, it freezes with just a bar with nothing on it.  It won't even quit smoking.  I have to force quit it.  I tried to download the files; I installed initially using the CD, but the installation says it works and nothing changes in Acrobat Pro.  What can I do to get this program to work?

  Acrobat 9 is not compatible with El Capitan. It is also too old to be eligible for an upgrade, so you'll need to buy a new license for Acrobat DC.

• Adobe Acrobat - create PDF Chrome Extension does not work

  The extension was installed when I installed Acrobat Pro XI and worked fine until Chrome has been updated to version 29 or 30. The extension is enabled, the drop down menu works, but it does nothing when you click on the drop down choices.

  It sounds like the PITA kludgiest thank-you, sketchiest - especially since there is no previous examples of success. Adobe should fix this problem. It's as simple as that.

• Reveal in finder does not

  Hi and thanks for reading. This isn't a big problem but I couldn't find any information on this anywhere. I noticed in 5.5 when I click on a clip and try to get it to show up in the Finder, nothing happens... I think that it worked when I installed it all first, but I can't be sure at this stage. However reveal it in Bridge works and find the file. I thought that things will get better when I did a clean install of Cougar and then installed CS6 but the problem is still there. I think it's more convienent to see in Finder and then fill especially waiting bridge open. Does anyone have any ideas why reveal in Finder does not work for me? If this serious, I did a reorganization of Adobe applications... I have the rest of the Production... I moved them all from the Applications folder to a sub folder in the Apps folder Adobe. I don't know why Adobe them away stuff like that. Thanks for any help on this.

  There is a major bug in OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 that prevents "Reveal in Finder" (open in the Finder) to work in a variety of applications. Workaround: when he gets to run the following in a Terminal:

  sudo killall -KILL appleeventsd
  

  or, Alternatively, quit appleeventsd , in the activity monitor.

  Maybe your problem is related to this.

• Finder does not show folders

  I have a macbook Air 13 "bought in 2011, it has OS X 10.9 Mavericks installed and since yesterday the Finder does not work. When I open it it does not show a folder or a document, and it shows strange reasons (reminds me when my old Windows crashed).

  Important to note is that if I use a projector I can find the files, then open them. Also when I upload an image on the internet and I have to select from the computer via the Finder (regarding the screenshots attached), it works well. In addition, as you can see from the screenshots, on top of the viewfinder, I can see the files and I can open them somehow. If I change the view of the researcher, song to a list, so I can't see anything and can not open files.

  I tried to restart the computer, turn it off and turn it on all by pressing the SHIFT key, but it does not work. Interestingly, when I force to quit the Finder application and I re-launch, for the first 10 seconds, it works, then it stops working.

  Do you have an idea what could be the problem?

  There is no built-in tool that does this in Acrobat. You might had a third party script or a plugin installed and adds this option at the request, like this: UVSAR: tool for selective flattening for Adobe Acrobat 8, 9 and X

  I think it is a bug. I uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled Acrobat v11.0.0. I tried the link and it works properly. Then, I installed each both updated and tested the hyperlink. Update 1-10, that the link works. However, when the 11.0.11 update is installed, the "Go to a page in another document" hyperlink stops working in browsers. V11.0.12 installation does not solve the problem. If I uninstall Acrobat and install v11.0.0 with updated v11.0.10, everything works fine.

• Finder: Search in the current folder does not work

  I have a folder in my finder 'search in the current folder' where returns 0 results even though I get the names of the files in this folder.

  I tried to add this to the honor, then removing it so that its reindexed and I tried to remove finder invisible (and other) files, but that is not worked.

  I ca 300 PDF files in this folder. I tried to create the new folder somewhere else and add these PDF here and yet the search does not work.

  Someone knows how to fix this?

  Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple. I see that there is a folder with about 300 PDF files that you are not able to search through the search option. I know that the research allows me to find just the right file. I'll be more than happy to help.

  You did a great job so far with re-indexing of that folder. First of all, to start in safe mode. This will be clear cache files and perform a few system checks. Once in safe mode, see if you can search inside this folder. Here is the article about how to start in safe mode. You can ignore the part where it says "If your Mac does not complete startup".

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

  Reboot will leave safe mode. If this does not work, try to test this question in a new user and copy the folder in this new user to see if this is a question broad system.

• Sierra: Finder does not display the modified files

  I just upgraded all my Macs and minis to Sierra 10.12 and have run on something that looks like buggy.

  My usual use of a Mini special is transcoding many video files, and I have a collection of (painfully tedious) shell scripts that manipulate file names, do the transcoding and moves the files to one directory to another to make this work. In * most * folders that I see in the Finder when a file is moved to the directory it shows in the Finder correspondent discovered, but in * some * of them, the Finder does not update when a new file is moved to the underlying directory, is renamed or deleted entirely.  For example, I see there are 28 video files to be converted into a directory named FLOOR TRANSCODE using ls - ls in the terminal, but only 6 looking at the same folder in the Finder.

  These scripts have been working for several years on this material under El Capitan and Yosemite.

  Records I've noticed so far are all in the root of the drive HD server, not under no/Users. Finder appears to display all files when displaying the files moved to USB external drives for storage after transcoding. Another element that might be relevant, is that my normal view of the mac is via RDP (Remote Desktop "headless", no physical monitor in use).

  Have you noticed something similar?
