AutoConfig on DB level

Y at - it a reason why Autoconfig (or any other script - for ex - adpreclone.pl) on the layer DB would crush the init.ora?

Also supports on the layer of DB spfiles autoconfig?

We will have instances about autoconfig crushing the int.ora, play with the listener.ora resulting in a file files corrupt listener.ora.

Is it because we have two instances running on the same roof (same binary?)

Thank you

I believe that it is not supported and that explains why none of the docs cover this procedure - please log an SR to confirm this with the support of the Oracle.

For the rest of the questions, I think that I already answered them.

Thank you
Hussein

  • AutoConfig required after changing the Paswords

    Hello
Everytime when I use it to change the password apps and sysadmin, I always use to run automatic configuration after you have changed the passwords on the application and database level.

    AutoConfig & change password

But a few days back we had problem in our DR autoconfig changed the entries of the AMT and the password file and the sending of log files has been arrested.

This time, I'm afraid. Should I run it every time on the applications and the database.

Should I must run autoconfig on DB level also after changing the FNDCPASS apps on the Application tier password.

Yes, please run AutoConfig on each node application/database layer.

    Hello

'cp' is not recognized as an internal or external command
    operable program or batch file.

You have all the pre - req OS software installed on the target node (MS Visual C++, MKS,.. etc)?

Please search for the executable file of cp and make sure that the directory where this file is located in the path before running the script adcfgclone.pl.

Mr. Hussain, it would be more useful if you can start a new blog aspiring apps DBA. +

No title please :) The blog is on my to-do list, but do not know when I will start with it.

the question is sloved by the following steps.

    1. in my case, the firewall is turned on then I m unable to access ebs application in the browser. so turn off the firewall on the server.

    2. in the-> simultaneous set I check every manager and change the host name of the server test (instead of host name of server prod). After eating this all is implemented successfully and works very well...

Before starting the application services, you must ensure that the database and the database listener are running. So, please, check the database log file and make sure you have no errors reported in the database alert file.
