  I saw a demo in Adobe Help Viewer 2 for adding background sound to a slide. I had to use the menu item "Movie. However I don't have a 'film' menu item The name of the application in the demo is "macromedia Captivate. Is this another application?   Macromedia Captivate would have indeed been version 1. We are now up to version 4 and Adobe is now owner of Captivate because they acquired Macromedia years.

  If you want to add the background sound, click the Audio menu and select Background Audio.

• How to leave the background sound?

  I chose accidentally Audio > record for > slide background. I just wanted to select slide. Is there a way to exit this window without Force Quiting Captivate? I did a lot of work and that you have not saved recently.

  You can usually hit the keyboard ESC key to exit a dialog box.  However if you do you will lose any audio signal you may be saved in this window.

  Your screenshot of dialogue does not appear to display the usual buttons at the bottom that allow you to record audio or close the dialog box.  What happens if you click on the tab change?  That gives you options to save the audio recorded and close the dialog box.

• Disable the background audio when entering the slide

  I put a check mark on stop the background sound to a slide. However, if a person continues forward and then return to the slide, the background sound plays. I want to have one on enter Action that will prevent this situation. Does anyone know if there is a way to stop the background sound in an action on enter?

  There are audio slide in the slide, so I won't stop completely all the sound elements, just the background sound when a person returns to the slide again.

  I imported a background music, but I need only for the first slide. It should be an introdcutory with music background and recorded spoken text flashfilm.

  Hello

  Rather than import the background sound try importing audio to the slide. If you are using Captivate 4 or 5, you will then have an option for audio looping. This will allow you to have the loop on any number of individual slides. In your case, the first, and last slides.

  I created a slide show with windows vista movie maker.  How to shorten the music files to match both of the selected slides.  Using the fade out option did not work

  You can try the following methods and check if it helps.

  Method 1:

  (a) open your filmmaking program and create the slide show using your photos. Choose the options you want for changes between the photos and the duration of each photo display. If you need help, then check out the help file in your theater program.

  (b) open the import file dialog box. In Windows Movie Maker, it is in the part of '"movie tasks', section"vidéo Capture." Browse your files to find the mp3 file you want to import, select and import it. Will import it into filmmaking program but it will not in the video.

  (c) search for the file in your filmmaking program and import it into the film. In Windows Movie Maker, you can drag and drop the file in the position in the window of time movie online, where you want that song to start playing.

  (d) scroll through the timeline until the end of the song. Drag the end of the song in a position to match the end of your slide show. This will be the end of the song at the same time exactly like your slide show.

  (e) read your film completely from the beginning to the end and ensure that everything is with the song the way you want that there. If you are satisfied with the finished product, then export the movie to the right format and the file will be ready to play.

  I have 7-8 audio file (*.mp3) and I provide a feature in my application that the user can select the audio file that he wants on gettting no msg.

  I got that how make an action on RBF select but now I want to play a sound on RBF select.

  I M still able to vibrate the phone on select any file, but how can I play a sound?

  You want to completely remove audio or you want to keep your audio files and only to remove some unwanted background noise in it? To get rid completely of audio, do what Dave has suggested. For only getting rid of background noise, send the first clip to the hearing and to experiment with noise reduction capabilities.

  If you look at caspian.css, you will see that the background color is affected by - fx-accent. So the best thing to do is to change the value of - fx-focus:

  I want to have the background on my Captivate 5.5 project, and audio needs a loop thoughout the project. But I don't want to start playing until the slide 4. Is it possible to do it, maybe with tip action?

  There is an audio accordion in the properties of the slide.  I haven't opened it yet, but I think that he has 'stop the background.'  I used it before you stop the background music when I have voice on and then let it resume later.
