• My e-mail does not work. I'm unable to send, receive, delete, or move e-mail messages.

  You can check with your DBA if you have privileges to the UTL_SMTP and APEX_MAIL package.
  Configure your e-mail settings in the internal workspace > Instance settings

  This happened to me also. Automatticly updates installed on 1-13 and caused a problem Windows Live. I restored the computer to a time before the update, but today, (1-14) he be reinstalled automatically again. Same problems up to a removal of updates. KO 2419640 & KB2454826. Not sure how to cut automatic updates and it will probably happen again.

  Look in your folder /logs/ for your messaging log. See if it lights up everything.

  What happens if you send a test message simple to an e-mail account? do you get?

• Mail does not work on OS 10.11.2 (El Capitan)

  I've upgraded to the latest version of El Capitan last Friday. I had no end of problems with Mac Mail. First, it would hang because he tried to check the database. I am using the Apple Store, Apple Care and advice on these Forums of Apple. I finally got to 99% good sailboat. But last night I was asleep, the power went out and returned. (The clocks were sighted.) When I restarted my iMac and restarted Mail, it hangs without ever opening. I reinstalled the 10.11.2 update combo, but nothing happened. I can't find the Mail file, if there is, as the prefs files in other applications. And I have not found a separate mail Installer. From what I can tell, I can only install Mail during the complete installation of El Capitan. It's not even a way to check which apps to install.

  I need to get Mail operational return. How can I do?

  Make a backup, preferably 2 on 2 separate drives.

  Exit the Mail.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail.  Move the folder com.apple.mail on your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the content.

  Reboot, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, recreate the required e-mail settings and import emails you want to save to the folder on the desktop. You can then put the file in the trash. If the problem persists, return the folder where you have guessed replacing one that is there.

  If he does not repeat the above using Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent.

  My work email has an apostrophe in there, and when I add this e-mail account, I am not able to see/open one of my emails from this account or my account (which doesn't have an apostrophe in the address). When I delete the account that owns the apostrophe, my other account and then behaves normally. Is Apple aware of this problem, and there will probably be a fix?

  I don't know if it's good or bad. I got up to 05:20 this morning and none of my apps to work. I could touch them, but they would have started and that's all. I have disconnected my home wifi/modem and it seemed to solve my problem. Perhaps a coincidence, not sure.
