Background music volume control

I use Captivate 8.1 and I imported a background music to run through all the slides.  Can I create a button on the first slide that will allow the Viewer to increase/decrease the volume of the background music for all slides.

No, the system volume control variable will affect all the audio, not only

background.

  • Background music with control button

    I have a presentation that introduces a substantive piece of music at the start like this:

    _root. Music = New Sound();
    _root. Music.attachSound ("intro_music");
    _root. Music.Start (0,999);

    (where intro_music is the identifier for the mp3 in the library. There is also an acting as an 'OFF' button / switch 'ON' and I want to use the following script to control the playback of the music that this button is activated by the end-user:

    {We (Release)}
    If {(_root.playing!=1)}
    If (musicPosition == null) {}
    musicPosition = 0;
    }
    _root. Music.Start(musicPosition,0);
    _root. Playing = 1;
    } else {}
    If {(_root.playing == 1)
    musicPosition=_root.music.position/1000;
    _root. Music.Stop ();
    _root. Playing = 0;
    }}
    }

    When I use the button for the FIRST time (first press) script I really get the music begins to play again under the initial read. The second button silenced the two readings. Additional pressure restarts only one reading of music (controlled by the script button above). I am trying to establish what bit of the script button I need to delete or modify Flash to recognize that the video is already playing, but whenever I have to 'tweak' - I break! I am primarily a designer, not a programmer, so easy to follow suggestions on script changes would be great.

    (PS the parameter number of loop in the script of punch (see above) - 999, does not have the loop attached at all - is this a bug?)

    Sorry, missed that part. To do this, just initialize the variable game you have 1.

    _root. Music = New Sound();
    _root. Music.attachSound ("intro_music");
    _root. Music.Start (0,0);
    _root. Playing = 1; added this line
    music.onSoundComplete = function() {}
    _root. Music.Start (0,0);
    };

    Then when you click on the button, he'll know that music is already up and running as you would expect.

  • the volume control on background music

    I finished my first iMovie composed of video clips.  I have two questions:

    How to lower the volume of the background music for a few seconds only

    How to disappear the music of a song before the end of the song.

    Thank you

    Hi, grosen25,

    There are two ways to adjust the volume in the latest version of iMovie (10.1.2).

    One way is to select the audio clip, and then click on the speaker icon in the toolbar at the top of your screen.   This will reveal a scroll bar

    allows you to adjust the volume from 0 to 400%.

    Another way is to first click on the settings button in the right middle of your screen and select 'Show waveforms' in the dialog box that results.  Then select the audio clip.  You will see a horizontal volume control line that runs through the clip.  Place your cursor on the line and move it up or down to increase or decrease the volume.

  • How can I control the volume of a voice in a video + background music

    I would like to control the volume of a person speaking in a video and the volume of the background music independently of each other with two volume bars. The problem seems to control the voice of the video.

    What I can do... but not really wanted to do:
    (1) control the volume on voice and music at the same time (but not independently)
    (2) control the music but no voice

    Here is the actionscript code that controls music. The ActionScript of voices is considered as being almost totally similar.

    I use Flash 8. (Any flv) video name is LD

    bgSound2 = new Sound (this);
    bgSound2.attachSound ("Guitar");
    bgSound2.start (0, 99);
    bgSound2.setVolume (0);
    playB.enabled = false;
    slider2.slideBar2._x = 20;
    slider2.slideBar2.onEnterFrame = function() {}
    bgSound2.setVolume (0-(this._x));
    };
    slider2.slideBar2.onPress = function() {}
    startDrag (this, false, 280, this ._y, 0, this ._y);
    };
    slider2.slideBar2.onRelease = slider2.slideBar2.onReleaseOutside = function () {}
    stopDrag();
    };
    stopB.onRelease = function() {}
    bgSound2.stop ();
    playB.enabled = true;
    stopB.enabled = false;
    gotoAndStop ("playB");
    };
    playB.onRelease = function() {}
    bgSound2.start (0, 99);
    playB.enabled = false;
    stopB.enabled = true;
    } ; stop();

    Thank you

    Thanks A.Arun,

    Here's what I did
    My "quick" fix was to place the two sounds, actionscripts to _root, using the video voice for first script sound and music in the second. I deleted the break buttons (because you can still lower level 0) and for the first script, I used:
    bgSound1 = new Sound();

    Now, I can turn the volume on the two sounds independently to the bottom to the top.

    Sincerely
    Jens

  • The volume of the background music does not

    I use iMovie 10.1.2 on a MacBook Air from mid-2011.

    I am putting together a video where I interview different people. I added the accompanying music. Between clips of the interview, I inserted pictures. I want the background music to falter when I interview someone and then fade to the top when there is a picture.

    I chose each of the interview clips and checked the box to lower the sound of the other clips. For some reason any that doesn't always work. Sometimes the audio reduced as planned, but sometimes it does nothing. I tried to uncheck and check again, but still no luck. I also tried to add the support music once again, but it still doesn't work. I checked the audio support in case I had also chosen the lower the audio of other clips in the audio accompaniment, but I did not.

    Please could someone help!

    Perhaps she sometimes considers the volume of background music quite low compared to the clip of the interview.  You can always select a range in the background music and reduce the volume manually.  It is an extract help files:

    It should also work on the background music.

  • No background music in Age of Empires II Collectors Edition.

    There is no background music in AoE II and AoE II Expansion.
    I tried just about anything and have scoured the internet for people with the same problem.
    Apparently, the problem is unusual for the collectors edition, as the background music for AoE II remains on the cd, after installation, to broadcast while playing the game.
    I tried different things, but none were successful.

    Yes, I turned up the volume on the computer and has nothing to do with a button "On / off music" non-existent.

    This may help for future reference. If DVD media does not contain files in a first time, you are out of luck. If so, it is probably compressed in a format to archive, similar to what Activision did with the development of their game. Different may be a compatibility issue with this game and CD/DVD drives. Originally, if I'm not wrong, an audio cable should be connected to the sound card of the user and the CD/DVD drive to transmit data to the audio chipset. New disks do not use technology.

    This could help:

    Click Start, click Control Panel, click performance and Maintenance and then click System.
    Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
    Click on the + (plus sign) next to CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, click your CD-ROM drive, and then click Properties.
    Click to check the digital audio CD activate this CD-ROM devices checkbox and then click OK.
    On the file menu, click on exit to close the Device Manager window.

    ALSO! Take a look at this:
    http://sharkyforums.com/showthread.php?p=100456

    It would be strange if the collectors edition lacked the OST and then the original edition had.

    Thank you!

  • HTML5 audio player has no volume control

    G ' Day,.

    The HTML5 audio player not support since apparently version 11 volume control. We are now at version 26. Is there a plan to restore a volume control

    Here is a variation on the script. Two major differences. First, it inserts a little bubble with a character and only shows the cursor when you hover over that. Second, it is designed to add the controls next to any audio < > without any customization, so there is a chance that it will work on your PBX page, assuming it is the space for the cursor.

    var players=document.getElementsByTagName("audio"); for (var i=0; i<players.length; i++){var slider=document.createElement("input"); slider.setAttribute("type", "range"); slider.setAttribute("min", "0"); slider.setAttribute("max", "100"); slider.setAttribute("step", "10"); slider.setAttribute("value", players[i].volume*100); slider.setAttribute("style", "width:100px;height:2em;display:none"); slider.setAttribute("oninput", "this.parentNode.previousSibling.volume=this.value/100"); var sNew=document.createElement("span"); sNew.innerHTML='<span style="color:#fff;font-weight:bold;vertical-align:top">&nbsp;&Delta;&nbsp;</span>'; sNew.appendChild(slider); sNew.setAttribute("style","padding-top:1em;margin-left:6px;background-color:#aaa;border-radius:8px"); if(players[i].nextSibling) players[i].parentNode.insertBefore(sNew, players[i].nextSibling); else players[i].parentNode.appendChild(sNew); sNew.setAttribute("onmouseover", "this.children[0].style.display='none'; this.children[1].style.display='inline'"); sNew.setAttribute("onmouseout", "this.children[0].style.display='inline'; this.children[1].style.display='none'; this.children[0].blur(); this.children[1].blur(); this.blur()");}

    Put your XP CD in your CD/DVD player, don't let it start.

    Then: Start > run > type in msconfic > enter > extract the > at the top of the page type sndvol32.exe > to the second point in your DVD/CD player > thride type in c:\windows\system32 > then check out the file, replacing if necessary.

    Or

    Go to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and copy the sndvol32.exe file in your c:\windows\system32 and crush. To access this file, you need to enable "Show hidden files/system files" in Windows Explorer (Tools > Options > display etc.)

  • The volume control on the right side of the bottom bar has disappeared.

    Recently, I was a watch UTube and the sound was too loud. When I went to use the volume control which has always been on the side of the
    the bar lower, it was gone. It could have happened after an automatic update of Windows. The same thing happened on one of my friend
    computers. I am running Vista on a Gateway laptop, but my friend has Windows 7 which should not be the problem. How can I reduce the amount if I can't find the icon and there is its control on the video or for that matter the music I listen to on the Web?

    Right-click on the taskbar, click Properties, notification area and uncheck and then click on the volume control on the bottom.

    hope this helps
  • Windows Vista Volume control - several users connected

    Vista Home Premium. Several users. IE8 on a site playing music.
    fast user switching. The music heard in the new session of the user. Mixer volume control unable to see the other application users to turn off the music.
    How can I make Blender see other sound control applications users

    Hello gmayes,

    In addition to what Anthony has provided above the quick change of user in Windows Vista is designed to run programs that are specific to each user profile. This means that when you play the music in a single profile and use the fast user switching will continue to play music and the secondary profile will not have access to control the Web pages or the volume of the music played on the primary profile.

    Using programs of another quick switch mode user profile is not something that is supported by Vista right now.

  • The volume control icon has disappered from the taskbar.

    A few days ago, I turned on my pc and found the volume control icon that is normally displayed on the taskbar background, had dissappeared?  I explored all the options (icons hidden etc.), but the icon does not exist anywhere.  Can you help me?

    Click on the link below. Enter your number of product as that indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop (can be under the battery). You can also get the product number by pressing Fn + ESC key. After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers.On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Download & Intall the latest Audio driver. Reboot the laptop and check the results.

  • IM using windows 7. my volume control icon is missing, how do I get it back? __

    I don't know what went wrong, but after using my laptop last night and start using it now, I think not my volume control icon, I'm pretty sure that I saw him last night because I tried to change my volume settings while playing downloaded from music.  Also, I downloaded Nero 9 last night it would be the cause? Please help me...

    I'll wait for the answer, any help would be much appreciated... :-)

    Step 2:

    .. .restart computer and check again.

    That's exactly what I did!... when restarting didn't work the 1st and the 2nd time, I restarted again!
    I have a PC HP Compaq on Vista.
    I installed the new HP D2660 printer yesterday,
    restart the computer.
    Each icon is a shortcut to a page of browser Firefox Web is empty, is not going anywhere.
    The volume control is missing from the system tray.
    No sound on YouTube videos for example.
    I have double checked everything connected ok.
    I downloaded an audio driver of HP/Compaq's Web site (which I can't do):
    "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Update for Vista
    "Compaq Presario SR5152NX 2008-03-01, Version: 6.0.1.5548, 12.34 M
    Restart the computer by following the instructions.
    Panel, sound, speakers, Realtek HD Audio shows: work
    Taskbar and Start Menu, right-click on the taskbar system tray, properties, Notification area... Volume icon is gray.
    I now have in my taskbar icon of HP for RealtekHD Audio Manager but no Volume icon.
    Sound now works well for example on a video YouTube online, but missing still Volume icon from the system tray.
    Restarted the computer.
    At hp.com, customer service for my computer model, instructions for the Volume icon on the taskbar:
    Notification area of the taskbar, properties, right-click... Volume now shows black :/ Checked the box 'apply '.
    "If the icon appears in the area of Notificatioin' you're ok... He did not show.
    Restarted the computer.

    Came here for Microsoft (it would have been easier if I had come here in the first place :/
    Right-click on the taskbar, Notif.Area, clicked on 'Volume' once again, clicked OK... volume icon now present in Notif.Area AND on the taskbar. Yay
    I consider myself lucky... I didn't have to do the 15 steps the registry editor or delete registry Explorer keys and shouldn't have, thank God.
    Thank you

  • Windows 7 automatically my volume control (results in all devices being cut).

    Hello

    I've traveled around a solution to this, but I had no chance at all.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and I find that the volume control seems to have a mind of your own.  After starting my computer, sometimes the sound is muted.  If I try to increase the volume using the volume control slider, Windows 7 he dragged down once again and I am unable to do anything unless I reboot and get lucky he did not yet.

    There are also times where it will be repeated enough randomly while I have a game open or I play music or just about anything else.  Once it does, it is impossible for me to put my levels sound back as they were, without having to reboot.

    Specifications of the PC:

    Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 ghz.
    Motherboard P5KC with 4 GB of RAM.
    Creative X - Fi fidelity.

    I tried right click on the volume control, go to the sounds-> Communications tab and selecting 'doing nothing '.  I tried to update to the latest drivers available for my sound card, directly from the creative support site.

    I don't know what else to do.  It is extremely frustrating to have to reboot unnecessarily several times a day because of this problem.  I googled for answers and saw that there are other people who have similar problems, but they seem to use a different material than I am, and there is not a lot of information circulate another that "update your drivers", which did nothing for me.

    Could someone please recommend anything else I can try?

    You guys are going to be shocked but - after I had all the settings and the tinkers pilot and got no where - I UNPLUGGED my wireless mouse and used the pad - I had to order my volume - up and down immediately.  Something with the mouse is in conflict with the sound program.  Maybe my wheel mouse or key has been blocked causing an automatic decline or increase - not sure.  For me, the mouse was the culprit - good luck!
